Relby, the often-overlooked subsidiary of the larger and more profitable BlasTech, has developed a reputation for making off-brand blasters, and perhaps no product emphasizes this more than the Relby Classic-Series no. 12. The RCS-12 was based, albeit very loosely, on BlasTech's older E-11 rifle design. While the outer shell is a mixture of wood, durasteel and plastoids, this is essentially just a shell wrapped around the same key components. The only difference is that, rather than having the stock fold up, it can hold a spare power pack instead. For this reason the RCS-12, like many of Relby's weapons, has seen little use outside of niche markets.
Legal. Ownership of blaster rifles is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, however openly carrying such a weapon in public might be on more "civilized" worlds. On less civilized worlds, it still might draw unwanted scrutiny.
