For military personnel and civilians alike, losing eyesight is a profound misfortune. The inability to see loved ones again or to perceive colors can lead to multiple psychological issues, such as depression.Synthetic Horizons has made it their mission to create a cybernetic prosthetic for the eye, enabling individuals to regain their sight. The innovative ophthalmologic Neuro-Dock, co-designed by M.D. Blec Croncu, can connect to the remaining optic nerves, allowing people to truly see once more. However, this procedure is specialized and requires either a trained ophthalmologic surgeon or a neurosurgeon for precise placement of the Neuro-Dock.
Additionally, the device includes a camera capable of taking photos through voice commands or blinking. The photos can be recieved via any datapad once linked with the eyes. The Neurodock not only replaces the eye socket but also includes an artificial lacrimal sac. This sac produces tears through a blood filtration system, which moisturizes the remaining natural eyelids. Additionally, it enables the recipient to shed tears in response to specific emotional triggers.
The eye itself is available for all species.
