  • What is going to happen in your plot? Aurelian submits data found on a previous Star Squadron assignment which reveals the location of a Smuggler Base in the Thonner System. Later he is contacted with a request from the Noble Court, relayed through his superiors, to fulfil a request. Aurelian and his fellow Squadron member Ner’Giza are both commanded to to assist Noble Court’s shipyards with a theft of their property by pirates. They wish this property recovered and the thieves dealt with.
  • What other players will be a part of this? @Kayenta Moenkopi @Wit
  • Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place? Thonner, Koda Station & Burnin Konn.
  • Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
    1. [Ask/Dice]: Aurelian Keth and Ner’Giza will move into the Thonner system and land at the Smuggler base on the planet. Here they will eliminate or neutralise the pirates and reclaim a shipment of stolen military grade components used in the construction of starships, all in crates all marked with the manufacturers logo of Burnin Konn Shipwright. - Note: This will count as two tech threads as per the bonus from an earlier mission - Link
    2. [Ask/Dice]: As the Galactic Alliance Freighter finishes loading up the cargo pirate fighters return from patrol to find their base has been assaulted. Engaging in a dogfight with the pirates Star Six and Star Seven will defend the Freighter from the hostiles.
    3. [Ask/Dice]: Unfortunately due to damage sustained by the Freighter they are forced to divert course to Koda Station for repairs. The group sent an alert to Star Base on Hoth about the trouble prior to landing. While waiting for the ship to be repaired the Station comes under attack from Nagai Raiders. Once more the Star Squadron pilots are forced to defend not only the Cargo transport but the station itself. Luckily during the fight another member of Star Squadron (Star Star One - Alys) arrives being sent by Star Base Command in response to the earlier alert.
    4. [Ask/PVP]: Safely delivery the goods to Burnin Konn the Shipwright representative offers the two Star Squadron pilots a new C-55B M-wing starfighter each after commenting on their “outdated” Malla-Class fighters he asks only one thing in return. He wishes for a mock dog fight in which the two pilots will constantly try to outmaneuver each other. The Starfighters will be have their laser cannons modified to extreme low power so as to be as potent as simple beams of light, while torpedo launchers will be disabled. The event between the two experienced pilots which will be recorded by drones, this will provide more footage for Burnin Konn Shipwrights to use as examples of the fighters capabilities during future sales as a marketing tool. The two pilots agree to put on a show during the simulated fight.
  • What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
Through providing assistance and recovering vast amounts of stolen goods Star Squadron, and so the Alliance, will earn further favour with the Noble Court. Aurelian and Ner’Giza will be rewarded with a C-55B M-wing starfighter each, the same ones they used for the simulated dogfight. Furthermore with the destruction of the smuggler base and the last pirate fighters the Endor Sector will now be even further secured for future Alliance use.
  • Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
    No

Love the efforts to get my new starfighter!

A few things though:

The first thread seems a bit wonky. All of those parts would be pretty large and so it would take several ships (or one big one) to steal them all. Not very easy for a pair of starfighter pilots to deal with. You might want to reword that one a bit.

The last thread also concerns me. Usually, flight simulators are done like the real world: virtual reality that simulates flight to a realistic degree. If you use real starfighters, there's a good chance of injury. I'd edit that up a bit to reflect that as well.

Let me know when you've made the edits! @Lazy Swordsman

First thread I'll try and come up with something more believable, I didn't realise the components where too big to fit into a freighter. I just thought 20 standard tons meant plenty of room.

The flight simulator thing was meant to be more like a mock dogfight is in real life (jockeying for position) with the lasers turned down so they can't cause damage but would still be visible (basically beams of light) added for showmanship. The whole "marketing material " angle was just for some added fun.

I'll try and think of a way to better fit things as you suggested and tag you when I do. Thanks!

@Malon

Thanks for the feedback!

Since I'm not sure on the physical sizes of the components is the modified mission to make it less specific better?

I've also edited the fourth mission to try and lay out what I mean a bit better. A mock dogfight (as in real life which is more about trying to get a better position on your opponent) with the added benefit of the harmless beams of light for a little "flash" for the cameras. - If this isn't suitable the only other thing I could think of would be to do an actual dog fight against unmanned drones that take the form of an older fighter (maybe Malla Class) or something like that?

Sorry for being a pain, never submitted a plot before so trying to wrap my head around requirements :)

@Lazy Swordsman I see you've been online relatively recently. Do you still want to try and go through with this plot?
