AKIVA
The custom starfighter soared past Raydonia, bypassing Mustafar as it continued on its track towards the remote planet of Akiva. This past week had not gone as he anticipated; after all the work and travelling he had done, he planned to have his newly forged armor ready for deployment. However, it seemed these incompetent engineers continued to throw wrenches in his plans and kept inflating their demands for the certain devices he wanted installed on the new suit. Hands flipping through the consoles, he navigated the airship down past the Witch's Finger landmark. Tires kidding past the cliff as they entered into a mesa covered on both sides by dense jungle.

Shrubbery covered the ship as Gunner leaped out of the cockpit, a nice camouflage to keep it away from any scavengers or raiders that happened to lurk by. He wasn't sure of other humanoid lifeforms inhabiting this planet though considering the old manufacturing plants, it must have been at the very least scarcely settled. Typical armaments include smoke grenades x 2, frag grenades x 2, disruptor pulse wave rifle, and the aggressor series sniper rifle. Loading power packs and chambering the weapons, he slowly began to track through the jungle. Armored boots crushing over natural flora as a set of datapad coordinates guided him towards his target. The Droid factory shouldn't be too far up ahead and with nightfall fast approaching, the moonlight would provide enough glisten for him to continue his path.

Even as darkness descended upon Akiva, the production at the droid factory continued seemly without end. The engines of manufacturing can be heard loudly all to the nearby jungle. The facility itself was surrounded by a electric powered eight feet high fence shaped in a square formation. At all four points were a guard tower, each manned a company security officer armed with a stranded sniper rifle and a pair of holobinoculars. The front gate itself was sufficiently guarded by two auto blaster turrets, one for each side.

On the grounds, dozen guards paired in two man teams, constantly patrolling. Added to this level of security was the cameras placed at key corridors and all the doors. Gunner Stahl will find that breaking in and out of this place will not be a blue milk run.

The lieutenant arrived outside of the droid factory perimeter, standing at least about 20 meters from the nearest powered high fence and almost about 50 meters from the nearest guard tower. Concealed in an ebony battle armor, he merged well with the darkness and utilized nearby jungle flora to his advantage. He glanced at the timepiece on his wrist, noting that he only had a few hours to complete this mission before the early AM crew would return back to work. Taking a deep breath inwards, he pulled out a datapad and uploaded an image of the factor and blueprints.

Fingers flipped through the images as he scanned for possible weakpoints that he could exploit; noting that a large security console was located within the ground level of the eastern tower he devised a plan to make his job easier. Chambering rounds in his aggressor series sniper he scooped up his gear and quietly jogged approximately 100 meters through cover of bushes and trees towards the eastern tower. There were too many guards to launch an assault outright and if he were to succeed, he would need to deploy tactfulness. Binoculars gazed at a pair of soldiers out on patrol outside the tower wall; lifting the sniper rifle into his grasp he carefully took aim with the scope and laser sighting.

Moments seemed like hours as time slowed in his wake, waiting for the opportune moment as the guards heads came into a comfortable range of his cross-hairs. The reticle floated above and when it landed precisely on the skull, he pulled the trigger. Within only a split second, he would have to readjust aim, pulling a second trigger as he aligned the reticle on the second guard's head. Hopefully with them slain, he hoisted the sniper over his back and reached into a duffel bag at his side. Pulling out a pair of elongated cutters, metal shaft constructed from heavy durasteel while the blades were serrated and also emitted a counter EMP charge. Kneeling besides the guards, he attempted to rummage through their clothing in search for any security clearance cards or access keys. Activating the counter EMP, a small wave discharged from the serrated tip as it would neutralize the powered fence and allow him to cut a sizable portion for entrance.

Gunner would find an access key on the second dead guard. Of course what the Imperial didn’t know was that every ten minutes there will be a comms check by and the next patrol will come that way in fifteen. He would only have limited before suspicion will be aroused. Meanwhile inside the factory the chief of security named Amo Ongo sat alone in her office desk.

As a Transdosen she was trained to be a fearsome hunter back home but was exiled for family dispute. In the present day she found herself hired guarding a droid factory. It paid well enough but the reptiles was bored half of the time. Rubbing her right hand claws together, Amo glanced toward the holoscreens displaying the vantage points of the facility. Nothing seemed out of the norm, but one can never know.

He watched as the serrated cutters slashed through the powered fence, deploying the negative charge to nullify any outgoing electricity that would flow in his direction. He had to make sure that the hole was large enough so that he could pass without being caught, that charade along burned at least close to 10 minutes. Unknowing the time constraints in regards to the comm link checks, he was moving at a slower pace than expected. Likely fatigued from the journey and the single man mission he was about to undergo, it was natural that he believed himself in safe haven. However, as the radio signal flashed through the dead soldiers' comm links, he frantically looked towards them before yanking out the receiver cords to shut off a response signal.

"Kriff"..he muttered underneath his breath, realizing that he likely had a short window before a patrol was sent to look for the two missing guards. Tucking his hands under their arms, he slowly dragged the carcasses inside the large tower corridor. Finding solace inside a storage closet, he quickly shoved them inside, sweating from his forehead and chest as he was performing his manual labor in a full medium suit of armor. This was hardly a comfortable position for him, but he had no choice. Making sure to stay hidden from possible camera angles, he took the access key from the second guard and slowly ascended the tower wall. Utilizing a grapple line to hoist himself upwards, he slipped into a second floor window and disengaged the wire, allowing it to coil back inside his gauntlet. He would try to avoid any confrontation for now, using the access key on a secured door as he proceeded to make his way to the centralized security console.

Amo narrowed her eyes when patrol three failed to answer her routine call. Suspicion grew time tick by with no further respond. Those frakking bastards know to check in. They would recall what I did to that smartass Leri last week. No this is something else.

Thinking so, Amo made a second call. “All units patrol three is we are now a level 2 alert. I repeat level 2 alert. Patrol four double time on third’s last known location now.”

Receiving a collective acknowledgment, the Transdosen head for her storage container. Unlocking it Amo pulled out a set of mild armor and a shotgun. While didn’t know what’s going on but the lizard woman was readying for trouble.

Gunner was still unaware of the increase in security patrols that Amo had just recently ordered; though he knew that it wouldn't be long before other guards would find that patrol three was not present at all. Blaster carbine in hand, he quickly ascended up the lairs of stairs, using the security key he had stolen off the guard to grant him access into what appeared as a centralized security hub. Slipping inside, his eyes studied the various different security screens including one that was overwatching the Transdosen security head. Chuckling slightly, he reached into the satchel at his side as he grabbed an electronic splicing device and connected it into the ports on the main console LED. Attempting to hack into the system, he delivered a massive system shock, hoping to disable the electronics circuit for a few minutes.

If he was successful, he'd activate the HUD on his helmet into assault mode and prepare his blaster carbine to make his assault. The first would be clearing a wave of security personnel down the corridor from the security room, his path eventually into the main lobby where droids were being manufactured.

Just as Amo finished loading up rounds in her gun when the security systems including the cameras shut. Taken aback briefly, soon she reiceived a call from the patrol four. “Commander we can’t find unit three but we found a hole in the fence.” Clarity and fury filling her soul, the the repitle stormed out of the office, heading for the main lobby.

There was only one to done the system and it was the security room. Growling Amo gave a new set of orders. “Unit six, eight, and two head for the security center and get the power back on. Everyone else head for the main lobby and turn on night vision! We are now at level one alert. Repeat level one.”

Done with issuing commands, Amo entered the central lobby from her office found a switch and turned off the lights in the assembly area. Concealing from the new shadows the commander prepare for her new hunt. Meanwhile unit eight that was turning down the corridor when they ran into Gunner.

Gasping with shock, the two guards opened fire with their rifles, aiming for Gunner’s center mass.

Seems things were about to get more exciting.. armored fingers swapped the small switch on the muzzle of the Disruptor pulse rifle, turning on a bright red laser sighting that beamed from the advanced scope. Motions were quick as he anticipated engagement with enemy combatants in the next corridor; already in the thick of movement while the soldiers likely hesitated for a brief moment for shock, he dashed into a sliding crouch as the enemy blaster bolts flew overhead. Disruptor rifle aimed at their torso in quick retaliation, placing two well aimed bolts at their unprotected torsos. He had selected the pulse wave rifle for a reason, even though the range wasn't as good as a standard blaster, in the proximity that they were encountered, the damage rating would be catastrophic, and likely lead to immediate fatality. He placed his weight on the dominant, front leg as he sprang to the side, concealing most of his body behind another series of walls to avoid any other counter fire.

He knew that others had heard the loud sound of rifle fire and more would be quickly collapsing onto his location. His armored figure ran at mid-sprint, senses on full alert as he continued to navigate through the hallways on his route towards the centralized location that housed the droid assembly.

The duo of guards were dead instantly, their stomachs torn to pieces as they collapsed. Meanwhile four more security person reached the now darkened assembly with night vision goggles, and took positions some distance behind the main doorway. Should Gunnar enter he would be getting a welcoming committee. Another set of four men were advancing at the rear, coming upon the sight of their two dead comrades.

Sickened they updated everyone through the comms about what they discovered before they rushing forward in pursuit of the intruder. The Imperial would be trapped between hostiles waiting in defense up ahead once he opens the doors and others coming up from behind if he slows down.

Gunner continued to sprint hastily through the hallways, turning into corridors in attempt to wean down the heavy resistance that trailed him. He knew that they would try to create an entrapment, the oldest trick at pursuit however would not work so easily against a seasoned and decorated operative as him. Anticipating the ambush, he paused for a few moments leaning against a wall considering his options. Glancing at the blueprint he uploaded from hacking the primary system, he thought that perhaps using force to power his way through the main hallway was not the best solution. Perhaps, there was a better way. He stalked back down the route he came, waiting in anticipating for the four soldiers that were chasing him. As he heard footsteps approach, he hurled a smoke bomb down into their route. The object rattled against the ground with several loud clangs before erupting into a billow of ghastly grey mist.

Gunner sprang into action towards the first soldier, diving to the ground and coming up at his side from a rolling position. Arm swept upwards to lock inside the man's rifled grip, bashing his head with a solid forearm and attempting to grapple him as a body shield. He predicted wild gunfire from various angles, holding the soldier in front to protect himself against incoming blaster bolts. Free hand went to his side-arm pistol, threading through the smoke and returning fire when opponent's came into view.

The pursing guards were taken by suprise from the smoke bomb. As it burst out it’s thick fumes, they began to cough and their vision became clouded. As Gunner predicted wild blaster bolts flew all over the place by panicked men, swearing with horror and it killed one man and wounded. One of them was unlucky enough to caught by the intruder, becoming his meat shield in the process following a brief struggle. The last one standing spotted them but ended shooting his captive friend instead before bending cut down himself.

Back behind the door, the last remaining four security men stayed in position. The shouts and screams of their comrades from inside the door unsettle them to say the least. Through the comms, the hidden Amo ordered.

“Shoot anything that moves out from those doors. I don’t care who it is.”
