Lucian had to admit that he had had his doubts about signing up for this mission but the Order had been asked by the local Republic forces to send some of their Knights down to Corellia to try and pick up a fence who had been identified by Republic intelligence.

But he knew better than to ask questions.

Theirs was not to reason why, theirs was but to do or die.

So here he was with a fellow Jedi Knight, a whippet by the name of An'ru, about to enter a small, underground, casino to try and capture and arrest this fence. The actual brief of the mission was that they didn't much care if the fence died or not since he was mostly dealing in stolen Corellian Defence Force weapons but they were Jedi.

Arresting him was their goal, not ending him.

As they approached the casino, Lucian took note of the security and of the wide array of speeder bikes parked up outside, many with their owners still sat astride them, revving the engines to impress girls.

"I count Four guards that might be a problem outside." he admitted to An'ru as he drew one of his pistols, specifically the one with a stun setting, "I'm ready on your mark. I can take the two on the left if you can handle the two on the right."

An'ru had a bad taste in his mouth from the moment he entered the area that surrounded the bar. Nonetheless, he continued forward. The man they had been sent here to remove was not worth killing, so he brought with him a large club to incapacitate the enemies, keeping it hidden behind his greyish robe that he wore over his armor from the men standing around the outside of the casino, that stank of cigarra smoke and other less desirable odors. He listened closely to the human that he had come here with and nodded solemnly in response. "I close in. You draw fire." He grunted in short response.

He was not much of one for words, what with his own native tongue having just around 6,000 words. He did not care for them, preferring to convey meaning through action. He scanned the front door, where the four men stood, as he closed I on them, moving slowly, and non-threateningly toward them with his Clovoc helmet piece bowed downward, just above his eyes. The club remained obscure, until the right moment, whipping it out from behind him and striking the first guard hard in the ribs, sending him backwards, into the side of the building, but on the wind up for the second one, his opponent flinched and attempted to move. In doing so, he was non-threateningly struck on the arm, though his accomplice lay unconscious against the wall of the casino.

Once again, Darren was standing outside a casino, looking fly. With a smoke clutched in his hand, he took a long drag and looked around, spotting the two men approaching, whispering to one another, and checking his datapad. Bingo! he recalled, there must be the two smucks he had agreed to help out. From what he had gathered, it was to be a simple job, a snatch and grab affair with as little killing as possible - an easy payday if nothing else.

But then he sawthe group approaching, the lead man striking out at on of Darrens smoking buddies, and the rogue stepped back quickly, his hands falling to the butts of his pistols as the third one of his smoking chums fell. With a crack, one of the smokers hit the side of the casino wall, and Darren rew both his pistols, gently saying "Names Reed," he looked at both the men "Darren Reed, you contacted me to help you with this job under the online name -" he paused and sighed, it was an awkward name "...BanthaScratch420?"

He lowered one of his pistols "Soooo, I'm here to help - not need to," with the lowered pistol, he gestured to the crumpled mess of the three others "...well, do that to me."

OOC - Gear as in profile.

Letting his partner take the lead wasn't something Lucian did often but he wasn't above it. He wasn't the kind of guy who absolutely 'had' to be at the front - he just kind of liked it. So while he let his ally go first, he wasn't too far behind. Watching how the action unfolded, Lucian drew his pistol and fired a stunner at the man An'ru had already hit in the arm, using that as a distraction. The combination of the hit to the arm and the stunner to the chest made the man groggy and he fell down hard against the wall - not out cold by any stretch but feeling rather dizzy.

He fired another stunner shot each at the two other remaining thugs but they managed to avoid them, ducking into the casino as the rest of the line to get into the club scattered.

Cursing, Lucian turned to the man who was apparently their contact. He flashed a grin at the other man,

"Lovely to meet you Mr Reed... any chance you know of a side entrance?" He grimaced, "I don't fancy walking in through the front door and getting shot."

An'ru turned to face the others, but they had already locked the door behind them. Expecting at least one of his teammates to follow, he made a bee-line into the alleyway, finding five men filing out the back, none of them appearing to be the man they were looking for. Armed with blasters and blades alike, he threw his club to the side, and drew his secondary blue lightsaber, and ignited the blade in time to successfully defend against a volley of fire from the thugs, deflecting them back at the group, hitting one fatally, and dispersing the other four into cover, giving his comrades time to move up.

Darren was pleasanltly suprises that he was not being shot at by his erstwhile compatriots, and drew his datapad saying "Pleasures mine," he began, taking out a pack of stims and offering one to the polite man as the wolf-like creature darting off "...so, we do have a side entrance," he jerked his head down the opposite alley to which An'ru had dashed, as Darren brought up a map on his pad and showed Lucian Volante "...we go in here and..."

Darren was cut off, as the sound of a lightsaber and gunfire resounded from the direction An'ru had run, and he rolled his eyes "...or we could just shoot our way in?" Darren stowed his datapad as he ran round the corner, drew his two blasters in a smooth motion, and fired four shots at the men, catching one in the torso and send him spinning to the ground, the other shots being used to pin others in cover.

Lucian had to admit that An'ru seemed to be a nice enough guy but he was, by nature, a man of few words. That was alright by him - he had no issues with it at all - but it did mean that he wasn't always sure what the other Jedi had planned. Lucian was happy enough to speak to the Cartel members about how they could enter as An'ru checked out the side entrance. He looked at the map with a nod,

"Alright, I think it would be a good idea to make sure that he cannot escape so we will need to focus on some choke points."

He paused at the sound of blaster fire for only a second before charging off after An'ru - he wasn't about to let his partner in this endeavour down after all. Stepping into the alleyway, Lucian saw that the enemy were behind cover so he used the Force instead of his blaster or lightsaber, using it to start a Force Pull effect that slammed the men into their own cover, one of them snapping his neck from the force of it and the others being dazed, though one was able to get his wits back to return fire with a blaster.

"Well... this is lovely but we can get in via the side door once they're down."
