Captain Vrutecca is a long time Rebellion sympathizer. He is a trader of many different types of cargo. There are not many who would be willing to do business with the rebels due to their current status. It was dangerous, but the Wookiee still makes runs to Ord Pardon with a ship full of supplies ranging from food to weapons...for a small fee of course. However, when the Captain and his crew missed their shipment last week, they were sorely missed by the Rebellion.

Attempts to reach them through comms had gone in vain, until receiving a distress signal. It was was one of the captain's men calling for aid. He stated how raiders had taken down their ship forcing it to crash land on Socorro in the Rym Mountians. He informed how the massive crew fought off the attack, but they were trapped and soon found defeat.

The raiders now have begun from level to level and claiming whatever valuables they can find. In the meantime whatever survivors they come across are being cut down. The surviving crew members need the help of the Rebellion to help get them off of the planet and away from the vile scum that is tearing their ship apart.

Several rebel officers have seen the need to help their allies. Unfortunately resources have been spread thin. A small task force of fifteen has been ordered to get into the ship and save whoever they can.

One of the men assigned was Tex Nejan. The Kel Dor has dealt with criminals like these before, but would prefer to put better use of his efforts fighting the Imperium. Thoughts such as these rattled his mind as he sat in his chamber of the small cruiser headed toward Sorocco. He was armed and ready for the ship would be arriving shortly. Growing sick of the grey walls of his room, the rebel stood up hoping to clear his head.

Upon walking out his long-time friend and mentor passed him in the corridor; a Zabrak in his thirties who had been a soldier in the Alliance alongside Nejan's brother. Both exchanged a short nod of respect. Tex was not one fore small talk and continued to the briefing room. He was not one of the first in the room, but was by no means late. He was never late.

His Zabrak friend, Finec Shun was supposed to lead this little campaign. Where he had just gone, Tex sat thinking about. These thoughts were revealed when the Zabrak came back in his full combat attire assuming his spot in front of a small holoprojector preparing to assess the soldiers.

Harper Cole reported to the briefing room. It was the first mission he'd gone on for a while. His medical expertise had been used for nearly a year as a doctor of sorts on the Rebel Dawn or Ether Hawk. It had been exhausting work and not particularly what he'd signed up for years ago. When he joined the GA he joined the special forces and took training as a medic. While his GA career was short lived, his medical training never stopped. As a result he'd become more a doctor this past year than the military man that he truly was. Needless to say, Cole was glad to be back in the action even if he was just going as a medic. The crew they were going to save had been prey upon by pirates or bandits of some sort and Cole was going to save everyone he could and provide advice. He was still going to be carrying a weapon and hopefully he'd be able to shoot a few bad guys. That was why he joined the GA after, to reclaim the galaxy from the scourge of the universe.

Cole entered the briefing room and was surprised to see that the room was already occupied. It wasn't often that people beat Cole to a meeting. He was always at least fifteen minutes early. He resisted the urge to check his chrono to see if he was late or if everyone else was early and simply smiled and placed his bag on the table and took an empty seat. "Hello everyone, I'm Harper Cole. I'll be acting as the mission's medical adviser and the task force's medic. Where are we in the planning stages?"

The Nautlan, two Twi'leks, and Gungan looked at him curriously. It made Cole pause for a moment. "Look sir, we'll deal you in if you want but the buy in is ten bucks." the Twi'lek said with a stupid look on his face. It was only then that Cole noticed they were playing Sabaac.

"Room 12D?" Cole asked curtly, trying not to portray his embarrassment.

"Next door, man." The Gungan. Cole walked out and entered the room next door. There was a man standing near a holoprojector and there were quite a few men in fatigues.

"Much better." Cole said under his breath and sat next to Kel Dor. "Harper Cole. What's your name?" Cole said as he placed his bag at his feet and settled into his chair.

Zakk did what he always did before a mission. Zakk was tinkering with a new type of explosive he had been developing "cross the red before the blue. unless there's a green." A light started to flicker on the bomb "Holy Rancor..." white dust blew from out his cabin door and shortly fallowed by him coughing. "damn it ,stupid smoke grenade why am I making stealth weapons I'll stick to the max damage stuff from now on." soon realising he would be late for the meeting he wiped his face and started walking down the corridor.

He felt like a giant in the small confines of this ship and it made him feel a little claustrophobic "who makes a ship so damn small." Zakk moved to the front of the door having to bend over slightly in order to enter the room. Lucky the room was rather big and gave him room to streach thats when he noticed two others already here and talking to each other. Zakk sat down in a chair only to realize the chair was a little to small for him "damn normal size people how I hate them." he said as he tried to get himself comfortable in the seat.

As one of the newer members of the Rebellion, Akt'ul was often assigned to some odd missions that usually didn't involve direct conflict with the enemy. The Whiphid didn't really notice this fact and managed to enjoy himself for the most part on the side missions. When he was told about the mission to rescue a crashed ship and its crew from attacking raiders he got excited. A close quarters battle where he got to hunt an enemy, saving the crew and becoming a hero. It sounded perfect to Tul who had still not gotten a lot of combative action within the Rebellion.

Tul was a huge being that took up the entire hallway when he wandered down to the briefing room. Blissfully unaware of the inconvenience he caused others, he pushed along and caused more than one shipmate to fall over or be squished into a durasteel wall. The briefing room appeared in front of him at last, though he was a bit late according to the chronometer above the door.

"Me better sneak in," he said to himself in a whisper, though someone inside might have heard his "quiet voice".

He proceeded to open the door and enter, squeezing through the door and making a lot of loud thudding noises as he found a place to sit. None of the chairs came even close to fitting his body so he plopped down on the floor near the Kel Dor and a couple of humans. Needless to say, many eyes diverted to him and the room was pretty quiet as he came in. A whiphid wasn't a common sight, and Akt'ul was big even for a whiphid.

Hiru looked up from her datapad as others entered the room, she had been here early, real early, she had slept but not very much, since she usually
a early morning work out and decided since she was up and knew about the mission would join up and help out, she was wearing her normal combat attire, and instead of having her ever present sniper rifle, she had her two heavy blaster pistol, and a laser mini gun, the thing barely had any weight to her, and she knew how to use one, from actual experience from using one before, she nodded her head towards the other that entered the room, she has her dark black hair styled into a bun, so she can easily put her helmet one without her long waist length hair getting in the way, her helmet was sitting on the table.

She decided to put down the datapad that had info on the mission, and pay attention since there were people actually arriving now.

Finec, the commanding officer of the mission nodded to the soldiers as they walked in. Rather than a normal pleasantly for Cole, the Zabrak said something not as predictable for a greeting. Cole. I read you used to serve in the Galactic Alliance. One of the few in this group who can say that. Where were you stationed at the end of it? Either way it's a pleasure to have you with us." he started off friendly but became solemn after mentioning the fall of the Alliance.

Busy with meeting a rather experienced and valued soldier, Finec Shun had missed the Mandolorian who strolled into the room after Cole. Once the ex-alliance soldier had left his company, Shun continued prepping his brief which he would be giving momentarily.

Tex had turned to Cole who just started sitting down next to him and introducing himself. The Kel Dor was not know for his personality, but he could tell Harper was just being friendly. Today he was in a good mood and gave a good effort to be social..or at least polite. The masked sentient began "Tex Nejan. I couldn't help but overhear you fought for the Galactic Alliance? My father and brother once were soldiers as well." he said with pride. A pleasant expression hid behind his mask for a short moment.

Shun nodded the the bulky Whipid who was finding a spot to sit. The Twi'leks who came in behind him were joking about his size, most likely loud enough for the poor sentient to hear.

Tex spotted the Mandolorian's helmet. Rage filled up in side of him. Pure hatred was the only emotion the Kel Dor felt for those people. They were the ones who cut down his brother and father at the battle of Alsaken. He resisted with all of his night to not get up and put a blaster bolt in the man's forehead. Instead he clutched his kneecap tightly.

Shun had seen this also while reading the soldier's report. He too hated the Mandolorian people for he was a soldier at the Battle of Alsaken. He was one of the few survivors. His opinions would be kept to himself knowing that the mission took priority over his feelings.

Without any hesitation, the Finec began the briefing pulling up the distress hologram from one of the crew. Letting it sink in for a moment he then pulled up a hologram layout of the ship."Alright men. As you know, it is hard for the Rebellion to come by supplies these days. One of the few willing to do business with us is Captain Vrutecca. The Wookiee and his men missed their shipment this week due to some unforeseen complications. We've come to learn the ship was brought down in the Rym Mountains of Socorro. That's not the worst of it. The raiders who took down the vessel have begun sweeping the cargo ship for valuables and killing anyone they find on board. It has been tasked to us to rescue as much if the crew we can and destroy the ship. We can't risk these scum selling the ship's log to the Imperium risking our operation's exposure. It would mean the end of the Rebellion. There are at least sixty raiders now searching this vessel. I will be splitting teams into two groups. I will be taking one team in through the back of the ship, while a second team lead by Harper Cole will begin the head on assault of the main raider forces. I will allow you all to choose which team suits your assets best since I have not served with most if you. he paused for a short moment before looking to Cole "I know you file says medical officer, but you also have the most combat experience from your days before that. I hope you are up to the challenge. Everyone we will be landing off site shortly. We will have to move out by foot to the hot zone. May the force be with us all."

“Cole. I read you used to serve in the Galactic Alliance. One of the few in this group who can say that. Where were you stationed at the end of it? Either way it's a pleasure to have you with us.” The zabrak said solemnly. Cole was taken aback. He hadn’t expected to be confronted with questions of his past and frankly wasn’t prepared to answer them. The fact was he was stationed on Coruscant. He had been in the senate attempting to evacuate it while the Mandalorians, Sith, and Empire pounded on the doors. Well…blew apart the doors was more accurate. Cole was one of the very, very few from the Temple or Senate that made it out alive.

Cole simply smiled and dodged the question, “We’re all fighting the same war, some of us joined the bandwagon a bit earlier than others. All experience is a gift."

Cole gave him one last smile and worked his way next to the Kel Dor. Hopefully the ‘muzzled’ species wouldn’t talk to him and he could work through his emotions before the mission began. He hadn’t expected to be confronted with his past and what was for him and most of the galaxy the most terrifying moment of his career. Many pointed to Coruscant as a show of bravery, but Cole was there. Everyone was scared. The ones who weren’t scared were the ones wresting control of the planet.

"Tex Nejan. I couldn't help but overhear you fought for the Galactic Alliance? My father and brother once were soldiers as well." Cole exasperated but tried to hide it as a sigh.

“Cole, uh Harper Cole. Yeah, Coruscant.” Cole said wiping his brow. He found himself strangely uncomfortable and hot. “Is that so? Look like it runs in the family.” Cole said in reference to Tex’s family. The next two people to enter the were extraordinarily large. One was a Whipid, a species that Cole had very little experience with and a human who was just….huge. Equally large was the man’s helmet, a Mandalorian helmet. That was going to be a problem.

Cole had heard of the issues between the Mandalorians and the Empire, he’d also heard that the Rebellion had given refuge to some of the Mandalorians who were attempting to escape genocide. It put the Rebels in a tough position, but it was a decision made by the leadership and those under the leadership needed to accept it or find a new army to fight in. Finic started the briefing. He played the distress hologram and then pulled up the ship’s schematics.

"Alright men. I will allow you all to choose which team suits your assets best since I have not served with most if you.” Harper was weighing the options of which team to be a part of and planning a few ideas for the assault. If the vessel still had power they may be able to use the ship’s defenses to ward off the bandits. Harper also wanted to know more about the landing party and what vessels would be taken to the site. But halfway through these thoughts he heard his name in reference to leading the attack group. His eyes snapped up from his thoughts and met Finec’s eyes.

"I know you file says medical officer, but you also have the most combat experience from your days before that. I hope you are up to the challenge. Everyone we will be landing off site shortly. We will have to move out by foot to the hot zone. May the force be with us all." Finec finished his briefing and Cole stood up. He hadn’t led an attack for over a year. The last one had gone well, they’d only lost one member against a massive Imperial ground force. It looked like he would be placed in a similar situation today. The group was small but they’d get the drop on the raiders and the rebels would be better equipped and well informed.

“Alright, you heard the man. If you’re interested in the main ground assault follow me. Bring all your gear. If you don’t have your gear you’d better get it and meet with me in the loading dock in five minutes. Tune your comlinks to frequency 101. There are people dying down there people let’s get moving!” Cole picked up his bag and moved toward the door. The bag contained his M15 MDEWS and a K8 pistol. It also held a large amount of medical supplies and extra ammunition. It was a pain to lug around but he’d been on too many mission where he needed the supplies to not carry it around. Cole was wearing his Hermes Armor. It was a throwback to the GA but he’d yet to find a better suit of combat armor to replace it. The Biorestorative underlay would keep Cole relatively safe if he was hit. The battle buddy would allow him hands-free communication and coordination. Cole donned his helmet and ran through a quick comms check. He made sure Kaite, his medical droid, was patched through and listening to everything. If he needed quick advice she’d be able to give it.

Cole reached the cargo bay quickly and settled in for the rest of the flight. He waited for the rest of his team to arrive and hoped the squad were experienced enough to take on a small company of raiders. Cole sighed and let out any extra anxiety. “Center mass, sixty shots center mass…that’s six…eight….no…sixty divided by thirteen….less than six. Five. Five shots center mass and it’s over.” Cole was pleased with those numbers. They were number they could pull off.

Zakk listened to the plan and smiled "raiders in a barrel oh how I'm going to enjoy this." Reaching into a pocket he pulled out a cigar checking it was there before placing it back in his pocket. They mentioned that the medic would be leading the head on charge and if there's one thing Zakk was good for was head on charges. Picking up his pack and slinging it over his shoulder "Time to earn a pay day the fun way."

He fallowed a little behind his next medical captain towards the loading bay fiddling around with a ring that dangled on a chain around his neck. "I'm sorry baby there not imps but I have to do this." he said in a soft tone to him self before placing the ring back under his armour. He looked at the medic "names Zakk if you need something blowing up or gunned down by my baby Anya." he pointed to the large gun on his back. "I'm your guy."

Zakk settled down in the cargo bay with little hassle double checking he had every thing he needed for a long battle or over stocked for a short blood bath either way he would be helping the rebellion it might not be fighting imps but it's a long war with plenty of time. "let's get ready to play the rebel hero and shoot bandit." he said to him self taking out the cigar in his pocket and placing it in his mouth. "let hope I didn't leave my lighter on the ship I'd hate to land and not have a way to light it."

Akt'ul listened to the briefing, but most of it went over his head. When all was said and done, they announced two teams. One of the men sitting next to him was chosen as a leader for the main frontal assault. The Whiphid stood to follow the group down towards the bay to get ready. He didn't need anything other than his axe and himself. As he came into the bay he saw a number of Rebellion soldiers sitting at the ready for the mission. He turned to the Medic who would be leading the charge.

"Me ready fight!" he told him loudly, sitting on the floor again. "Am strong."

He looked around the bay as everyone scrambled to be ready for the start of the mission. Tul was ready for the head on fight. Vibro-axe activated and his body stretched.

Hiru shrugged and followed the medic she has apparently done a very good job at not being noticed putting on her helmet she hefted up the laser mini gun she'd be using and carrier it over her shoulder with no real problem to where they were going to launch from, she came up next to the big mando and said a small hi that sound digitized from her helmet, you could easily see Hiru was female though the raiders would probably no doubt wonder how a woman was lugging around a big Gatling laser gun, like it weighed nothing. "Hiru Mori, former LT of the galactic alliance, sniper, to at times heavy weapon specialist, depending on the mission. If you need something overly dead, I'm your woman" Hiru said with a small amount of humor.

It seemed the medic was a popular choice, Shun thought as he turned of the hologram. Following the last man out if the room, the Zabrak equipped himself with a cast array of technical supplies for anything that may happen in the massive ship. His face was stern as he met his team by the loading ramp.

Tex, his long time friend of course would join him in the rescue of the crew. Open warfare would've been his prefered choice but someone had to save what was left of the crew. Nejan had more than a couple thermal detonators in his pockets in addition to the excess amount of extra ammo for his blaster rifle. The rebel knelt down by the ramp waiting for final orders from the Zabrak. Also in the rescue half if the team was a human, a Twi'lek, and a Gungan so far. A couple of them were playing cards earlier and seemed less focused on the mission than they should be.

Finec approached the other team leader. "Now Cole, one of the survivors informed me that we will not be able to land at the crash site from the side your assault will take place. Apparently they have set up turrets. So that means they are expecting a rescue such as this. The survivor has taken it upon yourself to be your eyes in the sky. Currently he is in top of the ship. Don't ask me how he managed to get up there. I also just learned that they have employed the help of jawas to help clean out the ship. They aren't armed so tell your team to spare them. We will not be killing innocents today and Cole, here is his frequency. Now remember I need you to hold them off until we have the survivors out safely and the bombs set in the command bridge. Good luck." the Zabrak rested his arm on Harper's shoulder for a moment. With a respectful nod he turned left Cole to his business. He knew it sounded like he was babying the soldier, but it was quite the contrary. More it was the Zabrak's often use of overkill when addressing his fellow soldiers.

On his short walk to his own team, Finec spoke to Mori for the first time. "You sure you would rather be in the assault? I could use you hacking skills aboard the ship. I'm not sure what kind if shape it is in."

Then a voice spoke up over the intercom "We are arriving the landing zone. It is a safe distance from the raiders turrets and this is where ground assault will be deporting. Prepare yourselves." the pilot said coming down on a small spot of flat rock where the ship could land.

Hiru shrugged, "I'n sure, besides let me at the turrets, and well the raiders won't own them anymore" Hish finished with some obvious humor leaking into her digital sounding voice at the end, "besides if you need my help I can probably hoof it over to where you are pretty quickly, and offer my assistance" Hiru said honestly, also add she was lugging around the Gatling laser gun... Yeah, she'd do better in the assault to one degree and help the rescue in other degree, she could run pretty quickly. She was kinda glad that she had loaded her sniper rifle into the drop ship the assault team was going in before hand she'd have to grab it as she left so she could use it when needed, but nothing wrong with that.

(ooc: sorry if I kinda screwed up posting order, but considering where Hiru goes depends on my response so to speak, thought it best to respond. :p. )

The Mandalorian came up and spoke to Cole. "Names Zakk if you need something blowing up or gunned down by my baby Anya. I'm your guy.” Cole gave him a pat on the shoulder and affirmed that he would indeed get some work out of his precious Anya. The Whipid was the next to introduce himself. "Me ready fight! Am strong."

Cole was about to nod him off but realized the Whipid was only carrying a vibro axe. “Do you need a gun? ‘Cus I can lend you my side arm if you need?”

Cole was quite concerned about having an unarmed man on the mission. Never bring a Vibroblade to a Blaster fight. That was rule number one. The next member of the team was a woman who, unlike the Whipid, seemed overly armed. She had a Gatling gun of sorts and was wielding it expertly. "Hiru Mori, former LT of the galactic alliance, sniper, to at times heavy weapon specialist, depending on the mission. If you need something overly dead, I'm your woman"

Cole looked at the crew before him, there were two other members in the squad who were moderately armed. Cole had been worried about numbers and supplies but after meeting the first three members of the squad, a mandalorian, a beast that only carried an axe, and a woman with a Gatling gun, he was much more confident in their success.

Good luck." Cole nodded and appreciated the support on his first command after a while. He stored the survivors frequency in his HUD. Cole grabbed Finec before he moved on.

“Listen, I know you’re going to have a few casualties and injured on that ship. When we get the raiders down we need to get those people medical attention as soon as possible. I’d like to set up trauma rooms in the conference areas to deal with them.” It was something only a medic would think of, a military man would just shove them all on the ship and hope for the best. “We need to keep them separate from the rest of the fleet and in a sterile location.”

“Alright everyone listen up! We have a contact in the area, there are two pieces of information you need to know. First and foremost there are Jawa in the area. They are just helping the raiders scavenge. Most of them will probably flee the area when the fighting starts but let try to keep as many of them out of our cross hairs as possible alright? Secondly the raiders have set up turrets in the area. If they get us pinned down they could very easily flank us and then pick off the boarding team. We must spread out, secure out flanks, and take out those turrets as quickly as possible. Everyone on board?” Cole asked, disseminating the information that had been given to him. The men would be ready. They would be coordinated. They would prevail.

“Do you need a gun? ‘Cus I can lend you my side arm if you need?” the team leader turned to ask Akt'ul as everyone was making their introductions.

The Whiphid considered it for a while and remained silent as he spoke about the plan. Of course, Tul was not listening at all. He knew his plan was to charge forward and break the enemy. A blaster could be helpful. Akt'ul even knew how to use one properly, although not very well.

"Me throw axe if need range," he told the medic after he had given his announcement. "Not good blaster aim."

Akt'ul smiled widely to himself, though a smile from a Whiphid probably looked gruesome and terrifying to anyone unfamiliar with it. Slobber oozed from his large mouth and a funky smell was sure to follow. He held the axe above his head with one hand in a display of strength and readiness. The ship was coming into position and the bay doors slowly began to open, revealing sunlight and the ground moving beneath them. Some members started moving to the edge of the doors and tying down some ropes.

"Me don't like look of that..."

the woman who sat by him introduced her self to him "Hiru Mori, former LT of the galactic alliance, sniper, to at times heavy weapon specialist, depending on the mission. If you need something overly dead, I'm your woman" Zakk smiled and nodded "Zakk Ordo of Clan Ordo ex farmer, back from retirement as a warrior and explosive expert. You need it blowing up and extra crispy I'm the man to call." he said with a grin

Zakk Noticed the Whiphid walk in it would be the second time he ever saw one in combat. Zakk was just happy the large brute was on his side this time. Zakk thought in his head all he would have to do is clear a path for that thing and he inflict serious harm to those raiders but he shook his head and thought that would leave none for him. Zakk turned to the girl and asked "what's a sniper doing with a Gatling laser gun but who am I to question."

Zakk got up and headed to the now opening door were the Whiphid said "Me don't like look of that..." Zakk placed his hand on the big guy shoulder "don't worry once were down on the ground the fun begins." He moved the cigar from one side of his mouth to the other.

Hiru simply reached over and picked up a large sniper rifle from the rack that had been sitting in the drop ship "I always have it within arms reach" she said to answer the mando's question, she slung the rifle over her should next to the gatling laser gun, and waited for the drop ship to eventually stop and let them off.

Stepping out of the way of the landing ramp, Nejan watched as the first team moved up to the drop off. The pilots were lowering the ramp as the ship came down and landed on the flat zone of rock, a short distance away from the crashed ship and the hellish firefight that awaited them. Before the pilots spoke over the intercom once again, Tex nodded his respect to those of the assault team.

The team that he would be a part of were waiting behind the assault team. There were six of them now all gathered armed and ready even if their drop wasn't coming up yet. Tex began counting the assault team. They had seven. One extra man than his own team. He told himself they would probably need him more anyways.

Finec Shun, the rescue team leader had made sure that he had a medic in his own in before giving Cole a command responsibility. Looking over the other team, Shun wished the Whipid were with him. That axe would open a few new doors inside. Shaking his head at the thought, the Zabrak crossed his arms and went over to his old friend. "You feeling good about the mission kid?"

The Kel Dor turned to Shun, "Quick snatch and grab sir. We should be just fine, along with the surviving crew." he said formally. Tex was not one for side conversation. Before Shun could make his response back, the pilots spoke.

We have arrived at the landing zone. Assault team is good to go!" the pilot finished right as the ship touched down.

Cole braced as the vessel touched the ground and sprinted out of the door as soon as the ship settled. They had landed on a large flat rock overlooking the crash scene. Their vessel flying overhead would certainly have attracted the attention of the raiders but the Rebel party was safe from fire atop the plateau. Down fifty feet of sloping rock was an open rock field. The plain was a good two hundred or three hundred meters long. From Cole’s position he could see that the four turrets were placed facing outward from the vessel. The vessel itself had crashed flush against another cliff face parallel to the one the Rebels were now perched on. There was a massive boulder to their left that could be used for flanking cover. Otherwise they were looking at a straight up gun fight. The raiders would be exposed from the Rebel’s position but they had the numbers and fire power on their side. Now that Cole had a better view of the battlefield he set a plan into action.

He was used to planning naval strikes and didn’t typically have to worry about terrain in space, but he’d done some asteroid field battle simulators and figured this couldn’t be much different. The large boulder to their left was at least fifty feet in every direction and jutted out from the cliff face toward the wreck. He wanted to use it as the short end of an L and trap the raiders in their cross fire. “Okay, Ax Man, Zack and Kwan. I want you to go over and secure that boulder! When you’re in position begin focusing your assault on anyone advancing on this position. If the enemy retreats or gets bogged down, try and draw the fire from those turrets. Me, Hiru, Trey, and Tsilo will secure this cliff and focus on taking out the turrets. Alright move out!”

With that Cole charged for the edge of the cliff, dove and began firing from a prone position. The raiders were already on the move across the rock field. He was able to take two down with his first two shots before the turrets began firing on his position. “Hiro Get that Gatling up! Focus on the left first and work to the right!”

Cole’s profile was small against the lip of the cliff and he would be a hard target but if those four turrets coordinated their efforts they could light up the assault team and wipe them out before this even got started.

Akt'ul listened as the Medic gave him instructions on the first moves for the assault. In an awkward waddle of a run, the Whiphid made for the boulder. He would take care of any raiders that tried to climb the less steep hill behind the rock. Even the Whiphid could tell that those with a blaster would be more useful on this first portion. The gap needed to close for him to get much done.

"ME SMASH!" he yelled down as the Raiders started climbing the hill.

At the sound of the mighty yell, a few paused in their steps but decided to keep coming anyways. The ones closest had sprinted up the hill to shoot the Rebels before they reached cover. Two armed with light blaster rifles had reached the boulder at the same time as the big beast. They turned their blasters towards him as they rounded the big pile of rock, but the Whiphid was ready.

The vibroaxe swung at full strength towards the forward man. The Raider wasn't expecting that kind of assault and stood dumbfounded as he was cleaved in half. The second raider fired a frantic shot that grazed the fur on Akt'tul's arm. He laughed deeply as he was entering battle mode, kill mode, the way of the hunt. With a solid kick to the face he knocked the raider down, disarming him.

He motioned for his comrades to take the ones running up the hill because they had ranged weapons. He made sure to stay out of direct range of those charging as he lifted his axe above his head in execution form.

"Raider bad. Last word?"

Zakk grinned as the ship landed. Stepping of Zakk noticed a small bit of the down ship by the side of him on fire. Bending over Zakk lit the Cigar and the fire before standing up write taking a deep smoke of the Cigar he said "Onward you dog to victory." Smoke spilled out of his mouth as he said those words to himself. Pulling out two grenades and pulling the pins before tossing them over by a few raiders feet he kept on grinning "Total slaughter, total slaughter. I won't leave a single man alive. La de da de dai, genocide. la de da de duh, an ocean of blood. Let's begin the killing time."

Swifty Zakk pulled out Anya and started blasting as he watched the Whiphid charging down the hill. "We can't let him claim all the honour now can we?" Zakk started his march down the hill blasting away hitting few or making most of them suppressed behind cover. "Hey Hiru why don't you show me some of that marksmanship skill you were gloating about." he said with a loud chuckle.
