(OOC Note: This thread is to be part of the Sith Rebuilding Arc and only open other other Sith/SBZ)

Theme

Vash Condorro woke from his meditation as he felt a shift in the ship. Most would never notice such a change with the artificial gravity working. But the Sith was reaching through the force to find a lost soul. A seemingly pointless endeavor but one he never the less tried from time to time. It was his way of dealing with the unsuspecting and mysterious loss of his wife.

V would get to his feet and with a wave of his hand, douse all light and candles in the room. At the end of the wave of his hand he would than call a saber hilt into his palm, clutching it at the ready in case the subtle change in direction was something far more. The assassin would than move to the wall and punch in a code to call the bridge of 'The Shield".

A moment later an image of the SBZ naval Captain would appear on the screen. "Why have we changed directions, our presents is needed in Alpheridian" The Sith would say with no lack of irritation. The the officer's credit he did not stumble or shake in fear but spoke promptly. "New order my Lord, 'The Shield of Morriban' has been personally requested to return to Korriban by our new Supreme Leader. I will transfer the holovid" He answered and then ended the transmission. Vash opened the briefing as soon as it hit the screen.

Vash would nearly ignore core message as he zoned in on the one giving it. She was cloaked and in shadow, but the jawline, her nose was in high def holo projection. His blood would run cold as ice, his hands started to shake. Whatever this feeling was it was overtaking him and he didn't like it.

It had only been a few days since Vega had departed from his Mandalorian brethren. It was now time for him to advance and succumb to the dark side, as he believed the force was instructing him to. Now was also the best time for him to join the fight politically as well, for the Sith had appointed a new Supreme Leader.

Vega had been tipped off by old business partners, members of the Sacred Band of Ziost, that Darth Sigrún would be holding a tournament of valor in the coming weeks--the Jux Preidd Tournament. Although untrained traditionally in the Sith's ways, he knew he at least had the strength and skills to prove himself before the brotherhood. He believed it was at this tournament that he could find a mentor willing to take him in, or at least find somewhere he actually belonged.

He was led to a Sith Master's ship enroute to Korriban. Having performed a feat of favors for the Sacred Band of Ziost in the past two years, he was granted passage onto the ship. The young prince solemnly walked around the hangar of the ship, contemplating what the future had in stow for him. He wore the hood of his cloak to conceal his age from anyone who proved questionable, but not on guard for he felt as though he were among allies.

It was late at night and sleep would not come to the self proclaimed Vampire Princess. She tried her best to find slumber, but her mind was too worked up to relax. She could not stop thinking about him. She had recently come into an apprenticeship with the master of The Shield. He was a powerful and cruel Sith, and he showed that during her trainings. Still, she could not get enough.

Clara hated being alone. She hated her room. It was so small and cramped. She thought about sleeping in her own ship, but that meant sleeping on the other side of the ship. Although her room was only down the hall, she hated being so far away from him. His room was large enough share. Technically his bed could fit about four of him if he wished. Oh she wished she could sleep by his side.

As her thoughts trailed her to memories of him she'd sense a disturbance in his aura. She figured he disliked her probing for him like some lost pup put to bed, but that's how she felt. She needed her master. She needed to be with him. She would get up quickly and walk to her closet. Putting on a black night robe that tied in the front she would walk barefoot down the cold metal hall.

Clara stopped at his door and questioned whether or not she should enter. She wasn't summoned after all. Would he be angry? She didn't care. She needed to see him. She'd raise her hand and give two gentle knocks. It was only a pleasantry for someone as powerful as him would know she was coming even before she left her own room.

"Master?" She would ask quietly through the door.

Dramen sat on his bed as he stretched his mind, feeling the force flow through him. He felt every living presence on the ship, both strong and weak. Dramen thought about Drendg, his dreaded Sith master and the man who had ripped his normal life away from him. The thought of Drendg sucking in his last breath passed his mind for a moment, but Dramen made sure to seal it after realizing Drendg could easily find out. The truth was, Drendg was probably expecting his apprentice to strike soon, as was the way of the Sith.

Through all of the life forms he felt, he sensed one singular presence that spiked his curiosity. He could feel them on the ship, possibly somewhere around the hangar. He could feel this person giving off a sense of purpose, and a lust for power. Dramen knew that no matter how strong he became, he would not be able to defeat Drendg. He needed allies, and now was the perfect time to seek out some. Dramen left his room, the door sliding behind him. He made his way to the hangar of the ship, not bothering to put his hood up as he walked passed many different species of Sith. He made his way to the hangar where he found the presence that had interested him. It was a figure with their hood up, making their face hidden. Dramen couldn't tell whether the figure was male or female, but nonetheless continued to walked towards them. He expected this person to start the conversation as he now stood in front of them.

The hangar of the ship was cold, its metal interior brightly lit by fluorescent lighting. All around there was activity: crew members moving cargo around the ship, Brothers, Sisters, & Sith alike mingling together. It wasn't as close a bond as his Mando' brethren, but any bond was more than he'd ever felt in his past—one engulfed in hatred and confusion.

The information he received rumoring the ship's course proved correct; he could slightly feel the ship changing direction from it's assigned Alpheridian to Korriban—his true destination, a goal likely shared by a majority of passengers on this ship. He couldn't remember the last words he said or the last time he spoke. It must had been prior to boarding the ship, hours ago. Although he was used to basking in solitude, he felt it necessary of himself to make acquaintances from this point on. In the past, he'd learned that when it comes to force sensitive individuals—it's not best to underestimate them. Thus, the future mentor that he's seeking could come in any shape or form. That is to say, Vega also believed this ship was not where he'd meet his master, but served only as the carrier to his fate. The tournament was where he truly felt destined to be. Again, he thought back on the epiphanies he spiraled through in the Sith Temple months ago.

His pondering was interrupted when a figure approached him, cloaked but not hooded. Vega was unsure what to expect of the dark haired figure. He scanned the area around him in confusion, wondering if the man mistook him for someone else. Then he gazed into the man's hazel eyes and saw that his attention was fully on him. "He—" Vega tried to speak but a number of things stopped him. For one, he hadn't the deep voice of a man, nor the soprano squeal of a pubescent boy. He concluded he should speak in monotone to better mask his youth; he didn't want to be looked down upon for something as meager as his age. He wondered if he should unhood himself, but figured he would reveal his true features after it was clear the two were on respected terms. Finally, he cleared his throat and engaged the man: "Is there something I could help you with?"

The figure spoke with a monotone, making it harder for Dramen to make out the gender of this person. Luckily they spoke Basic language, making it easier for Dramen to better understand the tone of this person, monotone or not. Other Sith walked back and forth through the hangar of the ship, but Dramen still held his focus on this person in front of them, feeling that they were truly special in a way. Another image of Drendg passed through his mind. In one moment, Dramen could feel himself heating up even though the hangar was cold. Dramen calmed himself for a moment, making sure that he didn't show the figure any internal struggle with himself.

Pushing any worries or concerns out of his mind, Dramen answered the figure: "I sense a fire in you. Anger and a greater purpose, unlike anything I've felt before. Who are you?" In truth, this figure's essence felt similar to his own, which reminded Dramen once again his ultimate goal: To kill Volantis Drendg.

As was the way of the Sith, the apprentice killed the master and took their place, but Dramen wanted more than that. He wanted revenge on Drendg for solely ruining his life, no matter how strong Drendg had truly taught him. Perhaps this figure, could help him reach that goal, and maybe something more? Dramen could see himself training an apprentice, teaching someone the true way of the Sith under his wing. Dramen hoped this encounter would go well, for it could change both of their fates in very drastic ways.

Madness was overtaking him. A mix of confusion and anger that the Sith could hardly control. It had been some seven and a half years since he last touched her, or even looked at her. Harsh words and confusion had been their last conversation and when he woke the next morning she would be gone. Not so much as a goodbye. What made it all more unreal was he had just been meditating on the last moments he'd seen her or held her.

His emotions would boil over. Suddenly the assassin would ignite his saber and began to swing it wildly, cutting apart a desk, wall, and a statue in the corner of his room. When that didn't work he lifted the statue with the force and bashed it into pieces. He was a child lashing out. Something his wife nor his apprentice had ever seen, and would never if he could fight it. As his emotions started to level off withing him his senses would return. His ship was now a buzz of activity and more important to him at the moment, his apprentice had made her way to him.

'Enter my apprentice" He would say calmly though he was anything but.

There was a powerful rage coming from the man and it worried his apprentice horribly. She walked much quicker over to his door as she felt him lashing out and before it became quiet. Should she knock still? Should she see if he was alright?

"Master?" She asked after two gentle knocks upon the door.

'Enter my apprentice"

Hesitantly she pushed the door panel and it would slide open to one side with a hiss. She walked inside and looked at the devastation he'd created in the room. The desk, the wall, what remained of the statue. She would look at him sadly for a second before asking him what the matter was.

"Is something wrong, Sir? Anything I can do to help?"

"Darth Venator has stepped down as Supreme Leader, his successor has requested our return home. The Shield is to be in Korriban space within a day. See that all Sith aboard are made ready. I will not present my self or my ship in any other way but perfection." He replied to Clara. His aura would still feel like a snap hiss to the young woman. The mark he bound her with not only held her loyalty to the Sith but connected them within the force. It was an unexpected side effect of the ritual he had put Clara through but not totally unwanted. The irony at the moment was the sheer fact that he only took on an apprentice because he'd thought he lost the only woman he'd ever loved. Having Clara did not fill that hole but it helped to hide the loneliness he'd felt for so many years. He'd used a spell to ensure that he loss and betrayal he felt from his wife leaving would never happen again. If Clara wanted to leave, it would be by taking the Sith's life herself.

The Sith would say no more to the woman, and waved his hand dismissively. When she finally left for the moment Vash would simply leave the mess and go to shower. He would make himself ready for the meeting to come. He would not give the ghost of a woman the satisfaction of seeing him in the unfocused state he was in. Clara would rally the troops in his stead, and those that refused to listen and assume her to be an extension of his power, would quickly find the icy embrace of the void.

"I sense a fire in you. Anger and a greater purpose," The man replied to him. It reminded him of the voice that whispered to him back in the Sith Temple. There's a fire in you, it beckoned. A fire that you will learn to control. In time, you will harness your hatred and set fire to the melting pot--the cauldron of the Sith. "Harness...my hatred," Vega muttered inaudibly. Ever since that day, he's felt as if his life were in the hands of the force. Living a life without any guidence, his fate he would trust with the Force; a Jedi practice he must've adopted from his older brother many years ago. Then he snapped out of his phantasm and returned his attention to the fellow Sith.

Sensing the Sith's passive behavior, Vega further analyzed his features. He was young, of course not as young as Vega, but not too much older either. A comrade would prove useful in the future; though friendship hadn't exactly crossed his mind. Friendship was a foreign idea to him; friends didn't always help one another, but comrades always had each others' back. Vega unsheathed his voice, but not yet his hood: "What you sense is hatred, for I've no reason to be angry--but many reasons to hate. My name is Vega Naurdor, and it is my purpose that has brought me to this ship."

"What you sense is hatred, for I've no reason to be angry--but many reasons to hate. My name is Vega Naurdor, and it is my purpose that has brought me to this ship." The figure replied in a voice that was no longer trying to hide. They were definitely Male, with a voice that sounded...young? Dramen wasn't so sure, but he had to guess that Vega was born at least in the same decade as him. When it came down to it though, age did not matter. Dramen himself was young as it was, but true age was shown through the force. Dramen was so drawn to Vega because of the power he felt emanating from him, and in a way reminding him of himself. Dramen pondered for a moment what to say next.

"Purpose..." He said quietly, but it was loud enough to hear. Dramen thought about his purpose before speaking again. "Why do you conceal yourself, Vega? There is no need for secrets, you have already proven yourself as an absolute equal to me from what I have sensed. There does not have to be any dominance between us."

Inside his head, Dramen could feel his own former self in him crying out for help again. It was not the voice of Dramen Kyllth, but rather the voice of Umar Lerna. Dramen once again cleared his mind, knowing that no matter what there was no going back to those peaceful times. Dramen couldn't help but wonder, as he had not felt like that ever since Drendg had killed his father and started training him as a Sith. Out of all of the people he had met and all of the death he had seen since then...why was Vega the one that was causing him to have this type of reaction?

"I conceal myself," he reached for his hood and slowly pulled it back, no longer looking the Sith in the eyes. "to evade judging eyes. Often my age speaks enough about myself to a person." His hood was down now, revealing the young man's face. His blond hair was pushed back, and all his facial features were visible in the hangar's lighting: the scar across his right cheek from a past bounty, his green eyes now met back with the Sith. His face was juxtaposed with arrogance & innocence, two things that don't often go side-by-side. "I prefer my skills to speak for me, not my juvenility."

As soon as Vega looked back at Dramen, the same voice called out to him from inside, only much stronger now. Dramen's Jedi father flashed through his mind, and then the image of Drendg killing him came just as quickly. Dramen focused on the young boy's face. He did indeed look quite youthful, and at first glance you could assume that he was in over his head, but Dramen felt that he could already understand him. This boy wanted respect regardless of his age, and he did indeed speak the resounding truth when he talked about how he would rather be judged by his skills than his juvenility. In truth, Vega had an interesting impression on Dramen. With that, Dramen knew where he would take the conversation next. "That is understandable. Truthfully, you seem wise beyond your years. Tell me, Vega, what is your main purpose?" Dramen said in a tone that had no hint of any dominance. He was speaking to Vega as a true equal.

"Purpose," Vega wanted to obtain power. He was hated his entire life solely for being born. He wanted to give the world a reason to hate him, and what better way than through the intimidation of power. And with power and intimidation comes protection; no one would dare try to oppress him as they had in his past. But these were mere hedonistic values, goals--but purposeless. Being a better man only holds intrinsic value, and no great purpose could be purely selfish. "I am unsure. I was born in this world, a bane to my own existence. The dark side of the force has called to me and directed me here, to this ship that is enroute Korriban. I assume it is there I will find my purpose."

He looked at the artifact he found in the Sith Temple, a lightsaber pike belonging to a Sith Knight--which lay against the wall beside him. "My travels bring me to Korriban to enter the rumored tournament. I wish to prove my skills and join the higher ranks of the Sith."

Dramen thought over what Vega had said before opening up as well. "I am going to Korriban for my purpose as well. My teacher, Drendg, is there, and it is my time to finally surpass him." He said, not mentioning teh fact that he also wanted revenge on Drendg for solely ruining his life.

So it was true, Vega did indeed have similar motivations and interests to Dramen. He thought carefully about what he would say next, as the next few words he spoke could prove to be very important for the future. Dramen cleared his throat and said: "I admire you purpose. I also wish to eventually rise in the ranks of the Sith. Tell me, Vega, have you learned to harness that hatred into power?

Vega hadn't ever talked about the act of using the force. His recent years being spend around Mando, the talk of the force was never necessary as no one could relate. The Mando were accepting of his leave of them, understanding that there are things about himself they could never teach him. He was also ignorant in traditional sith culture.

"I can harness my hatred in the heat of battle, but outside I am lost. I cannot perform the regular feats as a scholar apprentice might, but when the force speaks to me in my rage—my body becomes lighter and stronger. I heard a Jedi once say the force can increase ones acrobatic abilities and senses."

Dramen nodded at Vega's response before mentally listing things that Vega possibly could and couldn't do based on what he was saying. Frames then thought that it was time for him to take the penultimate step to surpassing his master. Finally, he decided to ask the young man the fateful question.

"All that you have said is true, but the dark side isn't all about the offensive power you can use. You also need to learn how to hold it in to a certain extent so that you can use defense. As soon as we arrive at Korriban I will put my plan into action against Drendg. Before you enter the tournament, I can train you to use your power more effectively, Vega."

"A pleasant response, though, there are specifics i am searching for in a master. As I want others to judge me by my skills, I in turn judge other's by their's. I don't believe to have gotten your name, but you say you wish to surpass your master in a battle. I have witness many Jedi combat Sith brethren; but I've yet to see two Sith battle to the death. I am intrigued. There are things I wish to do before the tournament starts, and one should be analyzing how true sith battle."

Dramen smiled at the fact that the young man was wise. He did not wish to take advantage of him, but many other Sith would, so it was important to always stay on your toes.

"Very well. If you wish to watch me destroy him, then follow me to my master, Volantis Drendg, when we arrive on Korriban. You need not join in, just enjoy the show. My name is Dramen Kyllth." He said, and with that he outstretched his hand for Vega to shake it. Thoughts when through his head, with one weird feeling and a single sentence popping up primarily: Did I just meet someone that I can actually trust?

"...if you wish to watch me destroy him,"
That sounded thrilling, and in all honesty, Vega hadn't really a distinct destination when the ship would halt. The tournament wouldn't start for some time, and as it goes, Korriban is nothing but ruins in its current state. Only recently did the new Supreme Leader begin ramifications. The only other thing for him to do there was investigate the rumors on the Knights of Sin. "Dramen Kyllth," he spoke eagerly. "I'll accompany your quest."
