Llywellen stood over the shoulder of the pilot, one of the warriors who had come with them on this journey, watching as the planet Sullust began to grow larger on the viewscreen. The planet's atmosphere was too hot to sustain much life on its surface. Here and there, the landscape was marked with volcanos, spewing forth lava and ash. One such volcano seemed to have recently erupted since they fell out of hyperspace.

Llywellen, though hating technology, knew that the Bua was leading them outside their world to spread their words of peace and prosperity for all who were ignoring the duile, the elements of nature. It was for this reason and this reason alone that she condoned the use of space ships and the technology that propelled them through the galaxy.

As the ship began its descent into the atmosphere and the hull grew a bright orange-red, Llywellen, gripped the back of the pilot's seat, rolling her eyes into the back of her head. She could feel them here. As the ship made it's way across the landscape, she opened her eyes and pointed over the pilot's shoulder. "There," came her deep voice, directing him toward the entrance to the lower caverns that ran underneath the great planet in a network of engineering marvels.

Llywellen knew their presence here would probably not go unnoticed. Afterall, the SoroSuub Corporation had been in existence for years producing food packaging, mining tools, blaster weapons and repulsorlift enabled ships and crafts. It was important to the various empires of the galaxy. Yet, the true ruling body was the Sullustan Council.

Sai sat inside the freighter, meditating like he was back in the forest in Naboo. Right about this time of year the leaves would start to be growing back and the wild life would be becoming active again. It was his favorite time of year, not to be mistaken though he loved all the seasons. He just wished he could be there to enjoy it. But Bua's will was something he could not ignore especially after he had grown so close to it.

He awoke from his meditation as they landed. The environment here spoke to him, just like the environment back on Naboo. But this place sung a different tune, it seemed to be at war with itself, the surface was no longer habitable, the volcanoes spewing out their molten lava covering, and re-covering the surface. But nature had many different forms and this was one of them, another form of nature for Sai to embrace.

When they were fully landed in the cavern he got up from his quarters and moved to where Llywellen was. He didn't speak to her, no he didn't like to use words, instead when she felt him there the only greeting he would give her was a bow. His bow was still slung around his back as he walked toward her, his arrows moving inside his quiver. He heard Bua calling to him, telling him to help fix this world.

The Dryw didn't turn around immediately as she cast her eyes down at the arrival of the Awenyddion. He was still adapting to the change of scenery and longed for being back on Naboo, with the familiar. A more drastic planet could hardly have been found so near to their home world.

"Sai," she finally said, raising her head again to see the port official, a mouse-like creature waiting outside the ship to take their credits. "We must leave our companions (the peko-peko) aboard the ship. They will not like being enclosed underground. See to Huorn and explain to him why he must stay behind. You must always remember to commune with your companion and strengthen the bond between the two of you."

Turning her head, she looked him in the eyes, seeking his emotional well-being before his first encounter with individuals off Naboo. There was so much he still needed to learn.

Giving a nod to Llywellen, he turned and headed to see Huorn. He gazed at the surrounding environment of Sullust, so much different from the peaceful setting of Naboo, so much more fierce. It did not give the same peaceful green feeling that he got when speaking to the environment of Naboo.

Walking up to Huorn, he chose not to talk to the animal, but to instead communicate with him through Bua. Huorn was his brother and the closest thing he had to a friend. Reaching out to him he spoke to him through Bua, "Huorn, I am sorry but I will not be able to take you with me on my journey through this new environment. Llywellen said you would not like it in these caves brother, so I will leave you here to find peace with this environment, just like I intend to do." Staring into the animal's longing eyes, he knew Huorn understood.

Slowly walking away from his friend he started to talk to the environment and it spoke back. "Sai, it is good you intend to listen to us and learn from us. But being who you are you must learn to meet and accept every new place you visit. Starting with this one, you must understand that though it may seem we are at war. We are just participating in another form of peace, the whole process we are going through is just another pattern of nature. Just like the different pattern your home of Naboo must go through." it said to him through Bua, and then responding to it through Bua he said, "I will try to understand, and Bua and my love of nature will be my guide."

Then as he started pondering what the environment had said to him, he saw Llywellen, once again. He nodded to her to say his task was complete and that he was ready to start the mission that came from the will of Bua itself.

OOC: Speaking to the environment? Our ways of understanding the Bua is similar to that of the Force for the Jedi and Sith, dear. It is from the animals, plants and creatures you touch that you might gain an insight in the environment and inbalance.

The Dryw's gaze was somber as her peko-peko, Mileia sat upon her extended arm giving off a sorrowful cry as Llywellen's hand stroked her great black breast. Giving one more cry, she looked the warrior responsible for the Dryw on this mission in the eye, a menacing glare that caused the warrior to bow his head in submission and salute the companion, understanding his duty to protect the Dryw and her Awenyddion all costs.

Llywellen said a single word to her companion, and the great peko-peko rose into the air and made her way back to the Dryw's room. Casting a glance to both Sai and her warrior, she clasped her staff and lead them out of the ship, into the damp, warm air of the cavern.

As the trio stepped out of the ship, seeming almost regal in their demeanor, they caught the eyes of a few dock workers. The Dryw was dressed like that of an Ambassador (yet one who carried a...walking stick?), followed by what seemed to be a guard and a....Jedi? (Such was their dress afterall). Llywellen could sense their wonder at their arrival and decided to play upon it, allowing the Bua to guide them.

The short Sullustan stared for just a few moments before turning his attention back to ordering the dock workers around. This pod had been originally reserved for the Republic's freighter. Still, how could he refuse an ambassador the right to land in this pod? Messed up....things were messed up now. Things to do...all because of some diplomat. Word was sent to the Council via a holo message advising the diplomat was here, resulting in a myriad of strange expressions on behalf of the Council's aides.

Llywellen could sense the confusion coming from the port authority officer as she approached him. "How do we reach the Council?" came her simple question as her eyes studied the workers around them, seeking with the Bua to see if any were chosen.

The Sullustan raised his large head and big black eyes to regard the woman. "The Council is sending a party to greet you. We were unprepared for a greeting from...from...."

"Naboo," the Dryw answered for him, raising even more suspicions about these strangers. "The...queen was unable to send her usual convoy due to problems. We came in her stead," she explained further, seeking to alleviate his fears.

OOC: Sorry, um when I said environment, I meant like the accumulation of all the living organisms talking in unison, but is just easier to say environment

Sai, walked off the ship after departing from his best friend and walked into the cavern. He felt the damp, cool air on his hands and face. It reminded him of the swamps in Naboo. And his thoughts of the swamp drifted into thoughts of the Naboo forests.

How he longed for them, the trees, leaves, grass, the sun, he could go on forever he thought. But this damp cavern was the only place he could be in now. It was dimly light also, he had to strain his eyes to make out the Sullustian. But his eyes soon grew accustom to his new surroundings and he could clearly make out the man now.

He pondered the words of the environment once more. The whole concept of a pattern, a cycle, a way of life. Even the forest he knew back home had one. But the environment here had a different pattern then the forest. A different version of the four seasons, a different version of life. The constant overlapping, and making new grounds was just another way of building. The ash covered grass a symbol of life among all the construction.

He saw Llywellen deal with their way of seeing the Council. Apparently they were taken as ambassadors who would meet with the council. He did not favor lying because it was not the natural way. But he would play along anyway and atone for his wrongs later. He still did not say a word and just remained close Llywellen as they waited for the council's greeting party, and as they were waiting he gave her a nod to show he trusted what she was doing.

She sensed her Awenyddion's recoil from her actions and turned her pale eyes toward him briefly before turning her gaze back to the ship, not wanting the Sullustan to become more suspicious.

:I know you disapprove, yet we must sometimes lie to do the will of the Bua. You will learn in time. Yet, by not correcting their misconceptions we are not lying, but taking advantage of the hand we've been offered. The Bua has given us this gift. We should use it while the time is right. The Council will no doubt check with the queen of Naboo so our time here is limited. Keep your eyes sharp and your focus.:

Hearing the footsteps behind her, she turned her head and saw a Sullustan with strange clothing, much different from the port officer. Assuming he was one from the Council, she bowed her head slightly to him and smiled, invitingly.

"It is good to finally meet one of the Council," she told him.

The Sullustan's skin changed shades a little at the greeting as the aide felt embarassed by such a greeting. "Yulithrei, our President, sends his condolences for not being able to greet you personally. The Council is currently attending to many matters. He asks that I give you a tour in the meantime."

The Dryw straightened her back at this suggestion, eyes growing a little bit colder at being put off, yet soon began to melt back into their warming light. They were checking references a little more quickly. It seemed as if they were going to have to make other arrangements.

:Perhaps it is better this way. Sai, keep your mind alert to those around you. We shall see how deep the corruption runs in these walls. Yet, our true goal and purpose remains with the President.:

"I understand. Do you know how long it might take? We have several places we must visit on behalf of the people of Naboo. Our council would be most displeased if we were unable to meet our other obligations."

The Sullustan's gaze seemed to be sympathetic as his great eyelids blinked a couple of times. "The Council will do their best to meet with you as soon as possible," the aid answered. "Please, follow me."

As the representative moved toward the Duile group. Sai heard Lylwellen's voice in his head. Explaining to him why what they were doing was not wrong, but in fact just another part of Bua's will. He pondered the thought, Bua might have given them the advantage, but using it to lie would be wrong. But maybe that was what Bua wanted them to do with their hand and allowed it. It became clear to Sai, as clear as the lakes in the forests of Naboo. And speaking to Llywellen through Bua, "I understand, by taking what Bua gives us, it is not a lie, but an extension of Bua's will"

Then he heard the environment through Bua again, "Sai, it is good that you now understand and except us. And before you are introduced to these people, we must tell you about them so as you won't appear startled. They are corrupt it is true, but only because they are blind, they have not been given the right path. It is up to you Duile to set them straight." and responding in the same fashion, "I will do Bua's bidding, and I must thank you for your help, my new ally"

As they started to walk on their tour, he again heard Llywellen's words in his head. Giving a discreet nod, he started his glance at the surrounding people at in this culture. He saw covert drug deals going on everywhere, he saw policemen taking brides, it stunned him, but for the sake of keeping to their appearance he did not show it. It was nothing like back home in the Duile village or like being among the trees in the forest. Nature did not lie or steal, it did not harm anybody that is one of the reasons he liked it so much.

Then speaking to Llywellen through Bua, the first time he initiated the conversation, "Master, I see the corruption strewn throughout their culture, but I do not think it is their fault. They have not been shown the correct path, they have been blinded, this is what the environment told me." He saw a man draw close to the as if he wanted to hurt them, and Sai tensed. He got ready to take his bow off his back and string it as soon as possible. But the man passed, just walking by as if he had someone better to kill.

Llywellen's disgust increased the further they wound in the maze of tunnels underneath the planet's surface. No nook or cranny had been spared. Where stalagmites and stalagtites once would have been, the tunnels were filled with cobbled roads, tall shops carved into the walls themselves. As the tourists and Sullustans milled about the streets, doing their shopping, rushing along on their errands, she felt a tightness in her chest.

Placing her hand to her chest, feeling the aching of the planet to fill these caves with it's own life, she found each breath coming a little more difficult. Ignoring the aide as he continued to talk about how the sweepers cleaned the air and recirculated it throughout all of the kilometers upon kilometers of tunneling, she had to stop and find her focus again, tame her rage at their need for...technology. Finding a piece of stone that had been carved and turned into a bench, she made her way to it, sitting upon it and caressing the smooth stone with a delicate hand. The outer portion of the planet was the only part that had turned over to be completely reigned by Duile. Noxious fumes from the SoroSuub Corporation plants were vented to the surface, polluting the nature there.

What vacationers believed the tunnels to be a modern marvel, a design constructed by new engineering techniques to ride the quakes of the crust and the eruptions from above, she saw as atrocious. No, there were two parties responsible for the pain this planet was feeling. It was both the Corporation and the Council for allowing the Corporation to do such deeds. Yet, as the aide continued to explain, the Corporation provided jobs and brought in goods for the people below. They could not now survive without their business, so dependent they were upon them.

:No, as the Bua has said, these citizens are not responsible for the corruption that lines these halls. With technology comes the lust for more power, more goods, things they don't need. With industry comes the interests of outsiders, spreading their corruption even further. Two parties are accountable, but one more than the other.:

"Are you alright?" the Sullustan asked, moving closer to the Dryw and about to place a hand on her shoulder.

Yet, the warrior stepped forward, blocking him from touching the Dryw, giving him a menacing gaze. "No one must touch the chosen but the chosen ones," he told the alien.

Tears fell from the Dryw's eyes as she could no longer hold back the emotion. "I weep for you, for all of you Sullustans. Such hard lives you live here..." she said, her words trailing off as she dabbed her eyes, regaining her composure.

"Hard lives? We have grown used to these tunnels and they are our homes now. The Corporation takes good care...."

"The Corporation takes advantage of it's people," she stated flatly, turning her gaze up to the Sullustan, a fire returning to the depths of her pale eyes. "They take advantage of you all as well as this planet. They have pushed her beyond her capacity. She cannot hold anymore, any longer. Can you not see the strain upon her?" she asked, not expecting an answer. Yet, she knew he could not answer her, he was not of the chosen. "No, you do not. It is the fault of your leaders."

Standing up with conviction in her voice, she grasped the Sullustan by the shoulder with her one free hand and stared him in his eyes. "We've come to begin the process to free you."

The large black eyes blinked a couple of times, uncertain what was happening as the people about them milled about unaware of what was happening near to them. Yet, before the aide could alert the guards, he felt an invisible hand close about his airway, cutting off the air supply. Darkness began to come upon him as the Dryw felt him slip into unconsciousness, only then releasing him. The warrior reached out to catch the Sullustan and ease him into a sitting position as the warrior quickly searched his pockets, finding a pass card and a datapad.

"I can sense him close," she uttered as she felt the strong presence of the one in whom she had originally come for, the President of the Council, Yulithrei.

As Sai saw his master sit down he shared in her pain, but surprisingly not in her anger. The environment showed it was slowly rebuilding itself, it had once had the ability to sustain life, but now it didn't. And it was because of the corruption, the corruption of the rulers not the people. They were polluting the world and the environment could not stop them. That was why they were hear though, to fix the evil ways of the ruling bodies here. These people would learn to live above ground and not be dependent on this corporation once more.

Then hearing Llywellen's words inside his mind, he responded to her through Bua, "I know my master, and I fell the same pain you are in right now. but their is hope. That is why we are here, if we can stop this pollution, then the surface will become habitable once more, in time." Seeing that the Sullustian moved to touch her, the warrior moved in to stop him. it was a bad move on the alien's part, he might have been ignorant, but still a bad move none the less.

And then the alien was knocked out, and the warrior rummaged through his pockets retrieving any thing useful. It was sad, the aide was so committed to the corruption that even when shown the light he turned it down. The planet needed help and needed it now. And as it was Bua's will they were the ones to end the corruption. Once they stopped the pollution the planet would reverse the damage done by itself.

He would find the president and the councilmen responsible for the pollution of the planet. The Duile would free these citizens from their reign and once again be able to be dependent and live on the surface. But all in good time, Bua would lead them to where they needed to go. Then speaking to Llywellen through Bua because he did not like actual talking, "Be calm Master, we will correct their evil ways, and ease this planet's suffering. But when we go to meet the council and the president, should we try to persuade them or just kill them?"

She looked at the datapad and pass card in the warrior's hands and shivered with revulsion at what they must now do. Her eyes turned to young Sai and a smile rose upon her lips.

"Can you not feel it, Sai?" she asked him aloud, yet in a soft voice. "The President is one of the chosen. He can learn our ways and make the rest of the Council see reason. He can shut down the corporation. He is our goal."

Turning her gaze back down upon the unconscious, but still alive aide, her smile seemed to radiate her joy. "Their aide has given us all we need to reach him now."

Turning her gaze up to him and then looking around them, she saw they had drawn attention, as would three persons standing around an unconscious person.

"We must hurry before he is alerted. Reach through the Bua and feel him. The Bua is always your guide," she told him, turning to the warrior who lead their way, commanding the people out of the way as they passed. The guards would be coming soon.

As people scurried out of their way and began to mumble behind their backs, the trio hurried down the hallways, guided only by the Bua toward their target, the one whom she had felt since their arrival. He was not the only one, yet his commanding presence was a result of his affinity for the Bua, a very strong connection at that.

As they turned down the tunnel, four Sullustan guards rushed down the tunnel before them, halting them in their tracks.

"Hold it right there," the one who was more decorated yelled in his native chattering tongue, intelligible by the Children of Duile, though they were unable to speak it. "Put your weapons down..."

The Dryw's head turned to her Awenyddion indicating it was time as she pulled up her free hand indicating she had given up. As the guards approached, attempting to arrest them, she touched both the minds of Sai and the warrior signaling "now" as she whipped her staff up and smacked it hard against the head of one of the soldiers. The loud crack the solid staff made against the head of the guard resonated in the tunnel as another guard rushed upon Sai, attempting to halt him before he pulled his own bow and arrows. The other two brandished their blasters, aiming at the trio at first, but changing it as the soldier charged forward, spear brandished overhead and then thrown at the head of the first guard.

As Sai heard Llywellen's words he did not know what to think. This new development was unexpected to say the least. If the president was a chosen one then he was ether blind to it or using it in the wrong way. The gift all chosen ones were given should not be taken lightly and if used wrong it was a terrible waster. But Bua acted in strange ways sometimes, and if it gave a gift to a person there was always a right way to use it. Then reaching out through Bua he tried to feel the president. For a little he felt nothing, but then he felt something obviously not as strong as his master had felt it, but still it was there. Speaking to her through Bua, again prefering not to use his voice he said, "I feel him there master, not as strong as you may, but still I can feel his presence."

As he followed her, through the tunnels he could feel that the populace was slowly turning against them. Their actions against the council's aide did not go over well, but it was still a necessary action. most of them would even be telling guards about them by now, but it was no matter, Bua would guide them through it. "Sai, they are turning against you, the populace, the corruption in them, they need help. Even now guards are coming after you and your fellow Duile. Be prepared to defend yourself." the environment said to him through Bua, and responding to it Sai said, "I see, and I will prepare to defend myself, but battle will only be commenced when my master says."

As they continued to wander the tunnels toward their goal, they were stopped by guards who demanded their surrender. And with that Llywellen looked like she had enough, motioning to him to engage them she clubbed the closest one in the head with her staff. One of the guards rushed him trying to attack him before he drew his bow, but Sai was one step ahead of him. Pulling an arrow out of his quiver he stabbed the man in the thigh. Then drawing his bow he strung it and shot another arrow at one of the sullustians with a blaster, hitting him right in the hand with the blaster. Then turning to the one he stabbed in the thigh, he hit a few of his pressure points to knock him unconscious for Sai had learned from nature that it was wrong to end a life pre-maturely.

The warrior twirled his spear with a speed as the staff blocked one, two, three bolts from the Sullustan guards. Those sensitive to the Force could feel it reverberating around the warrior's spear, protecting the weapon's shaft from burning through and breaking. Yet before the closest guard could send his next shot toward the warrior, he had already leapt toward him, slamming the spear through his midsection, the armor failing to protect him from such a powered thrust. The second guard, hit with the arrow to his hand, cried out in pain as the blaster fell from his grip. Grasping it with his one good hand, he began to back away and ripped out of the wounded hand. Bending down to pick up his blaster with his only good hand left, he realized he was the only one still standing. Firing out of fear and desperation he shots went wild, yet one found their mark, burning a hole through the leather armor of the warrior's chestpiece. His furious cry of rage filled the air, almost causing the poor Sullustan to flee before them. Yet, like a nexu, the Dryw was upon him, swinging her staff with a mighty blow and smacking him too hard on the head, blood trickling out of his nose. Unconscious, he fell to the ground hard.

Vicious pale blue eyes turned to the Awenyddion and the warrior. "We must hurry. He's been alerted!" she cried as the terrorized screams continued to fill the tunnel and all began to push each other in an attempt to get away from these mad people. Turning away from them, her eye on the prize, she took off at a dead run down the tunnel, the Bua leading her, as she made her way through the maze. Pausing only for a moment and nothing more, she closed her eyes, getting her bearings and would again take off through the tunnel, leading them to a great structure where officials seemed to be pouring out of the complex and into waiting speeders.

Seeing the rest of the action un-furling before him, he saw the rest of the guards either fall or try to retreat then fall. Then seeing that they were on the move again he ran after Llywellen, apparently the presiedent had been alerted to their presence. Running through the halls letting Bua guide him, he pushed past all the terrified Sullustians, saying the proper apologies when needed. He kept his bow in hand encase they were attacked again.

But then as they came out of the endless maze of tunnels, he saw a huge building rise in view. Even if Sai hadn't been notified to where they were going he still would know what this place was. Corruption radiated out of it, he could feel it seething out of the walls. The environment even told him this was a place of great evil. All of the workers there seemed to be trying to escape. He saw the presiedent jump into a landspeeder, and fired an arrow at each of the driver's arms so that he could not escape. The reaching out to the presiedent through Bua, he felt that person was a decoy. He turned to tell Llywellen that, but before he could open his mouth, some guards were already apon them. Pressing his hand against the rose in his robe, he prayed for help from Bua. Then drawing an arrow he began to fire arrows at the charging Sullustians' arms and legs.

The Dryw's eyes had not been upon the diversion. Through the Bua, she had a firm fix on his exact location. He would not get away. As the guards began to surround them, she closed her eyes, reaching her mind out to her companion, ushering her to come to their aide.

The great peko-peko heard the cry of the Dryw and began to fly around the ship in a frenzied state, alerting the other housed peko-pekos to the danger the Dryw and the Awenyddion were in. Those still aboard the ship quickly lowered the ramp, releasing the great flying creatures in the tunnels as they flew toward the three Children of Duile.

Opening her eyes, knowing her companion was on it's way along with the warriors they could muster, she twirled her great staff as if it were a mere stick. She was a sight to behold as she twirled the staff toward the coming guard, smacking his hands hard, releasing his hold on his weapon before bringing it back toward his legs, knocking them out from under him. He groaned and rolled around the floor as she had already moved away from him and began to attack the next guard upon her. The warrior too swung into immediate action, picking the guards off of the Awenyddion and the Dryw as was possible, allowing the young man to keep his range for his weapon. It was good to finally be using the training he had perfected all of his years on Naboo.

He felt huorn fly toward him as they were surrounded by Sullustian guards. It was like target practice with the warrior giving him the necessary range. He continued to step backward until his back was to the wall of the cave. Grabbing an arrow from his quiver, he strung it in his bow until he not pull back any more. Sending the arrow flying into the air straight into the shoulder of a guard knocking him to the ground.

He could feel huorn getting close and reached out to him through Bua, "Please hurry brother, I fear these guards will keep us until the president escapes." It was only a matter of moments until Sai could hear the beating wings of his brother.

Pressing against the rose in his robes for good luck he let loose another arrow at the kneecap of a Sullustian, his aim was not to kill them but to cripple. He saw the warrior almost become overwellemed, with two Sullustians trying to hold him down. The sight almost filled him with anger but he suppressed it, making a physical motion of pushing it down. Then he shot one of the guards holding the man in the calf and saw the arrow go straight through it. Then the warrior threw off the other man, with a yell. All the while the pecko-peckos were growing closer

Anger was not supressed something meant to supress in the society for it often helps fuel attacks, yet when concentration is needed to face a foe, it is frowned upon. Llywellen, needing the anger to strengthen her resolve gave in, feeling the adrenaline kick up in her bloodstream as she charged forward into two guards.

Just then the sound of wings filled the air as terrified screams filled the tunnels along with the cries of the peko-peko's. Diving upon the guards, they brought chaos and sent several guards to the ground, panicked, making a pathway for the Dryw and the Awenyddion.

Llywellen encouraged her companion as she took off toward where the lifesign of the President was eminating. If they hurried now, they could find him and put a stop to this once and for all. Jumping over prostrate bodies, she led the way toward the President, her peko-peko on her heels, driving away any that might threaten her.

Seeing huorn dive down onto the guards he saw the terror in their faces, but he also saw respect. Respect for the people who had gone such a great distance to complete their mission. Huorn continued to fly in the air ocasionaly diving down to protect Sai.

Sai, runing after Llywellen saw that her pecko-pecko was also helping her. Quicking his pace, time seem to melt away and he sped up reaching were Llywellen was. Then it time caught up to him and Sai wondered what had just happened to him, was it a power from Bua, it must be he thought.

Runing toward the building he jumped over bodies laying flat on the ground and speeders that had been abandoned out of fear. But still Sai found no sign of the president outside, but still inside the building waiting for something. Possibly them, sai was going to find this man turn him to the light, no matter what it took.
