It was funny sometimes, people move through life encountering those that make a difference versus those that seemingly were just acquaintances. Looking back though, you always wondered what happened to those souls, that impacted your life just enough that you remember them but not enough that you would call them your friends. By this time, much like the galaxy, Darth Victress had heard of news on Atlas, the abdication of the throne by Aadya Drast, as well as the death of those involved on Atlas.

She had worked with Darth Valvarus when the former was a young acolyte and her a Dark Councilor; it was the strange ambiance of the Sith Empire, many perished, only a few remained to pave the road to victory. Hask Jen's demise had also traveled, bringing
Darth Victress a few memories of the young Sith who had fought with her Crusader Sabrina in the past as well as when he asked for her permission to depart the Empire.

It was all in the past...

The young woman that began her journey as an acolyte working with Darth Vrael, now had rose to the position of Dark Lord of the Sith. The most powerful and revered Sith in the galaxy; the Temple was dark, gloomy, and filled with the Sorceress' tantalizing aura. Lights dimmed and the wails of tortured souls resonated through cobblestone halls, filled with a plunging cold that pinched flesh.
Darth Victress sat on the throne, channeling her sinister powers while also in thought. But, it appeared something had disturbed her concentration..a familiar presence...

Golden eyes shifted to the side, peering through the visage of Black Hades as they glanced on the silhouette emerging from the shadows....

"I see you have returned..." The dark lord spoke...

Arial had promised herself she would never return to this place, that the Sith would have no place in her life ever again. And yet, here she was. Hask was dead, and only one other person could have known she was still alive; Darth Victress. Arial had only known her as Arianna Marris during her time of service, but clearly some time had passed. To say Arial was in a good frame of mind was a flat out lie. She knew Hask wouldn't have approved of this, but she had no other choice right now. She wanted someone to go after for what was done to her friend. Arial would come into the chambers, fury still lingering in her footsteps, as well as the hurt. She had no weapons on her, knowing that firstly, it'd do no good, and secondly, no guard was dumb enough to let her by with such things. So here she was, clad in her working attire, visiting with the soon to be Lady of the Sith.

"I see you've stayed the same, Victress." Arial spoke, coming to a stop about ten feet away from the Darth. "I should have known you'd keep tabs on me. I told Hask he-" She stopped herself, looking down to the ground as to banish the thought, before going back into it. "I just didn't expect you to be the one standing on top of the heap. But, when everyone else ended up dead, I guess that worked out in your favor." Arial wasn't exactly in the mood for this sort of thing. Yes, she had done work for Victress before, she kept the woman safe during a funeral argument, and there was also that time on Aldarann as well. Arial had done her fair share of work, but the only thing she could think this was about was either a job, or Victress wanted her for some twisted desire. Arial crossed her arms, waiting for whatever the woman needed to say.

Darth Victress watched carefully as the former Imperial agent moved closer to her, taking caution to keep some distance between the two. It was amusing almost, the gesture raising a slight brow for the dark lord as she inquired, "Why do you fear the very sight of me Arial? There is no need for this visit to be unpleasant, I've always rather enjoyed your company.." she spoke, her robotic and cold voice escaping from behind the duraplast helm. It brought back some memories, a reflection on times and an era when things were different tho albeit more difficult. The Empire was in decay, tarnished by unfit ruler after an another, though the short lived reign of Varyn Rask was promising but unfortunately, those mindbreakers had different ideas.

Arial had been gone for years now, living a free life as she chose away from the Empire and its troubles. Though, deep down, the both of them knew why she was here.
Darth Victress chuckled darkly as the former agent finished speaking, "Ahh yes, the heart that never thaws, it is strange but almost saddening to a certain degree. After all, everyone else we've known has perished in this war.." The dark lord spoke, continuing, "I am aware of Hask's demise, it is a shame, I always wondered about the life he lived once he left from the Empire.." She rose to her full height, Darth Victress taking soft steps down the throne as now she stood only feet away from Arial. "You were a hard one to find at times, but I am glad that you've kept yourself well..." She said, as she walked past her. Darth Victress pacing slowly in the center of the lobby, "Regale me with your tales, Arial. I'm curious, was your new life so much better than your old?"

Arial wasn't scared of Victress, how could you fear someone that you know after all? Just to show this, Arial closed the distance, willing to get within an arms reach of the woman if allowed. "I'm not in best mood for this, nor am I scared of you, Arianna, let's make that clear." She wasn't in the mood for this crap. She didn't care if this was just rewarded with being choked out, she just wanted to know what the woman wanted. This mind game crap might of worked when she was in the Empire, but now? This was kiddy shit. And she was half past done with it.

She didn't appreciate the reminder that all of her friends were dead. Hell, she had almost been willing to serve the woman in question before she jumped ship. Almost. The reminder that they were the last ones left didn't help either. "I'm well aware that we're standing in a grave yard right now." She stated, irritation still evident in her voice. Though mentioning of Hask made the former agent wince, as she looked to her bandaged hand. She still hadn't come to terms with that, she wasn't sure if she ever would. The two women were close now, no longer standing so far apart. Victress had started to pace now, clearly she was playing at something, and when she asked if Arial was happy with her line of work the agent knew where this was going. "I do okay for myself. But I doubt that's why you called me here." Arial stated, feeling fairly certain about the true reason she was brought here. "You want me to serve as you again, don't you? Is that what this is about?" She asked, feeling like she wasn't wrong about this accusation. "The empire is running scared, and you need me to help you because there is no one else to ask, right?" Arial asked, folding her arms across her chest. "Why me? Why now?" She wanted to know. She cut that leash with Hask months ago. She was fine with losing that career and prestige she had wanted so badly. Soran had shown her that she didn't need it, that she could live a life without such things. And yet....something inside her still yearned for it. That control, that power...it could be hers again.
