(OOC: sorry for the slight wait guys, I tried to think of something more interesting but it wouldn't quite come lmao)
The Holy City, Jedha
Temple of the Whills

@Drop Shock @Soth Nuevole

Jedha City. What a grand place. A mosaic of modernity and antiquity, rationality and spirituality, Jedi and the people they protected, all living in harmony.

Even outside the ornate temple, he felt at home. The streets were filled with throngs of people, hundreds, thousands of Force Signatures pressing against his body and mind...uncomfortable for most, but for Nak it provided a sort of safety and calm. It would be a different story perhaps if he were not in a place like this that was utterly saturated with the Light Side and sentient decency; here, however, it seemed as though what was happening in the rest of the galaxy was inconsequential. The true Jedi vision frozen on a single planet.

At the moment he was quietly sitting in the antechamber of the Temple along with a group of others, allowing the sound emanating from his headphones to carry him into the warming miasma of Light Side energy that permeated this holy land.

Truth be told, however, it wasn't something he could endure for much longer...he was itching to do something, to explore the bustling metropolis just outside the temple doors. But for the moment he tried to push such rash thoughts aside. Here, there was no emotion, only peace. Peace, and the Force.

And maybe a squid enchilada if he found the right street vendor to eat at.

Soth sat awoke early that morning which was not unusual. He was alwasy a light sleeper. Rising from his bunk, the Jedi adorned his ornate armor that he alwasy wore. It was slim fitting, not very bulky. Soth then adorned his sandy brown cloak. He keyed the lock to his room and the door slid open. He exited his room and made his way to the library. The Jedi Knight spent many hours in study, learning of the ancient ways, studying and trying to learn from the past. If one does not know of the past, he is doomed to repeat it.

As Soth Nuevole sat in a lush chair, he felt a ripple in the force, one he had not felt before. He could feel the presence of many who occupied this temple, but one was different somehow. Curiosity got the best of the Jedi as he rose from his seat to put his book back in the place he had found it. Soth exited the library and followed his feelings and senses, making his way towards the presence of the one he was after.

Coming to one of the chambers of the temple, Soth could feel the lightside of the Force surround him, envelope him. He once again put in the key code to the door and the large ornate door slid upwards, he could see the many Jedi that walked about the room, involved in their own tasks at hand, but there was one in particular that he was interested in. It was the Jedi who resided in the middle of the room. This being was young. His green and tentacle hair gave away his Nautolan heritage, his species were unmistakeable. Soth walked slowly and quietly into the antichamber, reaching out with the force to comunicate with the young Jedi. "Hello there. I am Soth Nuevole." @Drop Shock @Kaane

Jedi Temples always made Leys feel restless. Though he for the most part kept busy with Knight Avenger work and Jedi operations there was always down time eventually, and Leys tried to spend as little of it as possible in a temple. He was never one for meditation and felt a Jedi could do more productive things with his time than loiter in an old building.

It was with this in mind that Leys was sweeping down the ancient halls of the temple on Jedha, his white robes flowing behind him and his eyes set firmly at the end of whatever hall he was currently in. He showed virtually no appreciation for the hallowed place at all. When his communicator went off he glanced down at it...

And then he literally walked into a Mirialan.

"My apologies," Leys said to the other Jedi, "that was entirely my fault. I should have paid more attention to where I was going." He paused, then decided he should be polite. "I'm Knight Leys Jiron, and you are?..."

The voice came through the music with a definite purpose, but with the gentleness of a whisper. He could've sworn it would've blended into the tune he had on, if he didn't already know it was an instrumental.

He opened his eyes, their black surface reflecting the light of the midday sun streaming through the temple's windows. Turning around, he found a rather sordid-looking, armored Jedi with some odd tattoos on his face. He had no idea what a Mirialan was, but this dude was cool-looking at least. He offered a small smile as he stood up and bowed.

"Nak Ammati. Initiate, and best medic this Order's gonna see for at least, like 5000 years, give or take. Pleasure to meetcha!"

It seemed this guy was equally as vigilant as he was, wearing his armor when not in combat. Preparedness was always something he could appreciate. "That armor's pretty sweet though, have any idea where I can get some? This standard-issue stuff is fine but it doesn't have that oomph, y'know. When you wanna just let everyone know how badass you are."

Little did he know that the badass levels in the room were about to escalate about ten times over.

Someone bumped into armor-dude by accident, quite carelessly. If he did that in training someone would probably talk to him about how distracted he was for an hour or so, but he surmised he'd probably have to wait til he was an actual Knight himself before he could give a speech like that. He instead looked around Soth's body, as he grinned. Familiarity washed over him; he knew exactly who this was.

Whenever he could, he would pipe in: "Sweet cosplay, man, I didn't know people here were into that stuff...I actually have a pretty awesome Knight Avenger getup too; the mask's corporate junk, but everything else is homema..."

Leys Jiron. Leys Jiron.

The name finally hit his mind as he did a double take.

"You're actually him!"

He slipped up beside Soth and reached out his hand to shake the Knight Avenger's hand, likely before he offered it, if he even did when it came to ravenous worshippers. "Dude, I'm like your biggest fan, screw everyone else, they don't even know you like I know you dude! Also, that fight on The Return of the Alabaster Alchemist last week, straight masterful, man. And you've GOT to show me how you pulled off that quintuple backflip slash when you fought Darth Hellion, honestly, I'd have to say that was your piece de resistance, though the lightning deflection during that one duel on the Impaler's bridge came a close second, that was pretty sweet too..."

He sighed and breathed in deeply a few times over, catching his breath. "Whew...uh...anyways I'm Nak...yeah, I like your show, and stuff......can you autograph my armor?"

As Soth stood to attention in front of the Jedi initiate, he was abruptly sent forward. He placed his left foot in front of him to catch his fall before regaining his composure. He turned to see a fellow Jedi Knight. "My apologies, that was entirely my fault. I should have paid more attention to where I was going. I'm Knight Leys Jiron, and you are?..."

Soth extended his right hand to the newcomer. "I am Knight Soth Nuevole."

"I am Knight Soth Nuevole."

Leys accepted the handshake that Soth offered, inclining his head respectfully to his new acquaintance as he did so. The mirialan's armor - ornate and decorated as it was - impressed Leys, and he was about to open his mouth to ask about it when a third voice, very young and enthusiastic, joined in the conversation.

"Sweet cosplay, man, I didn't know people here were into that stuff...I actually have a pretty awesome Knight Avenger getup too; the mask's corporate junk, but everything else is homema..."

The nautolan's breath seemed to catch in his throat, and Leys raised his brow under his mask. Whatever thoughts he was about to have would have to wait, however, as the little Jedi found his voice. Which was now running at double speed. Leys struggled to keep up with the flood of words coming from the other Jedi, and he before he knew what was quite going on he found himself shaking hands with the nautolan. Once Leys' brain had caught up with what was reaching his ears he realized he was dealing with quite possibly his biggest fan ever (that run-in on Naboo didn't count, as far as Leys was concerned). The nautolan could probably recount virtually every fight he had been in as Knight Avenger, real or studio-produced, and for a moment Leys thought he was going to do just that. But the younger Jedi suddenly remembered he had to breath, which seemed to interrupt his chain of thought and calmed him.

"Whew...uh...anyways I'm Nak...yeah, I like your show, and stuff......can you autograph my armor?"

Leys smiled under his mask. Nak's enthusiasm was refreshing, and reminded him why he took up the mantle in the first place. "Of course," he said, "I'd be happy to. And I'm honored to meet you, Nak; Jedi like you represent the future of the Order." He paused and looked to Soth, then back to Nak. "And... perhaps the Force has brought us together. If you two aren't too busy we could get to know each other better over some food." Leys gestured towards the exit of the Temple, then looked back at Nak. "And maybe I can think of an adventure or two I've had that even you haven't heard yet."

It was everything Nak dreamed of. It wasn't like he was talking to some goof in a costume like the Bakuran Baron or Dr. Democracy; this was an actual galactic champions, standing in front of him, right here. He even said he'd autograph his armor...as far as the young Initiate was concerned, he'd probably never take it off again after he did. And then he followed it up with that little "Jedi like you represent the future of the Order" line...

This guy.

He was beyond awesome.

His jubilance showed outwardly as he was beaming with joy the entire time, taking it down to a satisfied grin by the time the Knight Avenger was about halfway through responding to the fanfare heaped upon him. Even then, Nak was still hanging on every word; he could listen to this guy talk about the Jedi and freedom for hours, he just knew how to hit those chords in one's heart that resonated in the key of bravery. Of course, the apprentice healer didn't really enjoy killing or maiming others, especially ones as deeply injured as Sith...but damn it all did it make him look amazing when he crushed an unwary idiot flat. I mean, what was wrong with enjoying literally the most epic fighting choreography this side of the Core?

In Nak's innocently reverent eyes, this was what he aspired to be. In his own way, of course, completely copying one's idol was pretty creepy.

...He realized that made him half-way there to creepiness, but pushed it aside for the moment as he nodded vigorously in acceptance of the Knight's offer.

"Absolutely man! You up for some Soth?" he said, realizing that for a brief moment he entirely forgot the man who talked to him in the first place. "I hear there's this street cafe on Hjylt Avenue where all the cool Jedi go...with your armor and your....uh, being freaking you," he said as he patted both their backs simultaneously, "I imagine we'll fit right in."
