Reinhart Grimm was a Paladin of the Adamite Tower turned Jedi during the Force Eternal era. Raised on Weik far from galactic civilization, his youth began quite ordinarily, a simple village lad in an equally simple town. His father was a burly baker, while his mother was a hunter-guard. This all changed when his sensitivity to the 'Magic of the World' was picked up by a group of Cendiary Priests visiting to repair structures, create tools, and collect alms. Offered the chance at a different life he went along with them and began to learn their ways.

While he picked things up fairly well, Reinhart was dissatisfied with the kind of help the priests gave to others. A man with strong morals and the urge to directly protect others, his path changed yet again after personally meeting a band of Paladins from the far-away Adamite Tower. They recognized in him something beyond his ability to touch the Force, a will of iron they could reforge into an adamite blade.

With profuse thanks to the priests, he left again on a new journey, taking vows to abandon his prior name and identity. Years of training, lessons, and actions taken against those who threatened those living hard lives on Weik taught him many things. How to fight, how to speak to others, how to understand different points of view. Most importantly, to his mind, it taught him to be brave.

But this was not yet the end of his journey. Skyholme Astromancers visited the tower with details of a vision they'd seen. A Paladin would travel, flying in the belly of an iron beast far away through the black night's sky. Carried on the breath of seasons' change, they'd said, came a message deciphered from the observation of stars and whispers of spirits.

"Red leaves fall from trees,
a call for when it's time.
Be brave."

That very coming autumn, as the leaves turned mixed colours of orange and brown in preparation for frigid winter, a flying ship emerged from the clouds and crash-landed barely a mile from the Adamite Tower. Reinhart joined a patrol and discovered two survivors, an older man fleeing the horrors of war who'd tried to enter hyperspace without calculating coordinates first, an emergency escape. Paired with a hyperdrive malfunction, the ship had gone wildly off course. It was sheer dumb luck that brought them to a system that was even habitable.

The other was his young son, a boy of only six. Even the Paladin's magic ways could not save the man in time, but the boy, shielded by his grandfather, still lived. Determining this ship was the 'Iron Beast' spoken of by the Astromancers, the Paladins tasked Reinhart with venturing far from Weik and bringing the judgment of the Adamite Tower to those who reveled in destruction and war.

Aided by the ship's resident droid, the craft was made workable again before autumn's end. Gifted with a revered pair of Sunfire Swords for his journey, Reinhart departed his lifelong home for the great unknown. He would be brave.

The greater galaxy was a bewildering cacophony of strange metal things and bright lights, extremely foreign to the Paladin. It was pure luck that brought him into contact with the Jedi Order. Or, as the strange monk had said, the 'Will of the Force.' Guided to Yavin IV, a place he found much greater comfort in for the many wooden trees instead of countless neon-and-steel towers, he learned more of what was happening across the stars. Wars on countless fronts, injustice and corruption around every corner, planets burned from falling fire shot from great ships in the sky.

Now the Faraway Paladin stands with the Jedi in their fight, a member of the Order in his own right. He adopted the young boy to raise as his own, vowing to keep him safe in place of his fallen family.

Reinhart is a human of Epicanthix descent, noted for his unusually strong power of will.

Skilled with blade, spear, and bow both on and off a mount, as well as different methods of unarmed combat. Dislikes firearms as he sees them as the typical weapons of bandits and raiders on Weik, whether they shoot bullets or bolts. His lightsaber form is closest to forms 5 and 7, with much practice at deflecting projectiles even while moving at speed.

His talents with the Force are somewhat unusual. Learned in foreign methods, he can alter stone, wood, and metal with particular proficiency. Calling the elements or moving objects are also within his purview. A competent healer, if not especially talented. Little ability in manipulating the minds of others, a practice scorned by the Paladins, compensated instead by a strong ability to protect and bolster. As a Paladin he is used to wearing, moving, fighting, and wielding the Force in medium or lighter armour.

Knowledgeable of small-unit tactics and defensive maneuvers, if unused to modern technology.

While he has little to no understanding of greater technology, mostly relying on his droid for things like mechanical repairs or flying the Lucky Jack, he does have more mundane abilities. Reinhart is a notable enough carpenter, builder, and craftsman. He's taken it upon himself to make by hand a small home on Yavin IV near the temple proper.

Enjoys playing the popular tabletop RPG based on real historical times, Force and Destiny.
