CHARACTER SUMMARY:
An orphaned former slave who idolizes the Jedi Order after an encounter with a Jedi Knight during his adolescence. He wishes to spread the message of the Jedi Code to the wider Galaxy to influence harmony. However, a prime example of the best intentions going awry, he has misconstrued the Code due to spending the majority of his life in corrupt settings.

  Rela was born to parents whose faces he'll never know, taken from them and his home planet of Ryloth before his first year of life had reached its completion. Raised in slavery like many of his kind, he was placed under the thumb of a human who valued appearance and monetary value over all else. With Rela's uncommon crimson skin tone and unblemished youth, the Twi'lek was of course considered to have met these criteria by his master. His slavery was kept a secret however, as his master was a semi well known face among the people of Alderaan.
  
  Presented as a part of the household's staff to the public and kept as little more than a pretty pet in private, Rela grew up knowing little more than the barest of convenience. He would come to understand the game of showing one face to strangers and another to those you trust but had nobody he could really trust in the first place due to his master keeping him separated from the others so as to not ruin his possession. Despite his isolation, Rela's childhood was not one of sadness or woe. He would spend what free time he had day dreaming about the wider Galaxy and what he was going to do with his life one day.
  
  Along with the rest of the Slaves in the Houshold, Rela was freed during his fifteenth year when a Jedi Knight arrested his master for his crimes against the laws of the Republic. Rela found himself fascinated by the Jedi. The air of confidence, the selfless desire to simply help others because it was the right thing to do. The Jedi Knight took the former slaves to Coruscant to be relocated by an organization who helped their kind and Rela spent the entire flight there assaulting the Jedi with questions. The Jedi Knight answered each one patiently and calmly, never losing his temper at the curious young Twi'lek and upon the boys request, he Jedi wrote down the Jedi Code for him to keep.
  
  After his arrival, Rela bid the Jedi farewell and was relocated to a boarding school where he was supposed to received a hastened education. Instead, he was taken from there then made to work for a corrupt woman in charge of a small bar in one of the lower levels of the city planet. Due to his rarity and budding looks, Rela was usually made to serve customers who came into the bar to influence higher sales. Prompted by his boss, Rela quickly built up a charming personality and an eye for another persons body language. This made him into a popular worker in the bar and he used this popularity to not only increase sales as was the intention of his boss, but also to discover more about the Jedi. He was saddened to learn that the Order was splintered and a good chunk of the Galaxy had a stigma against who he viewed as infallible heroes rather than religious fanatics.
  
  Through all this, Rela memorized the Jedi Code and reminded himself of it daily as he was made to charm customers in more direct ways by his boss. Eventually once he was almost of an appropriate age, he was made to engage in physical relations with customers with pricing negotiated by his boss beforehand. Like his charming personality, the prostitution was easily adopted into Rela's day to day life as he viewed the Jedi Code as the only thing that truly mattered. On his Twenty-First birthday (or at least the day he celebrated it), he was granted a fair amount of credits from his boss for his years of faithful service. With about half of the amount, he bought a stun baton to mimic the weapon of the Jedi and had the Jedi Code tattooed around his left forearm in his peoples native tongue.
  
  
  Emotion, yet Peace. This meant that only through exploring and experiencing their emotions would anyone be able to find Peace.
  Ignorance, yet Knowledge. This meant that formal education was not a factor required for Knowledge, that a persons own experiences dictated that.
  Passion, yet Serenity. This meant that everybody needed to follow their Passions in order to achieve a state of internal Serenity.
  Chaos, yet Harmony. This meant that for Harmony to exist, Chaos would first need to be endured.
  Death, yet the Force. This meant that the concept of Life and Death was not as clear cut as it seemed, that Death could be the truest manifestation of the Force itself.

  For the next two years, he continued his work under his boss. He charmed customers out of their credits and their clothes during the day while he began to meditate on the Jedi Code during the night. He seemed to lack Force sensitivity, but knew that the mere act itself brought him closer to the Jedi Order. Then one day his boss peacefully passed away in her bed. With a smile and a silent bid of congratulations, he slipped away from the bar with a pouch full of credits, a stolen blaster and a new goal in his mind. He would travel the Galaxy and bring the message of the Jedi Order to them and use all the skills he had picked up during his life in order to make people see things his way.
