BIOGRAPHY
The wizened dowager of House Valorum was born on Coruscant, ultimately the middle child between a brother and a sister. Second-in-line, it was fated she would be married to another prestigious house. However, when her older brother overdosed in his teenage years, Mori Valorum was elevated to heir of House Valorum. When her parents sought suitors for their daughters, Mori vanquished the idea, taking control of her life herself. Love taking the back seat, Mori Valorum focused on cementing her control over the several subsidiaries in House Valorum's control. She interned with the Senator of Coruscant for three years, where she met her husband-to-be, the Senator's son.

After her internship ended and she completed her schooling, she joined the election-ticket as the junior senator for Coruscant. The bid was successful, and she soon became more powerful than her parents. Over the next decade, she increased her influence by mingling with other Senators and corporations. A year after marrying her fiance, she gave birth to a healthy son, two more boys birthed over the next five years. When her mother-in-law retired, she campaigned as her successor, beating House Tagge's bid for senior Senator of Coruscant. Over the next few decades, Mori Valorum cemented her role as the longest-lasting Senator of Coruscant, during which time House Valorum's power grew and Mori was gifted with grandchildren.

Mori Valorum never favored the war she inherited upon joining the Senate. Surrendering funds to aid the Grand Army of the Republic, she had thwarted Coruscant's defense fleet from leaving the planet, to keep the capital of the Republic safe, along with Mori's interests on the planet. The Coruscanti Senator was an actively hostile to the pro-war movement. When the exiles were pushed out of the Republic, Mori Valorum saw her chance. The war had left the Republic bitter, and few of the Core and Inner Rim sought to follow the Chancellor's aim to chase after the exiles. Against much opposition, a Republic fleet chased after the exiles for another decade. When elections occurred ten years after the ejection of the exiles from Republic Space, Mori Valorum heavily campaigned against the Chancellor and won. Within the year, she had dissolved the official standing of the Grand Army of the Republic, and returned the amalgamized defense forces to their respective planets. Returning the Republic's roots in trade, she has pushed for reform in many war-time policies that had cropped up. Aid once promised to war-torn planets were dwindled, Chancellor Valorum believing they would be better spent in the Core. Though a stalwart opponent against criminal corruption, her policies have allowed the Hutt Cartel a window was squandered.
