Failing Relations
Greetings, all!
We have had an exciting few weeks here at the beginning of the timeline. Relations with the Jedi have remained estranged, the Border Alliance has taken several military actions against the Sith and in the surrounding quadrants, and the Senate remains as dysfunctional as it was intended to be. Even after the assassinations of the Chancellor's husband and the High Commander, with the Sith threat becoming increasingly more present, the evidence is not compelling enough for the Senate to act against them.
Failing Relations
Upon their request, the Sith have been invited to a hearing at the Senate in regards to recent events. That thread can be viewed here, and there is an open reaction thread for posting here.
Additionally, the Senate voted to send a delegation to request that the Jedi - essentially - stay away from the Border Alliance's conflict with the Sith. That thread can be found here. We'll see how that goes over...
Missions, Hearings, & Sessions - Oh My!
The faction leadership has been extremely pleased with the output, energy, and dedication to our faction in these first few weeks. As quick as we can produce missions, hearings, and sessions, the members have been stepping up to the challenge and writing interesting, engaging, and phenomenal roleplays.
This is a trend we want to continue.
While our current system is a bit messy, we want to continue to test its abilities over time. We will continue to post mission packs, hearings, and session in the Republic Missions and Senate Hearings subforum of the Republic Faction forums. To try and help some of the confusion, I have added a Faction Threads- Official Tracker thread to keep our official faction timeline in order.
Leadership
It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that @Aluminum Falcon and @Galavant will be joining the Faction Leadership. Falcon and Galavant will be working with me to help develop and advance the plots primarily surrounding the Border Alliance. They have been actively discussing plans with me over the last day or so, and I am quite honestly ecstatic to see what happens as they join me at the helm of the BA.
With that said, it is also important to me that I mention we had an amazing turn-out in interest for the AFL positions. Thank you to everyone who applied. While we play a large part in steering the faction, it is the writers who make our faction what it is, and I look forward to seeing everyone's passion turn into amazing development and writing.
Lastly, please join me in not only welcoming Falcon and Galavant, but also thanking @Beta12 for his great work at the beginning of the timeline. Together, with our amazing writers and new leadership, our faction is set up to create some of the most inspirational, dynamic writing this site has ever seen. I can not wait to be a part of it with all of you.
