EQUIPMENT

DESCRIPTION
The Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers was initially designed by the Kuat-Entralla Engineering company for the First Order, taking inspiration from the Galactic Empire Imperial-Class Star Destroyers. However due to the lack of resorces the First Order had access to in comparison to the Galactic Empire they were not able to construct huge numbers of capital ships and worked for a quality of quantity design.

These ships would follow there predecessors with the dagger shape design used for enticing physiological fear in the enemy, however the Resurgent-Class also took ideas from the Old Republic allowing its capital ships to also fill the role of carriers unlike the Imperial-Class with a large keel, side hangers and independent flight control.

These ships took the lead in the First Order and Subsequent Final Orders fight against The Resistance. However after the defeat of Darth Sidious and collapse of the Final Order most of these ships were destroyed either in the final Battle of Exegol or following clean-up operations throughout the galaxy. Although a few of these ships would float around the outer rim for the following one hundred years most would fall into disrepair or destroyed in battle.

Following the re-discovery of the planet of Exegol and its vast shipyards, the burgeoning Sith Order needed a powerful warship to help push forward its conquests. Designs of the Resurgent-Class were lifted from old files, as the ship was a leading combat ship little was needed apart from Navicomputer and Hyperdrive upgrades to bring it to the modern times.

Apart from any semi functional dreadnaughts floating in the outer rim, the Resurgent is the most powerful capital ship in the Sith Orders arsenal. Although due to the Exegol shipyards still only being semi-functional production is limited.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers are classified as capital ships under Galactic law, and possess heavy weapons, making them difficult or impossible for civilians and even small factions to own. To date, however, this has been a non-issue, as they are exclusively built by the secretive Exegol Shipyards for use by the Sith Order.

INTENT
To move a Cannon ship over onto the sight and create the first of many ships for the Exegol shipyards to produce for the Sith Order's Navy.

RESTRICTIONS
Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers are large capital ships with heavy weapons, and capital ships cannot be owned or operated by individual characters. They are exclusive to the Sith Order faction.
