SIZE
Models of retrofitted vibro-axe can come in many different shapes and sizes, due to the attachment of a vibro-generator to a previously mundane weapon. Jayjack Birdleve's weapon, pictured above, is approximately 11 inches long, by three inches wide at the base, and seven inches wide at the head. This being said, there is no limit to the size of the weapon, providing an appropriate vibro-generator is attached. Two-handed variants also exist, but are cumbersome, and nigh impossible to hide.

WEIGHT
Once again, the weight of a retrofitted vibro-axe is down to the weight of both the axe that was used to make it beforehand, and the weight of the vibro-generator attached to the weapon. Some are as light as a mere kilogram, but some can be as heavy as five or six kilos. Jayjack's weapon, specifically, pictured above, is around a kilo and a half.

COMPOSITION
Retrofitted vibro-axes are made of whatever the axe was made from beforehand, which can be wood, durasteel, plasteel, or even phrik. That being said, the vibro-generator is almost always made of durasteel, and is unable to be coated in any kind of lightsaber resistant material, making it a valid weakspot for the weapon.

DESCRIPTION​

The retrofitted vibro-axe is nothing more than a humble weapon-come-tool, with a vibro-generator attached to increase lethality. Weapons of all shapes and sizes can be outfitted with the aforementioned generators, from tiny hatchets, to large battleaxes. The typical retrofitted vibro-axe is made of a durasteel axe head, plasteel handle, and is a one-handed weapon - though that isn't to say that other combinations do not, or cannot exist. There is a large amount of room for visual and cosmetic customisation, but realistically, there's not much you can do to customise the functions of an axe. It is possible to coat the head and handle of a retrofitted vibro-axe in phrik, though this cannot be done for the vibro-generator itself, leaving it weak to blaster bolts, lightsabers, or opposing melee weapons.

LEGALITY​

Variable. A few civilized planets have taken to banning vibroweapons all together, but the vibro-axe's reputation as a useful tool has ensured that it will be one of the last to be gotten rid of. Expect to have it confiscated (as per weapon amnesty laws) if carrying in public, without reason, but it is unlikely that one will be charged with a crime for possessing it alone. Keep it hidden, essentially.

INTENT​

To create a modular, slightly customizable melee weapon that makes sense within SW lore - and to create a weapon that is melee and lethal, for those that aren't in FS factions. The only alternative currently was the Stun Baton (IIRC), and it made sense to create something, ultimately inferior to a blaster or even a lightsaber, that an average Joe could wield and use.
