B I O G R A P H Y

The Temple of the Sacred Circle, Monastery​

Rian Auriol ("Ree-an Or-reeol") was born on Hapes to a poor family of no repute. Having more use for daughters than sons, his parents gave him away as a baby to a mission run by clerics from the Order of the Sacred Circle.

Taken to the cloistered world of Monastery, Rian was raised from a babe to adulthood by the religious order, schooled and indoctrinated to be one of its leading priests.

Manifesting the Force in his late teens, Rian increasingly found his abilities and sense of purpose in the Force at odds with a narrow priestly life. Though he eventually renounced clerical orders and left Monastery to seek out the Jedi, he remains heavily influenced by the Circle's culture, outlook and beliefs.

A zealous and single-minded Padawan, he excelled in his training and quickly ascended to Knight at a time when the Jedi were seeking every capable hand. Hard hit by the torment and tragedies inflicted by Darth Raze and others, he has become increasingly consumed with vanquishing every traces of the Dark.

A fanatical zealot with few outside interests, Rian has a high level of physical and mental conditioning and a natural aptitude for the Force, accelerated and deepened by an early life of religious study and contemplation.

Eschewing the lightsaber on coming to the Jedi, his talents and existing knowledge lent themselves more readily to the ancient art of Sign Casting. Rian is an increasingly proficient caster, with a developing repertoire incorporating elements of Sacred Circle mythology.

Having poor night-vision like most Hapans, Rian regularly uses the Force to create light, to aid his own efforts and as a debilitating weapon against enemies. His manipulation of light is almost second nature, with lighting of any kind often blazing brighter when he enters the vicinity.
