Tatooine

Vaidas dumped the four bags onto the counter and the clerk glanced at the bags and then looked at me. “What?” The clerk shrugged. Vaidas sighed and he took out four flyers from one of his many pockets and handed them to the clerk. “I know you prefer to have them alive, but these fuckers didn’t give me that option.” I replied. “Oh.” The clerk pouts. He checks through the bags to confirm they’re the correct person. “If I’m right, you owe me 230,000 credits, for all four of these heads. 5750 credits each.” The clerk nods. My data pad pings, the credits are already in my account. It still amazes me how fast this process happens.

Vaidas nods at the clerk and he walks towards the door. The building is more of a converted garage than an actual store. But either way it works and it’s easy to find, since Mos Eisley only has a few of these buildings. By the time I get to my ship, I can barely see properly due to the amount of sweat that’s dripping from my hair. Getting off Tatooine and going somewhere cool would be the ideal route to go for. Vaidas decided to go to Coruscant. He could do with a break. He needed to re-supply regardless. He flips a bunch of switches and sits in his chair. It’s going to be a long journey back home. Within seconds, his ship departs from the Mos Eisley Spaceport and exits Tatooine’s atmosphere.

Coruscant

Eventually Vaidas reached the Eastern Spaceport. Before he disembarks his ship, he makes a note of all the things he needs. He fills two pages of notes on his data pad, most of it being groceries. He also took notes of what gear he needed. A few grenades would be useful, as well as several extra ammo packs. He’ll probably head to the Lower Market Districts first. Re-filling his ship with food and long term supplies is more important than getting new weapons. It’s been a long time since Vaidas last came to Coruscant. He might be able to find some work here too. Either way, this trip will be worth it.

The Lower Market District is brimming with people, of all different kinds. Vaidas almost forgot how busy Coruscant is all the time. He passed through several market stalls, selling various cooked meats and frozen soups. Nothing really took his interest, so he moved onwards. One stall caught his eye, one that sold various vegetables. The price seemed reasonable too. Vaidas bought a variety of vegetables. Some common, others not so common. He had some pre-made sauce packets left in his ship, he could use those for a stir-fry. He paid the droid for his vegetables and headed further into the district. He finally found a store that wasn’t a stall and headed inside.

The shelves were reasonably stocked and it didn’t take Vaidas long to find everything he needed. By the time he had gone round the store once, he needed to get another basket. He left the store with four large bags stocked with food. He could’ve done without some of the things he bought, but in the long run they would prove to be useful. The sun had disappeared when he got back to his ship, he unloaded his groceries and put everything away. It felt good being able to stock his storage units with goods. Shopping for groceries often proved to be quite a therapeutic experience for Vaidas. He didn’t need to kill anyone, he didn’t need to carry bags of decapitated heads around. He even tipped the droid that helped him in the shop. It always improved his mood.

It was always a bit of a risk going out at night in Coruscant. It would go one of two ways for him. Either he would get in trouble with somebody, somewhere and the entirety of Hell would be released into the world, OR, things would go smoothly and nothing at all would happen. Vaidas hoped it would be the latter of the two. But knowing his luck, he’ll get the first option. He found the weapons shop that he had bookmarked on his datapad months ago. It was small and tucked away in an alley. A bell rang as he entered the shop, the clerk (who happened to be a Bith and spoke in Galactic Basic) peered out from a room in the back of the shop and nodded at Vaidas as he entered. “Let me know if you need anything!” He yelled and disappeared back into the room before Vaidas could even respond.

Vaidas shoved on some music through his helmet's in-built speakers and browsed the shelves until he found the grenades he had needed. The only thing this shop seems to be missing is ammo packs. Turning off the music, Vaidas headed towards the room he saw the Bith in and knocked on the door. The Bith didn’t respond to his knocks, so Vaidas poked his head around the corner. The Bith looked to be asleep. He didn’t feel like waking him, so he resumed his browsing. He found more of the grenades he had already obtained, and stuffed the three he had in his hand into his pouch. He never really enjoyed stealing, but the Bith wouldn’t notice it either way. He wandered back towards the Bith carrying the grenades he picked up from the shelf. This time he walked up to the Bith and patted him on the back with enough force that would wake someone up. The Bith didnt move. “Hey.” Vaidas said and shook the Bith. No response. He put the grenades down onto the desk, and grabbed the Bith and pulled him back into his chair. That’s when he noticed the blood. A chunk of the Bith’s chest was missing. The bloody bastard shot himself. Fuck. If anyone caught Vaidas now, they would assume he killed him. He needs to get as far away from this shop as possible.

He slowly backed out of the Bith’s workshop, with the grenades he was going to pay for, and began to make his way out of the shop. Before he made his way out, he noticed a few ammo packs tucked away at the bottom of one of the shelves. He grabbed them and managed to get out of the shop. He looked left and right, no one seemed to be in the alleyway. He stuffed the ammo packs away and headed out into the main street. He walked as fast as he could back towards the eastern spaceport. He needs to leave Coruscant now before anyone finds the dead Bith.
