Abhean.

Soon the planet would fully be under Sith control, this "holy" settlement was all that stood in their way. The Temple loomed in front of the three Sith who had been tasked with taking it. Zazai would have opted to come in the day, kill until all were dead or bent the knee to the Empire, but they had been given a more surgical mission than that.

They were to storm the Temple, remove any guards and secure for Imperial Forces to move in. The rest of the settlement would fall in line once their temple had fallen, or they would befall the same fate.

Zazai pulled his hood back from his face as he looked out from the shadows of the alley they arrived in. He had not met either of the Sith he had been tasked with. One he knew was the apprentice of Lord Evandrus, not much older than a child but he knew nothing about the other woman with them. The Pureblood Sith was not much for words, even less so introductions.

They all knew their mission. Take the Temple and leave none of the guards alive.

The sorceress was early today, a rarity for her as tardiness had grown to be the norm rather than the exception. However, this seemed like a delicate matter, and she strove to impress. Besides, she had volunteered for this debacle, thinking that perhaps some old fashioned slaughter would be quite exhilarating as she had been busied with too many diplomatic missions as of late. Her lithe figure slowly paced behind the pureblood sith, coming to stand besides him as he lowered his hood. Beautiful eyes shifted over to him and said nothing but rather gave him a youthful smile that dictated thousands of words. Delicate fingers lowering her hood as well, ginger locks floated endlessly from her hairline, cascading against the ebony cloak she adorned this evening.

Crimson saber ignited from her right hand while the left remained free to channel in the unholy essence, dark sided energies wrapping around her figure defensively and allowing her senses to remain on full alert as they would shortly advance into the temple. Her beauty soon began to wilt away in terror, wails of tortured souls decorating her face with dark sided corruption as the once hazel eyes soon turned to yellow.

She knew what she had to do, it would be a remarkable pleasure. Hopefully her allies would enjoy this as much as her.

It was growing late, the last few embers of burning sunlight casting shadows in the skies. The mountainous horizon was an absolute spectacle, something she would long remember after her victories on Abhean. Her victories, not victories to be shared with the red-headed woman or the ominous Sith figure who stood beside her, overlooking the religious temple soon to be claimed in the name of the Empire. Arthemise had worked hard to convince Evandrus that she was ready to leave for a mission without him and she would be sure not to make him regret the decision.

Moving along the dirt path that had led them through the mountains, she pulled back her hood, making a point to adjust the platinum braids that held the hair from her face. Her eyes inspected the pair, rather disappointed with her selection in comrades. Had it been her choice, She would have come on her own terms. Of course, it might have been wise to give them more starting credit.

Arthemise sighed, arms folded over her chest. “You know, no one has ever won a war by admiring their enemies at a distance.” She approached them from behind, leaning against the base of a tree. In the distance sat the temple, small almost ant-like figures moving in and out of the structure; she could have reached out an squashed them but they were too far.

“I’m Arthemise.” Her eyes move expectantly to the others, eyebrow raised cautiously. “You are?” She looked directly at the Sith man, arms still folded and pressed to her chest. Her tone rather short and her words to the point. She wasn’t about to waste time.

Zazai let a low, rumbling sound, not unlike a growl as young girl thought to run her tongue. He had no doubt she was capable, or she would not have been accepted as an apprentice to a Sith Lord but that wouldn't do he much good if Zazai ripped her in half.

He didn't look at her or further acknowledge the girl's comment. When she offered her name and asked for his, her tone more entitled than inquisitive. "I know who you are." he said pausing for a brief second. "You are a brat who thinks she is something because she was taken as a Sith Lord's pet." he said turning to look at her, no small amount of venom in his voice.

Before the conversation went further, the older of the two women arrived and ignited her lightsaber, exposing their position as the ally way began to glow red. He had hoped to wait a few more minutes when there would have been the least amount of guards, but now they would need to move quickly before the had a chance to rally their full defenses.

He took off bounding across the roadway and then open grass field before the temple, and finally began running up the stairs. The guards, who had seen the lightsaber from their high vantage point were rushing down to meet the trio.

The sith sorceress was bloodthirsty and eager to prove herself in combat, not wishing to waste more precious moments in attempted stealth and futility. As the pureblood rushed forwards, she followed close suit behind him, her slow ambulation soon picking up to a full sprint. Saber twirled in her right hand while the force continued to grow in her free left hand. Her path crossed to the right of Zazai as she ascended the stairs in concert with him. As the first duo of the temple guards came to meet them, she extended her palm outwards and utilized the force to yank their footing from underneath them. Their bodies toppled over one another, causing chaos in their descent and leaving them wide open for her comrades to entertain with deathly attacks.

The backlash had been anticipated given her rude introduction, but unplanned attack had come as a complete surprise. True that the woman risked giving away their position, but without a plan or communication, they put themselves at greater risk of losing their lives. It became clear that she couldn’t rely on these idiots to keep her alive; they were too bold and lacked a certain wisdom that came with organizing an attack. It was quite disappointing, but backing was no longer an option.

“No wait, come back..” she pleaded sarcastically, reaching for the saber that hung at side. With an irritated sigh, she raced behind them, eyes scanning the temple to map out the position of their targets.

It didn’t take her long to catch up given she was smaller and had the Force to aid her, but she kept a short distance behind Zazai and Alexandra, giving them the opportunity to take the fall for their bold and reckless tactics.

Reaching out in the Force as they ascended the stairs, Aria pulled one of the guards from his perch. He laid motionless on the ground, body unable to withstand the impact of the fall.

Zazai was on top of the first of the fallen guards before they had time to react. His lightsaber cleaved the man in two but before he could descend on the others they had recovered enough to begin firing.

He spun his lightsaber, blocking several shots as he leaped into the air, spinning to land on the other side of the group of fallen soldiers. They would continue firing but this would mean they couldn't all concentrate fire in one direction.

He took a step back as many of the soldiers had continued to fire at him, their focus on him since he had been the first, and by far, the largest target.

The lithe sorceress twirled her crimson saber in right hand as she emerged from the rocky conclaves that afforded her cover. A stalking entity, preying on the will of those that opposed her. It was like a mirage of darkness, covered in her ebony cloaks as the saber snapped upwards and deflected one blaster bolt back upon the soldier who fired it, smashing effortlessly against his skull and dropping his body to the unwelcoming floor below. She spun to the side of the other blasts, bringing her saber from left to right in an upwards direction as she seared off the combat arm of the soldier nearest her. As his body shriveled out of her path, she ducked underneath the incoming melee blow and stabbed with keen precision towards the belly of her next opponent. Planting a delicate hand on his breast plate, she shoved his corpse off her weapon. Eyes corrupted with the will of the darkside, her gaze slowly drifted to those that remained and the location of her allies.

Sirens blared in the distance, echoing through the mountains that surrounded the temple under siege, but there was no one to respond. The hills desolate and deserted, the echo of the siren served only to remind those inside that their time was limited. Their panicked faces were all she could imagine, stepping through the front doors to claim the structure for the Empire. It was all rather dramatic but absolutely necessary to instill the idea that the Sith Empire was not a forgiving force.

Reaching out, she coiled her fingers in the fabric of one of the guards cloaks and ripped him from his post. The handle of his blaster came up to meet her face, spilling crimson blood from a wound made just below her eye. She inhaled, burning hatred filling her lungs as she drove the end of her blade between his ribs. When the life had drained from his eyes, she kicked his lifeless corpse down the front steps and out of her path.

The taste of iron coated her lips, eyes searching for another target as she brought her blade up to protect her side from an incoming blaster bolt. It bounded off her blade, disappearing into the crowd of men who moved to avoid it. Licking the blood from her lip, she moved closer to the doors only to be met with resistance. Her vision locked on the tall blonde soldier, extending her free hand to wrap him in the Force. He clawed at his neck, feet dangling beneath him as she strangled him, lifting his body into the air. As the two others fought below, Zazai fought at the top of the stairs, facing off against the last remaining six guards. With an outstretched hand, he will the Force to pull the men to the ground but one of the soldiers raised his rifle and got off a shot just in split second before. The blaster bolt struck the Sith in his armored chest plate. The armor took most of the damage, but he still gained burns from the shot causing him to lose focus.

With a bestial growl, he leaped towards the guards, cutting his attacker down before he even had time to screen. Now in the midst of all of them, their rifles put them at a disadvantage to his lightsaber. He swept his blade, again and again, each time another of the guards falling dead of dying.

And then it was over. They had won. It had not been a clean fight, but they hardly ever were. The temple belonged to the Sith. He let his blade fall dormant before hooking it back to his belt.

"You may bring your troops forward and clear the temple." he said into the commlink to the platoon leader who had been charged with holding the temple until reinforcements could arrive. The alarms had called any guards so it would be an easy task for the soldiers who had already emerged in the distance and were advancing on the Temple.

"I will oversee the Temple's defense. You may inform Lord Evandrus the Temple is his." he said to the two remaining Sith. With that he would turn and accompany the troops through the temple, sweeping it for remaining opposition, but of course, they found none.
