RJF - Rancor Squad
Rancor Squad is a special operations task force residing within the auspices of the Republic Judicial Forces. With the recent attack on the Senate, in the form of a psuedo-terrorist style strike on a Gala held on the planet Coruscant, the teams main job will be to track down and capture or eliminate key members of Hutt Cartel personnel, destory or impound key Hutt Cartel assets - in other words, bring the fight to the criminals. Naturally, the group will have some flexibility, and will be answerable to the Galactic Senate.
But..why Norbs?
It is no secret that I have been talking a lot about wanting to drive up activity within the RJF, nor is it a particular secret that I have been talking about a Special Forces Task Force for a while. However, when @Arclight put up the ISF Platoon, I thought now would be as good a time as any to guage the interest in kicking off our own one.
This group will be one squad, based of whatever ship we are allowed to use. Once we hit four people, not including the ships 'Commander' (which will for the time being be my character), we will open a second squad and so on and so forth. This group will be tasked with countermanding the efforts of Hutt Cartel Criminals in Republic Space to begin with, and as the group grows and does good work, shall be tasked with more work.
Whilst I have yet to talk to Arclight about this, I would be keen to see the group clash with ISF Platoon - within the political constraints placed on both groups naturally. Please note, players who are 'PvP Shy' are to take note: By joining this group, players must understand that teir characters will be serving in a specialised combat formation, and thus will be expected to PvP often.
OK...so what's next?
Currently, all you need to do is drop a link to your character below, and let me know if you're interested. Once I have a good number of people, a mission pack/plot will go up - almost certainly working around tracking down those responsible for the attack on the Senate Gala. Yes - I know it is Sreeya' character and she is scary and murdery, but you're in the RJF, it is our job to track down people who try and kill Senators.
