Though having a ship this time upon returning to the little settlement on Chalacta, unfortunately the Jedi's journey to their destination was not made any easier. The village was nestled in the middle of a mountain pass, making aerial travel to it dangerous if not impossible. Masters Austin and Galahad decided that for this part of their journey, they would need to make it on foot. With them, they had brought a single Jedi Knight and an accompanying youngling from Brighthome. Masquerading as refugees from the war, it was the hope of the doctor and former Temple Guard that the people would be willing to take them in. With the dark side artifact having been destroyed and the village freed from a powerful curse causing rampant illness, the two Jedi Masters were quite sure they would welcome the two newcomers with open arms at Austin and Galahad's request.

However, having exited the Azarael and looking upon the path that led to the settlement, Austin knew that the Force would need to be with them if they were to make it unscathed. He was unhappy that this was their only option, especially with one so young coming with them, but they would all do their best to keep the youngling safe. "Well then, let us begin," Austin announced, looking back once more at the ship to see Tennant standing at the bottom of the loading ramp. "Might be best if you stay with the ship this time, Ten." At this, the medical droid whirred before responding. "I was just about to suggest the same. I'll see you upon your return then, my companion." Though the doctor still didn't approve, he had long stopped trying to correct the droid. Smirking, he turned around and eyed the path ahead.

"I am sure Felwinter would enjoy living on Chalacta too, if we had chosen to," Austin mentioned past Knight Vell to Galahad. "Though he is much too large to get onto the Azarael now. Felwinter will be a sight to see once he reaches his full length. I doubt they make a ship in existence that could adequately carry a full-grown Arkanian Dragon."

The last time Austin and Galahad had visited Chalacta, the weather was warm and comfortable. Though the girl they met that day, Isola, had injured herself quite badly en route to the settlement, she had stepped off the beaten path and tried to climb one of the surrounding high cliffs as a shortcut; otherwise, the trail into town had been uneventful and easygoing. Now that they had returned as Jedi Masters, the land was covered in thick snow from the middle of the winter season. The wind stung their cheeks, and the steady snowfall reduced visibility to barely a few meters in any direction. The path ahead, though buried beneath nearly a foot of snow, was only distinguishable by the lay of the land itself which the trail naturally followed. Though the weather was perhaps not as harsh as on the slopes of Felwinter Peak, it would be wise for the group to tread cautiously nonetheless.

Though perhaps he was one of the slowest of their group, Galahad took the lead, utilizing his staff expertly to dig a path through the heavy snow for the others to follow. "Aye," he replied to Austin, "though I deem Chalacta's civilians certainly would not. He would have caused far more harm than good if he did reside here. But yes, indeed he will." The path suddenly cut along the side of a steep hill, the rock rising up high on their left and dipping straight down on their right. Though it provided slight shelter from the wind, that did little to help ease the nerves of the drop. Galahad continued as he forged their way along the edge. "I must disagree, my friend. There certainly are spacecraft that are large enough to carry a fully-grown Arkanian Dragon in their cargoholds. However, I doubt Felwinter would ever crawl into one of them willingly." He could only imagine the amount of coaxing, baiting, and reassuring it would take to fit Felwinter into a claustrophobic space like a cargo hold.

He was quickly broken from his thoughts as the wind overhead suddenly blasted through the pass above, dislodging a large snowbank above them. "Brace yourselves!" Galahad called out to the others. Seconds later, the entire group was completely buried beneath a heavy layer of snow. Though the group would not be seriously injured, their current progress would certainly be halted.
