    INTENT
To create an alternative staple weapon for players who routinely find themselves in confrontation with both Force and Non-Force characters regularly and prefers a weapon which does not force them to lose a tactical advantage against a Force-User when choosing a weapon to handle a non-Force user, and vice versa. Typical blasters will have a character sacrifice between "non-deflection bolts i.e particle beam" and "armor penetration" in usual scenarios; the ROMULUS/REMUS weapons system provides a good alternative medium between both traits while remaining competitive. Ultimately this technology should empower non-Force users with a balanced yet unique weapon.

    DESCRIPTION
Deriving its name from an ancient myth between two brothers, the MK 3 Adaptable Combat Weapons Platform System (ACWPS) was designed by Imperial Stormtrooper Nayel Kohner who later sold his patent in an auction. The concept behind the ACWPS is in its duality of design to counter both Force-users and standard military personnel with both variants of the weapon. Each variant allows the operator to play to their strengths within contextual environments, providing a good balance of power, weight and versatility.

The Remus variant is classified as a heavy blaster designed to puncture tough body armor at range; with a 300 meter maximum range coupled with a 6x magnification optics, the weapon can easily handle long range targets. Due to its high energy consumption the Remus ACWPS can only hold up to 15 shots per charge pack and generates an incredible amount of heat per shot. Even with dallorian alloys each shot simply produces too much wasted heat to dissipate quickly, leading to a slower fire rate in order to preserve the weapon durability. Firing rapidly (as commonly found in undisciplined shooters) can quickly lead to a melted barrel and damaged circuitry leaving the gunner with effectively a piece of slag in their hands. In the event that the operator finds themselves facing against a Force-user wielding a lightsaber at close range, the Remus literally and figuratively has fangs specifically designed to counter that: a retractable phrik-covered vibroblade serving as a bayonet hidden within the arm-guard of the weapon. It can be quickly extended by pressing a button by the barrel of the rifle, extending the weapon by an extra 36 cm. Along with the hand guard a gunner with proficient melee skills now has a melee weapon capable of combating fancy glow sticks without losing combat efficiency typically seen when a soldier using a generic brand blaster has to switch his weapons in the heat of the moment. As a safety precaution its designer also included an automatic safety pin feature whenever the bayonet is extended, preventing misfires in close quarters combat. The decision to include the safety feature unfortunately leaves the gunner without a ranged option while he is engaged but in an ideal situation will have no need to utilize the ranged feature. While retracting the bayonet is a near instantaneous process, it takes 15 seconds before the safety is disabled due to a flaw in the weapon, as the locking pin tends to stick if the trigger is squeezed instantly causing a critical misfire during one of its field tests. A relatively powerful weapon with a versatile and durable design, Remus is marketed for hardened killers with plenty of credits owing to its expensive material composition (Phrik.)

Being the younger brother Romulus is the carbine variant designed with rugged simplicity: with a more skeletonized body, it is a lightweight weapon which sacrifices ranged and penetrative power for its particle beam technology. This key feature makes this weapon highly prized for its inability to be deflected by lightsabers, making them potent Jedi/Sith killers (although the designer clearly intended them to be used against the Jedi.). With a retractable stock the Romulus ACWPS functions well in confined spaces, with a relatively light body allowing for more ammunition to be carried, or for another weapon in itself. While it loses accuracy per shot from its Remus brother, Romulus provides accuracy through sheer volume of fire thanks to its triple-shot burst fire selector, losing both the 6x magnification optics and iron sights making it inaccurate at anywhere but close range. In order to gain its lightweight class Romulus was forced to trade off some of its melee capabilities, including the extendable bayonet; in its place is a bayonet lug for the gunner to attach other knives for melee fights.

Owing to its compact and rugged design Romulus finds itself far more popular than its expensive brother, Remus; typically seen on hands of undisciplined gangsters, bounty hunters or even vehicle crews, its easy handling earns it plenty of praises. Unusual for a weapon of its category, the MK3 ACWPS features a break-top loading action to load its ammunition. This allows for the ACWPS to posses a longer barrel for extra range and quickly replace barrels in combat. Furthermore in the hands of a well practiced, well disciplined shooter the weapon can be loaded faster than conventional magazine box designs, which is also its drawback: fumbling the quick-reload can lead to embarrassing incidents if the top-half is not locked properly. Ammunition can sometimes fall out or not fire at all if inserted improperly; these are all 'mild' incidents which can occur. One field test shows that the weapon could even blow up in the shooter's hands when the energy pack is forced inappropriately into the receptacle. However with continuous practice or sufficient agility, the ACWPS can prove to be an extremely quick firing, quick loading weapon for all the operator's needs.

Sellers Note: Comes with adjustable weapon slings for ease of carrying

Uh, not sold on convertible weapons. And blaster deflection shouldn't be an issue unless you're standing up straight in the open with no cover, in which case what are you even.
