Biography
Zaar'ona'Nuruodo was a Chiss male known by his core name, Ronan. Born into the low-ranking family Zaar, Ronan was the youngest of four siblings. As a young man, he attended the Taharim Academy to pursue a military career with the hope of rising above his humble beginnings and to escape the shadow of his brother.
While there, the young cadet's promising talent and high scores would be observed by members of the Nuruodo Family, and he was taken in as a merit adoptive. The Nuruodo Family was fond of Ronan, and he easily rose within the family ranks from a Trial-born to a Cousin.
Following his graduation from the academy, Ronan was enlisted into the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force. Dedicated and always eager to prove himself, he rose through the ranks over time and was granted the office of Lieutenant Commander.
Deeply dissatisfied with this position, Ronan desired nothing more than to advance but was denied any promotion due to his unwillingness to cut ties with his family. No longer able to bear the shame of a mediocre position and furious that his brother continued to advance while he did not, Ronan abandoned Chiss space with his daughter to seek out another opportunity.

Personality
More than anything, Ronan desires to be respected by his peers. He is easily angered whenever his judgement or abilities are called into question but like many Chiss is reserved and collected, not allowing his true emotions to show. Self-reliant and independent, he does not easily make friends outside of his own species and is cautious with strangers. The brightest reminder of Chiss space and the life he left behind is his young daughter, whom he loves more than life itself.
Abilities
Intelligent and with a military background, Ronan's expertise lies in his ability to absorb and retain knowledge and plan with forethought. He speaks multiple languages—Cheunh and the trade-languages Minnisiat and Sy Bisti chief among them. With his sight ranging into the infrared spectrum, Ronan is easily able to read people and tell when they are lying based on the changing heat signatures in their faces. Due to his military background, he is an adept marksman and swordsmen but cannot claim proficiency in these areas without further training.
