I think it is that crust that accumulates at the edge of your mouth when you wake up in the morning.

I remember the first time I saw the change to Jabba outside the Millenium Falcon in A New Hope and thought it looked weird...

I do believe that it's a collection of media surrounding the adventures of a certain starship, the USS Enterprise, and its crew, namely the African-American blind cyborg Data and the pale Caucasian android named Geordi La Forge.

I am simultaneously impressed and disgusted, and I'm not sure why.

Congratulations good sir, you are a master.

Yes, yes and guess what? Yes.

Watching the fat and bearded barbarian Jabba with the original Emperor. Nice.

I've seen most versions.

I want to own most versions.

If true, sweet.

Episode 5, the one Lucas had the least amount to do with, is my favorite in the entire series. Considering it was also the most changed (apparently, I thought it went to ROTJ) in it's most recent adaption you could argue that George Lucas was the worst thing to happen to Star Wars.

Am i like the only person in the world who owns the original films on VHS? I didn't realize the original films were so hard to come by that it would take a re-release for people to get their hands on them.

There are multiple different versions, I have the Special Editions on VHS and I've seen pretty much every version, but we're discussing the prospect of the early/original versions being restored and released in the highest possible quality for the public because Lucas constantly ignored those requests.

I do! Not ANH though. I don't have anything to play them with, too...

Well most people don't have a VHS player anymore, so that makes VHS more difficult. Lucas released the unaltered films on bonus discs along with the altered films a few years ago, but that was a limited release and they weren't high def. It was just a crapy laser disc transfer, I believe.

That would require people to go to Kansas. Is the unaltered Star Wars really worth that?

Glad to here this. I actually grew up watching the '97 version on Laserdisc - am I the only one here who can lay claim to this? Pretty much the only two versions I'm okay with are the originals and the '97 version, and even then, that whole scene with Jabba in ANH was unnecessary.

Normally I'd blame Boli, but I'm on an integrity kick tonight.
