General Information

NAME: Rylee Asuchi
ALIASES: "Hearts"
FACTION: Sector Rangers
RANK: Ranger
SPECIES: Pantoran
AGE: 29
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5’4”
WEIGHT: 105lbs
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

Appearance

Rylee stands at 5’4”, weighs 105lbs with a slender build. She has long, light purple hair which falls to her waist and is usually worn in a long ponytail atop her head. She has yellow eyes and as is usual for Pantorans, has a light blue skin complexion. On both cheeks she has simple golden face tattoos in keeping with Pantoran traditions.

Her regular outfit consists of a crimson red leather jacket, pink top and black leather trousers. Notably, she wears a golden metal choker with the shape of a heart at the front, symbolising the nickname given to her by her squadron. Rylee’s ears are also pierced. When piloting her starfighter Rylee adorns a flight suit and has been known to keep a blast vest onboard for use depending on where she has travelled to for greater protection.

Attributes

As a pilot, Rylee has exceptional dexterity being able to react in split seconds to events occurring in battle. Having served in the Pantoran military for several years she is also an experienced soldier with combat knowledge and capable in blaster combat. Although she is in fighting shape and by no means of weak constitution, due to her relatively short stature she cannot be considered the strongest and as such would not fare well in a test of brute strength. Therefore, she would have to rely on speed, precision and dexterity in melee combat. Rylee’s intelligence is average, but she is resourceful and able to improvise – particularly when it comes to mechanics. She is a good-looking individual whose looks could be considered deceiving as the average person might not expect someone like her to engage in piracy for example, regardless of her motives and views on the matter.

Personality

Rylee has a particular sense of what is right and wrong. This is exemplified by her stance on piracy. She chooses only to steal from criminals who are known to have acquired goods or amassed wealth unlawfully to begin with so that the proceeds can be given back to those in need on her home planet of Pantora. She believes she is justified in her actions as it is for a good cause and that criminals cannot be considered victims – though of course taking the law into her own hands is a grey area as far as the Sector Rangers are concerned. She would consider herself to be a compassionate person with good intentions, but most certainly has a violent side when it comes to dealing with criminals, having no sympathy for them at all.

From a young age she has always been enamored with space travel and admired the pilots of her home world which ultimately determined her career path. She is loyal to Pantora and her military comrades, neutral towards the idea of the Free World’s Alliance but skeptical of the idea of a Republic due to the historic failures of the Old and New Republics.

She herself is enthusiastic, fun-loving, and charming. Though she finds it hard to stomach people who seek to harm innocents, Rylee tries to get along with most people she meets. She is also interested in fashion, as indicated by her choice in clothing and accessories. To give an indication of her accent, the way she speaks is like a South African accent (in keeping with the Pantorans in Clone Wars).

Biography

Born on Pantora in 114 ABY, Rylee was fascinated by the idea of space travel since she was a youngling and idolised the star pilots of her home world. This continued into her teenage years when she felt compelled to join the Pantoran military, a decision that was solidified when she found out that a teenage crush of hers (a boy named Chari Molidias) had enrolled as a cadet. Believing this to be her calling – to see the stars alongside the boy she had strong feelings for – she put her heart and soul into becoming a competent and reliable soldier, later going on to specialise as a pilot in order to make her dreams a reality. Rylee passed all her examinations, excelling in piloting and space combat owing to her keen interest in this area, whilst meeting the standards of a professional soldier and graduated alongside Chari and the other cadets.

Rylee has served in the Pantoran military for several years. Her assignments often meant that she engaged in conflict with enemies of Pantora, whether that be wars fought by the Pantorans or their allies, quashing those that rebel against the Pantoran Assembly or vanquishing the sector of criminals and in doing so, aiding the Sector Rangers. Over the years she has had to learn to cope with loss, having seen numerous comrades perish in battle. The most difficult of which was learning that Chari had perished during a skirmish with bounty hunters working for the Hutts who had opened fire on his ship as they tried to force a path through the sector. She had never quite plucked up the courage to tell him how she felt about him before he died, and she felt a great deal of shame and regret as a result.

Owing to Pantora’s position in the Outer Rim, Rylee frequently saw that criminal organisations would pass through, leaving death and destruction on Pantora’s doorstep and making plenty of wealth as they did so. Chari’s death had a profound effect on Rylee and her sense of justice began to change. Upon openly discussing it with other members of her squadron, she found that they too harboured similar feelings on the matter. The soldiers decided they could no longer stand witnessing villainous scum profiting from the despair of innocent people and turned to organised piracy. Under the guise that they were carrying out their military duties, Rylee and her squadron would set upon targets that they knew through military intelligence were criminal and rob their ships, stealing whatever ill-gotten money or resources they had aboard and impounding the ship, escorting the haul back to Pantora where they would then deliver the cargo to those in poverty and dire need rather than following protocol. Although tasked with arresting crews and confiscating ships and cargo on these missions, Rylee and her squad would use excessive force, often ensuring that the ships crew were dead before secretly escorting the goods planet side. The mission logs would then be faked, with the squadron reporting that the ship was destroyed as a result of an ensuing skirmish and owing to the status of the people they kill, no questions have yet been asked.

The feeling that she is doing her home world a service by ridding the galaxy of scum and donating their ill-gotten gains to the people of Pantora is what drives Rylee, though in part she feels she is also doing what she can to avenge Chari’s death. She continues her vigilante activities to this day and although it has gone unnoticed by the wider Pantoran Military, news of pirates operating in the sector is unlikely to go unnoticed by the Sector Rangers and retaliation from the crime syndicates is inevitable.

Skills

Rylee is a professional star pilot. Flying is first and foremost her main skill having been trained in the Pantoran military and served her home world for several years. She is an expert in piloting various vehicles ranging from starfighters to larger spacecraft and speeders. During this time she also received a thorough education in repairing starships and keeping up their maintenance. In addition, her military training also required her to be proficient in the use of firearms. Though she favours space combat, Rylee is proficient in ground combat and has the knowledge and skill to fight in hand-to-hand combat and with blasters – usually medium range or pistols. In more recent times she has also become more resourceful and picked up a few tricks through her exploits as a pirate, such as using her fusion cutter tool to break into places or as a melee weapon.
