Theme

Lucian was a big supporter of the Republic getting stuck in with more missions and such, even though he was now a Jedi and no longer a Republic officer. In the end, he was both the Republic officer he had been trained to be and the Jedi Knight he had since become.

And part of that?

Well part of that meant that he was sometimes a little bit conflicted... but fighting the Cartel was hardly something he felt conflicted about. They were scum no matter what part of him was doing the talking and that was just how it was.

And besides, he didn't think anyone was going to have any kind of objection to him freeing prisoners from the Cartel.

The war hadn't been going on long so this was actually one of the first prisoner transfers to the facility on Ryloth and Lucian had only heard about it by hanging around with some of the slaves on Ryloth.

And a female security guard who got talkative after a night of company.

He had even gotten himself a partner for this job.

"Alright, there's going to be three transports of twenty prisoners each coming in within the next twenty minutes." he told her as he crouched down in his Jedi armour, looking down at the slave-processing facility that had been converted into a prisoner of war camp, "Any preference as to how we go about this, Isola?"

Loa one hundred percent thought she was being cheeky when someone was recruiting volunteers for this mission, however, it turns out they didn't think she was being cheek at all and promptly stuffed her with other Jedi on a transport to Ryloth. The girl debated about saying something, but promptly kept her mouth shut hoping no one would notice her being gone and thought perhaps she would make in time to be back without anyone realizing. Maybe...

She managed to find some jedi dueling armor, which felt awkward and heavy, as the girl was not in the least used to wearing something heavy over her clothing, it didn't help the armor was just a tad too big as she felt her body move inside the pieces before the pieces caught up with her turns. The dark haired girl was given orders to join a Jedi Knight by the name of Lucian Volante and for once, Loa felt her stomach turn with unease, her nerves getting the better of her as she took in a deep breath and refocused. If she were to be a jedi one day, she decided she better start acting like one. A Jedi does not fear, I shall not fear. She recited her mantra to herself as she joined the Knight, he was ready to go in and had briefed the girl on what they were doing.

Their journey to the camp wouldn't take long as they hid outside the detection perimeter getting a clear view of the camp as he informed there would three transports arriving soon. What Loa was not expecting was her input and she looked slightly shocked, but recovered, pursing her lips together in thought; if they were maybe releasing one or two, they could entirely be quiet about the process, however, twenty or more, it would be harder to hide as many. Her eyes scanned around the camp, "What if we take out those power generators there," she pointed quietly to the structure lodged in the granite rocks outside the facility, "Sixty or more people will be easier to locate if they can't see where they are going." suggested the girl.

Lucian was glad that Isola wasn't going to be silent throughout this mission and, in fact, seemed to be more than happy to come up with some ideas! Mainly because Lucian was rather bad at making up ideas that involved young children who's skills he didn't really know.

But hey, he had been put on this mission and she was a good kid as far as he knew.

Just had to make sure that she lived long enough to become a good young woman and, potentially, a good Jedi. He nodded in agreement at her plan however.

"I like it." he admitted, "It'll also allow us to get closer to the craft in question with the lights and defences out. We might even get into a position to steal the craft with the prisoners still on board so we can escape in them."

He frowned a little bit before pulling out one of his blaster pistol out from his holster and handing it to Isola. It was his XTZ pistol, the one that held ten lethal rounds and five stun rounds per power pack. She would be able to be a lot more versitile with such a weapon in her hands and he would still have his standard RJF sidearm should he need it.

"Here." he declared as he gave it to her, pointing out the switch, "Press that to change to stun and back again. Alright - let's get going."

Moving with stealth would be the key here - thankfully it was rather dark out so they didn't have any issues as they approached the generator. Looking it over, Lucian nodded to Isola as he pressed the emitter of his lightsaber right up against the generator so that activating it wouldn't show the blade.

"Keep an eye out."

With that, Lucian activated his lightsaber, the blade of which punctured cleanly into the generator's sensitive controls. As a safety function, this automatically began to power down the generator. After all, no manufacturer made generators that were meant to explode when there was a 'technical fault'.
