- INTENT -
To resurrect the S-100 Stinger starfighter from Legends canon for use in the RP. As there are implied to have been many Sith-Jedi and Sith-Republic wars in the history of this setting, I feel it would add depth to the setting to have a few examples of old war materiel from these prior conflicts available for people to use. Legends canon is an eminently lootable source for such items, and especially the Dark Horse comic books have some really interesting - if poorly documented - designs.
The Stinger itself - in Legends - was something like the X-Wing of its day, as well. Its design would be considered a "classic" by some. Though it would be considered obsolete in this setting, I also think it would make perfect sense for a craft built in such huge numbers to still be available.

- DESCRIPTION -
The S-100 Stinger-class starfighter is an aging snubfighter developed originally by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, and first put into service during the latter years of the Old Republic. Deployed as a front-line fighter in the later wars against the Sith, the Stinger was far more like its Sith opponents than any modern Republic or Jedi starfighter; it was designed for speed and maneuverability, but achieved such performance at the cost of shielding, hull strength and armament.

The Stinger was produced in huge numbers, and while very advanced in its day, it had flaws. Like contemporary (and even current) Sith fighters, it possessed only token deflector screens, and was constructed of light bondite, a readily available metal at the time but offering little in the way of structural rigidity or any kind of armor protection. It was also lightly armed, possessing only a pair of wingtip laser cannons and twin two-shot proton torpedo launchers.
In spite of these shortcomings, the Stinger was accepted into service. It was significantly faster and more maneuverable than many other starfighters of its day, and could easily match turns and speed with most contemporary adversaries. Moreover, its relatively light armament made it suitable both for export and civilian sales; it remained very popular with local planetary defense forces even after it was finally retired by the Republic military, and it enjoyed a cult following among civilian operators as a "sport" model.

After a long and storied career, the type was phased out by the Republic when more modern fighters with better power-to-mass ratios and armament became available, such as the Aeon-class interceptor and Haleon-class starbomber, at which time Stingers flooded the surplus market. Many were snapped up by backwater system defense forces and law enforcement agencies, where they often replaced even older models; the vast majority ended up in the Outer Rim, where they can still occasionally be found in military and paramilitary service, or as civilian "planet hoppers." Though still relatively fast and nimble, their weak armament and near-nonexistent shields make them easy prey for more modern machines.

A curious submission, but quite interesting. Just a few things;

On the intent section, you'll need to expand it per the technology rules (second bulletin).

Also:
ARMAMENT -
- 2x light laser cannon.

- 2x proton torpedo launcher, 2x torpedo/launcher
Is this a redundancy, or are you indicating this ship has two kinds of torpedoes?

I believe that's it's a magazine size. 2 proton torpedo launchers, carrying 2 torpedoes per launcher.

@Korvo @Loco

Thanks for the feedback! I've revised the intent section considerably, so hopefully that should explain my reasoning better.

As for the torpedo launchers, Loco is correct. It is two launchers, each with a magazine of two torpedoes, for a total of four.
