Charlotte’s perfectly manicured world has quickly spun out of control. The last moment of peace she’d known was that scintillating second of Celeste’s backside. Everything in her life had been disastrously downhill since. Celeste was captured. The Sith were chased from the Empire…she’d even failed to burn Byblos. Her plans to ensnare Weylin in her amorous arms still in full swing but honestly what the fuck was the point. Charlotte was adrift. There was no grand ladder for her to climb. Draugr was dead. Andruil still missing and now Celeste in custody. She could only hope the Senator did not betray her. Oh well…she would deny any such scandalous accusations.
She had come to Saleucami to try and recapture some of her lost magic. That predatory thump in her heart. So far, the chase had been dangerously boring. The world was idyllic but the people dreadful. Her mind spun on the possibilities. Perhaps another world to add to her collection. Yet there it was again. Why? Why was she doing anything?
The Consortium was safe enough for now. Her iron grip on the throne growing only stronger. Was it really worth painting a target on her back? Once she had plotted to eat the Free Worlds from within before reveling her true self. A grand welcome back into the Sith Order and seat among the lofty lords. That was all gone. Was she even a Sith anymore? She had no idea to where the living members had scattered or who even pretended to rule. The Empire clearly would not welcome her back with their Imperial Knights pretending they weren’t all bathed in blood and darkness. Better to accept what you are than play at a different part.
She sighed the weather was good…she did have that.
