DESCRIPTION
The latest addition to the catalogue of designs from the Bakuran Shipyards, is a luxury civilian transport ship designed and marketed to either high value clientele or for Diplomats. As part of the overall marketing strategy being deployed by Bakuran Shipyards and the Planet's government to bolster trade, the Salis D'aar has become the flagship of the Bakuran Defence Fleet operated diplomatic ships to be used by the Planet's Governor and other high level Senate officials.Designed with aesthetics, quality, and performance in mind, the Salis D'aar Class transport is a limited production luxury craft that has been introduced to the market as a competitive alternative to similar offerings produced by the likes of Nubia Star Drives, Latero Spaceworks and New Alderaan Royal Engineers. To test the market an initial run of two hundred have been produced, with ten being allocated for use by the Bakuran Defence Fleet for the transportation of the planet's dignitaries.
Boasting luxury accommodation of 6 individual suites, and simple but comfortable accommodation for up to 14 personal support or security staff. A spacious common lounge and entertaining space and medical bay facilities. The Salis D'aar is intended to be pilot for a new range of top-of-the-line vessels for civilian use. Additionally, it was also equipped with a powerful hyperdrive.
Whilst the ship is intended for Civilian use, due to it's intended clientele, it is not left without a means of defence, equipped with two turret mounted laser cannons situated at the aft of the dorsal hull and the forward ventral hall to act as a deterrent from any opportunistic pirate or raider attack. Complementing the defensive capacities of the ship, a Medium deflector screen is integrated into ships design to provide increased survivability for it's occupants. Should the defences be compromised - the transport has been provided with enough escape pods for all the ships passengers and crew.
LEGALITY
Legal. Though well equipped, the Sojourn-class shuttle is classified as a Civilian or Diplomatic transport; its affiliation with the Bakuran Government tends to allow for it to avoid scrutiny by most authorities.INTENT
