Hey everyone!

Name is Akyto, huge fan of the Star Wars universe but i must say it's my first crack at online RPG.
I'm quite excited/ nervous to get started. Will make sure i read all the rules and what not before i start posting as well. I'm also quite unsure which way i want my Character to go, Force sensitive or not...
(this is when you all flex your affiliations and tell me what to join..mouhaha.)

Indie characters are always fun, because you can send them on whatever story you want. Maybe start with an indie, set their story up and get a hang of em, and as time goes on see who they would feel most connected to and have them join that faction? Then again it's all up to you lol.

Also, welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy your time here and can get some good story stuff made. Best of luck to you with making a character too! Also have a gif for your arrival.

Welcome to SWRP @Akyto! Don't be nervous! Everyone is friendly here.

I suggest joining our discord. Even if you don't have discord right now, it's worth trying out! You don't even have to download it. You can try it out on your browser first. I think you'll get to know everyone a little easier through it that's why I suggest it.

Also check out the PM I sent you. It has lots of helpful information that you'll want to know. And if you end up having any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them.

Thank you both for the warm welcome! I do believe going Indie is the safest bet for me and will see where that brings me.

I was also thinking about starting my character presentation. Once i headed over to the threads to see how others were doing it, i must say i was slightly intimidated. Either every single person on here is really good with computers or i'm just that bad lol. Was super impressed with everyone's smooth presentation boxes and what not...(traits/abilities) is there a template of that i can manage to steal so i don't feel like too much of a noob? :P

Well, there's a few character templates you can use here.

It also goes over a bit of some basic code you can use in your character's posts and profile!

Code can actually be a really good way to bring posts to life, just be careful with it. The BBcode editor is nice because it doesn't break code, but it's also a bit of a pain on the eyes. The Rich Text Editor is nicer on the eyes and more sleek, but it can break code easily.

Most people usually write their code in notepad or another program, then transfer it over to check and see how it looks before they post.

I was in the same boat a little while ago, you see all the really nicely done profiles, and their rp posts and it can definitely be a little intimidating, but from my time here I've found that people are pretty helpful and willing to help, so don't be afraid to ask.(there's a lot to take in) and even if your rp talents are not as refined as some other posters, hey practice makes perfect and you'll get a handle on things, and people are always looking for more people to rp with, so don't be to hard on yourself. Have fun and hope you stick around.
