Salvaged War Suit

Though many refer to Sahren's armor as "The War Suit", in truth it is just an assortment of parts he put together from roaming Raxus over the years. Despite it's scrappy origins, the zabrak's true skills as a tinkerer shine through, as the final produce is what gave him the nickname "Armory" among the locals.

The Salvaged War Suit is a suit of heavy armor that incorporates several different alloys and weaves into different areas of the body. Perhaps the most recognizable piece of the suit is it's helmet, which is made from plastoid and taken from a set of Katarn-class Commando Armor from the Republic-era. This helmet comes with a handy visor that grants the wearer access to both low-light and thermal vision. The hands, forearms, and shoulders of the armor would be covered in thick durasteel plates. Meanwhile The thighs, shins, and feet would also be reinforced by duraplast from old mandalorian equipment. Finally, the chest and back pieces of the armor have a large plasteel plate on each side, which are partially covered by a bodyglove that is worn below all armor pieces but the chest and back.

The armor has heavy defenses, but it takes a lot more than defense to earn a name like armory. During his stay on Raxus, the mercenary picked up several powerful enhancements for his armor. Some he made himself, others he salvaged. Easily his best find was a classic jetpack, it was slightly smaller than most others of it's kind, but was clearly once mandalorian in design. The pack even contained a slot to attach ranged missiles, giving the mercenary a very destructive toy. This would be far from the only modifications the armor received, as it was also armed with a black-market wrist-rocket launcher on his left arm, salvaged similarly. The final crown jewel of the War Suit was the Pneumatic Fist he added to the armor's right arm, taken from the very man who killed his master.

LEGALITY

While not technically illegal, the vast number of weapons and devices equipped to an already bulky set of armor tends to attract attention from local authorities. Some more civilized worlds may request the armor be disarmed of explosives before it's wearer can go walking freely on the streets.

RESTRICTIONS
Only the Jetpack Missile restriction.

Functions

Function 1: Jet Pack

  • Jet packs are back mounted units used by elite troops increase their mobility on the battlefield. The jet pack's maximum speed is 50 kph and it carries fuel for up to five minutes of continuous flight (flight mode), but can also be fired in short bursts triggered by jumping (combat mode). The wearer can control the system to switch between modes and/or disengage it from their armor via wrist controls. These packs are cumbersome, adding an additional 8kg for the average human (larger individuals will have heavier jet packs to support their weight). While the fuel is stable enough not to explode, direct hits from weapons can trigger the system inadvertently, after which it is rendered useless.
Function 2: Jetpack Missile

  • Mounts a single-shot homing missile on top of the user's jetpack, which is powerful against vehicles, smallcraft, and massed targets . To fire effectively, the user would need to bend their torso forward so the missile is pointed at the target. The user can use a separate HUD function to lock onto targets, which would take three seconds to do so, or the missile can be dumb-fired. This weapon has a range of 500 meters and has simplistic guiding system, although this weapon is ineffective against individuals.
Function 3: Vision Modes

  • This Allows a Helmet HUD to cycle to low-light OR thermal vision modes.
Function 4: Wrist Rocket

  • Wrist rockets have a flight range of 100 meters and have a blast radius of 3 meters. They are single-shot devices and require manual reloading after use. They are effective against lightly armored vehicles, moving parts such as gears or hydraulics, and infantry, and do equivalent damage to a frag grenade. The must be manually fired by button or trigger.
Function 5: Pneumatic Fist

  • Essentially a bulky impact-fired jackhammer strapped to a user's forearm, the pneumatic fist is a deadly melee weapon. It has the force to knock an unarmored enemy off their feet, and even through armor the impact of the weapon can cause massive internal damage, and a hard swing can even take out small or weak doors. Impact mitigating technology protects the user from the weapon's kick. While you can hold weapons with the the same arm the Pneumatic Fist is on, this fist weapon can't be activated while doing so.
