Samara Draven

Samara Draven was a Chalactan female born on the Mid Rim planet of Chalacta during the era known as The Force Eternal. Raised by her adoring grandparents, peace and spiritualism were instilled in the girl from a young age as she studied at the Temple of Illumination alongside other Chalactan Adepts. Deeply empathetic and fiercely loyal to her people, Samara was unwilling to join the Jedi Order, despite the obvious manifestations of her ability in the Force.
All of that would change in 143 ABY, when her family's transport malfunctioned and was forced to make an emergency landing on Sith occupied Sullust. Days later, Samara would watch with horror as aerospace crawlers gunned down men, women, and children—their bodies torn to shreds at the orders of two Sith Lords. When the dust settled, it was the Jedi liberators that emerged victorious, but it didn't matter. Not to Samara. The fighting might have stopped, but the damage was irrevocable. Countless Sullustans lie dead, and there was nothing she could do about it.
Tears stained her cheeks as she held a nameless, dying boy in her arms, helpless to save him. He was no older than her, and yet he lie dying, the victim of a war he did not start. Silently, Samara vowed that she would never be helpless again. She would never stand on the sidelines while senseless war and violent men claimed the lives of the innocent. She watched with resolution in her eyes as the Sullustan troopers that had survived the fighting gunned down surrendering Sith troopers.
The Sith had shown no mercy, and no mercy would be given to them. She would make sure of that.
Due to her upbringing and training with the philosophical and mystic order of Chalactan Adepts, Samara possesses an increased resistance to mental manipulation and torture. Samara is deeply empathetic, in tune with nature and the people around her. Chalactans are peaceful and spiritual by nature, so the philosophy and teachings of the Jedi Order came naturally to Samara, but the teenager has been aware of a shift within herself ever since the battle of Sullust. A shift that, if encouraged, could greatly warp her Chalactan beliefs.
