Biography

Samira was unaware of how it came to be, that is, her life on Nar Shadaa. She was the daughter of a poor, exiled religious nun. Her father is unknown, but later DNA tests determined it was a Sephi man. The single mother and young Samira were able to scrape up enough to survive each day. While her mother regrettably dealt with gang members, Samira scavenged the streets. She would always excitingly return to show her mother how much she made selling junk. Samira loved her mother, and everyday they would pray together. Samira never understood who they were praying to and what for, but she believed it would pay off some day.

Unfortunately it did not.

A few months after Samira turned 13, her mother caught a terminal illness. They obviously did not have the money to afford treatment, and with her mother unable to work, their small income dropped a lot. There were days that Samira couldn't eat at all, since she had to use the little amount of money she made to take care of her mom. It didn't take long for the illness to take it's victim. For three days and three nights, Samira mourned, and eventually the landlord came to kick her out.

With no one to turn to, Samira joined in a petty street gang. She started out as a pickpocket and a spy. She was just a young girl, and it was the perfect cover. Although there were times she was caught stealing and brutally beaten for it. Once older, Samira was 'promoted' to a smuggler, or as she liked to call it: "pickpocketing planets". She was given a small ship and worked missions for the syndicates in the name of the gang she was apart of. It wasn't great money, but it was definitely more than before. However this new venture opened Samira's eyes to the galaxy. There was many opportunities out there, and her inner-child awakened.

With a few years of saving, Samira abandoned her gang and purchased her own ship. Samira's life was in her own hands, and she set sail to the galaxy. She still smuggled here and there, since a little bit of extra money never hurt. However, her main source of income came from selling trinkets and artifacts to the wealthy, and it was a lot of money. Sure it came with trouble every now and then, but Samira needed some risk in her life. Officially Samira works for the galactic museum in Coruscant, but that's more so for legal reasons. She still does work for them when needed, but the real money is elsewhere.


Personality

Samira is cold, and fairly aggressive. In her own words "I handle business, not people." She is very cunning as well, and will use people to her own advantage.

She loves to tease and make jokes in her own way, usually very snarky and rude. This erases when she is selling an item to a noble or a person of wealth, since Samira knows the importance of getting on the good-side of powerful people.



Skills & Powers:

  • Pickpocket: Samira could easily steal a wallet or any small object in someone's pocket given the right circumstance.

  • Detective: Searching ancient temples and tombs isn't an easy task. Samira is able to properly observe her surroundings and use what she sees as an advantage.

  • Acrobatics: There are many traps and obstacles in areas that Samira explores. She can flip through to avoid and reach certain places.

  • Martial Artist: Samira has some training in the art known as Karada Seigyo although she is far from a master. However, she has enough overall fighting experience to hold her own against many non-force user foes.

  • Survivor: Being alone has taught Samira many skills. She is a capable hunter and has solid knowledge on edible plants. She can create a fire on her own, knows basic first-aid, and is able to create her own shelter if needed.
