Strength■■■■■■■■■■Dexterity■■■■■■■■■■
Constitution■■■■■■■■■■Intelligence■■■■■■■■■■
Wisdom■■■■■■■■■■Charisma■■■■■■■■■■

Strength: Sara is not the most physically strong person. She is strong enough to hold her own, but there are many who dwarf her own strength.

Dexterity: Dexterity is where Sara truly shines. She is fast, agile and flexible. Her dexterity is what makes her such a competent melee combatant.

Constitution: Although Sara is a healthy, fit person, she is not strong enough to be able to take a huge beating. She is not a stalwart protector that stands before her enemy, taking all the punishment they dish out and refusing to fall. No, she must instead rely on her agility, dexterity and smarts to best her opponents. She does, however, possess a high stamina and can keep on going where others would fall from exhaustion. This trait comes from both her strong force of will and her own healthy, fit physical state.

Intelligence: Sara is very smart. Due to her weak strength in the force and her average physical strength, she has had to employ other methods to best her opponents. One of these is her brain.

Wisdom: Although she is a Jedi, Sara is not very wise. She is headstrong and passionate, a combination that is not at all Jedi-like. She struggles constantly with her innately passionate nature, and sometimes she loses this battle.

Charisma: Sara has never been good with people. When she was younger, if someone insulted or teased her, she attacked them, sometimes verbally and sometimes physically. Although she is smart, she does not at all have a way with words.

Force Powers:
Force Push
Force Pull
Force Leap
Force Speed
Force Sight
Force Sense
All the other basic Force powers I'm forgetting :P.

Skills:
Force User
Melee Combatant

Lightsaber/Sword Forms:
Of all the Lightsaber forms, Ataru has always called out to Sara. To someone such as her who is weak in the Force and has trouble with any advanced Force power, but who excels in melee combat, Ataru is like a saviour. Not only does it suit her more aggressive and passionate nature, but it also allows her to use the Force in a way that feels natural and right. Using the Force to aid her in combat and to overcome her physical weakness against male opponents and physically stronger female opponents has always felt natural to her, and it is the only form she has truly mastered. She understands the other forms, but Ataru is by far her best.

Personality:
Deep down, Sara is ruled by passion, a trait that she sees as her greatest obstacle. She has a passionate, headstrong and willful nature that she struggles against constantly. If she were not so dedicated to the Jedi; if she did not believe in their cause and in her own part within it, she probably would have been overcome very easily by her passions. However, she refuses to let such a thing happen. The possibility of becoming a Jedi is what gave her life purpose and it is something she has clung to all these years, even after the destruction of Coruscant. For this very reason she fights her battle willingly. She struggles against her passions day in and day out with a willing stride, for she knows that to conquer them is to truly be a Jedi, and to succumb to them is the way of the Sith, and that is something she will never let herself become.

Sara is not very good at interacting with people. She is nice to those that are nice to her and quite willingly obeys chains of command, but she possesses very little skill in diffusing a situation. She learned quite a bit about this from the Jedi she found herself among on Naboo in the first few years after the destruction of her home world, and over the ten years since it happened has learned to appear outwardly calm, but inner peace still eludes her. In fact, instead of becoming calmer as she has grown older, she has only grown more passionate. Or rather, her passions have risen closer to the surface. These passions are almost always directed at one particular group. The Sith.

Outwardly, Sara rarely displays the signs of her deep inner turmoil. Over the years, physical exertion has begun doing less and less to calm the young Jedi. Where once she could throw all her worries, fears and passions away simply by sparring or training, now she cannot. In the last ten years, she has grown restless. Staying in one place too long or being inactive for too long a period easily begins grating on her nerves. The stereotypical serenity all Jedi are believed to possess eludes her these days. She is instead driven by one major motivation: revenge. Not just for herself, but for everyone the Sith have ever hurt. It is not a very Jedi-like view of things, but it is how she has managed to survive. Sara’s main goal in life now is to bring the Sith crumbling down forever more, no matter the cost to herself. Guhoo Armstrong, the man she spent most of her time around on Naboo, often expressed his concerns in relation to this particular viewpoint, but it is not something she is easily dissuaded from. It is a dangerous line of thought, and if not for her belief that she is destined to be a Jedi and her abhorrence of the Sith, she may very well have fallen to the Dark Side after Coruscant’s destruction. As it stands now, she continues to walk that fine line between Light and Dark, forever performing a delicate, dangerous balancing act.

Possessions:

Necklace depicting a flower

Biography:
Sara, born to a prostitute on Coruscant, has been an orphan all her life. Her father, just one of many customers, has never been known to her, and her mother died giving birth to her. The brothel her mother belonged to, unwilling to raise a child none of them could call their own, instead left her on the doorstep of the closest orphanage, swaddled in a blanket with a necklace around her neck. The item wasn’t worth much, and simply depicted a flower.

She remembers nothing of the orphanage, for at age two a Jedi arrived, taking her away from that place and relocating her to the Temple of Coruscant. She may have been weak in the Force, but she still had the potential to become a Jedi, if only barely. For as long as she can remember, Coruscant’s Jedi Temple has always been her home. She was raised there; she was trained there and taught there. Everything she knows about anything was learned inside that temple. It always has been and always will be her home.

Sara was trouble for her teachers from the beginning. As a child she was wilful, headstrong and passionate. She refused to let others tease her or make fun of her and get away with it; she argued with them, fought them, and threw tantrums. In the words of her late master, “Your personality is too strong for your own good. If you are not careful, it will be your downfall.” Over time, however, she learned. She learned to control her passions via frequent meditation, and when she began learning about combat, she learned to control and dissipate her passions through physical exertion. Becoming a Jedi was the only life she had ever envisioned; the only life she had ever wanted, and nothing would stop her from achieving her goal. That was what she told herself every time she began fearing that her attitude would cost her the chance of becoming a Jedi.

As the years passed and she grew older, Sara found her calling. Lightsaber combat. Where she struggled to grasp anything but the most basic of Force Powers, she excelled at fighting, and the moment she first fought in the Ataru Form she knew it was her own. The Lightsaber form called to her like nothing else ever had. Where the other forms simply allowed her to utilise a skill she was naturally talented at, Ataru, through its use of the Force to enhance, aid and guide the user, allowed her to take something she was ordinarily bad with and employ it in a way that made her feel as if she was finally using it effectively. She decided, after using it only once, that she would master Ataru; that she would take it and transform her novice, ungraceful actions in to things of beauty and grace.

A Twi’lek Jedi Knight by the name of Nawara Tal’var quickly noticed her love of this form and took it upon himself to instruct her further in it. It was his own form of choice, and as such he could teach her things about it that others couldn’t.

Sara trained nearly every day. If she was feeling stressed, she sparred with someone, and if she couldn’t find anyone to spar with, she trained by herself, practicing and perfecting the movements of Ataru. If she had nothing to do, she trained. Any time she could spare to train her combat abilities she took. Time progressed quickly this way and the outside world as well as the galaxy beyond passed her by unnoticed.

Eventually, at age fourteen, Sara participated in the Initiate Trials. She passed, the only part that troubled her being the use of Force Powers. Within a week Nawara Tal’var had made her his Padawan. Over the years the two had developed quite the connection, and thanks to the Twi’lek Jedi’s efforts, along with her own natural talent, Sara was extremely proficient in the Ataru Lightsaber Form. Although he continued to train her in Ataru, once she was his Padawan he began broadening her horizons, slowly teaching her about all the other forms. She of course already knew of them and knew how to use each one at a basic level, but she had spent so much time focusing on Ataru that she had neglected others. He sought to remedy this, and so over the next two years Sara spent a lot of her time learning all of the other forms. Her Master believed that if her main focus was to be melee combat, she should at least be somewhat proficient in each Form.

Unfortunately, her training was left incomplete, as all too soon the Battle of Coruscant arrived. Her Master refused to let her fight beside him, despite all of her protests. He insisted that she retreat; that a Padawan should not be exposed to such things as what was about to happen. She pretended to do as her master bid, but the moment she was a decent distance from him, she disobeyed. She couldn’t in good conscience abandon the planet that had been her home her entire life. She simply couldn’t leave her home to be ravaged and occupied by the Sith. It went against everything she believed in. And so she disobeyed. She slipped away from the Jedi that were retreating, moving alone through the city. Over the course of the battle, she gained her first actual combat experience. She fought Mandalorians and Sith alike, but she did not fight alone. Not for very long. Before too long she met up with a band of Alliance soldiers. They didn’t question her age or the Padawan braid she wore. They simply saw a Lightsaber and welcomed her to join them.

As the battle drew on and she continued to fight, she realised why her master had insisted on her going with the Jedi that retreated. As she fought a losing battle and as she was forced to retreat time and again, it all became clear. He had known the most likely outcome. He had known he would probably die, and his last act as her master was to ensure she did not meet the same fate he did. That way he could die knowing his pupil was safe. And she had disobeyed. If she weren’t in the process of fighting for her life, she would have felt ashamed. Instead, she simply felt anger. Anger, fear and hatred. Anger at the Sith for invading her home. Hatred for the invaders as she watched men and women cut down in droves. Fear as she realised she would probably be among them in a very short time.

After one particularly bloody encounter, one in which she’d lost the remainder of the band of Alliance soldiers she’d joined, Sara stumbled upon a ship. After only a few questions she discovered this ship’s purpose. It was a smuggling vessel that was taking aboard anyone who had not already evacuated. Finally, after what had felt like hours of fighting, she did what her master had first urged her to. She fled.

In the ten years that have passed since the fall of her home planet, Sara has done many things. On the flight from the planet, she met the Jedi Councillor Guhoo Armstrong and the former Senator of Naboo, Serra Talorae, and after much discussion, ended up accompanying both of them back to Naboo, where she stayed for only three years before moving on. While there, she learned much, as Guhoo and herself were not the only two Jedi upon the planet.

No matter how much she learned, though, and how many Jedi were around her, the young woman couldn't help the feelings that began to grow within her. One was already there, a product of the death of her home. The other was new, and something that she still possesses to this very day. Hatred and restlessness. A dangerous combination that quite often leads to foolhardiness. If not for her Jedi training it very well may have done the same to Sara. Even with her training, she still couldn't stand it. Her passionate, willful nature eventually overcame her, and despite the disapproval leveled at her from the many Jedi around her, she left. She took her lightsaber, her packed away Jedi robes, the small amount of Credits she had, and her simple necklace, and she left.

The next seven years, the young Padawan didn't stay in any one place for more than six standard months. Six months was about the time it took for the restless beast within her to stir, and whenever it did she departed whatever life she had begun to build for herself.

In the first couple of years, the reckless Padawan courted danger in a foolhardy fashion that, if there were any justice, would have gotten her killed for her stupidity. Even though the Imperium was actively hunting down Jedi, she stayed close to the border of Imperial space, walking around in plain site for any random Sith to find. Although it was a stupid thing, this decision did teach her one valuable thing that actually managed to keep her alive in the coming years. It taught her how to remain hidden, no matter where you were. In plain site, in a dark, abandoned building, even while showing off and making a scene, for who would expect a Jedi, a member of a group being hunted, to cause a scene and act charismatic? No one.

Despite all this, however, it wasn't skill that kept her alive. It was sheer, dumb luck. Multiple times she came within sensing distance of what she assumes to this day, but never truly found out, was a Sith, and yet she was never sensed by them. For that, she only had Guhoo Armstrong to thank, for he had insisted on teaching her how to mask her presence in the Force before allowing her to leave Naboo.

Sara wandered like this, slowly heading further and further from Imperium space, until she found herself on the planet of Bakura, in the capital city of Salis D'aar. Here she stayed for five months. The thought of leaving was just beginning to fill her mind when she was stumbled upon by none other than Jedi Master Juno Armstrong, the sister of the one that kept her safe after the Fall, as she'd started to think of it. And that is where her story once more began to involve the New Jedi Order.

This is a very good profile one of the best I've seen from a new member! Your character has a good balance of strengths and weaknesses and a goal that she has set for herself. I'm very intrigued to see you RP you seem to be a well thought out writer. The only thing I would recommend changing is your 10/10 on Dexterity, while it is what your character is best at, a 10/10 would be a contortionist with no skeleton. :P So maybe consider taking it down a bit. But other than that this is a great profile, very well written.

That's a very good idea and I think I will change that. I really just put 10/10 because it's her main focus in combat and the thing she relies on the most to come out of a fight on top. But yeah, 10/10 is probably a little much :p.

Also, thanks!

Wow, I didn't expect to see a character with quite reasonable powers. Nice.
I hope she enjoyed the destruction of Coruscant :D

Yeah, I try to make sure my characters are reasonably balanced, but I'm always afraid of making them too powerful. Sometimes this results in me making them too weak, however. Most of the time I like to think it results in a decently balanced character and I'm hoping Sara is one of these.

That depends on your definition of "enjoyed" I suppose... :p

I've always struggled with it as well. I tend to think of my character within my species and their particular profession but most people prefer it to be a comparison of everyone in the galaxy, so a 10/10 would be the best of the best.

That's a good attitude. Weaker characters are much more fun to play than the strong one who can defeat anyone.

Thank you! Yes I am ready ^_^. I'll make sure to sign up for them after typing out this post :D

I tend to decide based on the kind of character I'm creating and what lifestyle/body build they have. Sara, for example, spends most of her days training in a physical capacity and eats healthily, which is why her constitution is up higher instead of being lower. It isn't that she can take a beating - because she can't, really - it's that she has endurance and stamina from all her physical exertion and her healthy diet. At the same time, however, her strength is rather low despite her constant physical training due to the kind of slim build she has and the kind of training she does.

That's a good attitude. Weaker characters are much more fun to play than the strong one who can defeat anyone.

They sure are! There's nothing quite like being the weaker underdog that has to fight tooth and nail for every little victory.

Another aggressive Ataru character with a focus on dexterity? She'd probably get along well with Anya.

I finally got around to beginning to update her. I cleaned up the attributes section and generally made it neater, and updated her personality. I'll begin working on her history and should hopefully post that soon, too.
