I guess this is my first step back down the rabbit hole, ready to jump into the new timeline.
I guess I'll used this first post as a WIP for the new incarnation of Saul. This Saul is going to be a lot less militaristic and more on the lines of how he was originally planned, something of a swashbuckler spacer hanging around slums taking down gangs or drug rings, ect. An odd foil for this timeline, but I actually think playing a character that's not all gung ho about leaving civilians to die to go on crusade, and probably getting judged for it, will be quite entertaining.
Saul Perth
NAME: Saul Perth

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes
STRENGTH: Saul is only slightly stronger than an average human male of his size due to harsh physical training, however he lacks the bulk and raw power typical of career soldiers.
DEXTERITY: Even among other Jedi, Saul has excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. In a straight line sprint however, he is only average for a Force user.
CONSTITUTION: Saul's training and light build allow him to be highly physically active for extended periods without tiring, although his relatively small frame provides little raw defense against physical damage.
INTELLIGENCE: Although sharp witted and a quick thinker, the majority of Saul's instruction has been in the form of "learning by doing", leaving little time to study from a textbook and build a reserve of general knowledge.
WISDOM: Always paying attention to his surroundings and well in tune with his natural instincts, Saul is usually in a state of high awareness. This has lead to him being somewhat overconfident at times though, at times relying on nothing but his own luck to get him through.
CHARISMA: Although a little awkward at first due to the odd arrangement of growing up with the Jedi, as Saul progressed in his career he found himself among the general population on assignments. Although he's still not the smoothest talker, Saul's developed a fair knack at using a quick joke or a well placed smile to turn a conversation in his favor.
PERSONALITY:
Saul boasts a rather lighthearted personality, even as his line of work sends him into the most wretched hives of scum and villainy the galaxy has to offer. He's devoted to helping the people that truly deserve it, and he doesn't bat an eye if a few rules need to be broken to get the job done. His natural instincts and willingness to spontaneously follow his gut make him act rashly at times, but his quick actions have saved both his own life and the lives of others many times over.
BIOGRAPHY:
Like most Jedi, Saul was taken from his family when he was very young. His file in the temple archives says he was raised by a single mother on Nar Shaddaa, but contains little helpful information. New Jedi are supposed to leave behind their former lives, and lingering memories are anathema to the separation process.
As a boy in the temple, Saul used to sneak in old action holos set in the outer rim to watch at night. The people in the movies always fascinated him, standing alone against all the terrors that would plague his projection. He wanted to grow up and become a hero, helping those without huge armies, massive fleets, or planetary shields to protect them, just like in the movies.
FORCE POWERS:
Saul is less adept at directly utilizing the Force than most other Knights, and when he does attempt to actively manifest his powers, the result usually lacks focus.

SKILLS:
Saul is a impressive gunfighter, and is skilled enough to accurately utilize two pistols at the same time. His reflexes and instincts also make him a crack pilot, although he is generally reliant on a droid for the more in depth mechanical aspects of a ship. Over the last few years Saul has also become quite versed in several bar games, not the least of which is called "drinking". He's also self proclaimed to be "pretty good" at twirling his pistols around.
LIGHTSABER FORM:
When Saul uses his lightsaber, he typically favors a personal style, resembling something of a fusion of the basics of Soresu and Niman. It is quite simplistic, some might say sloppy, due mostly to Saul never actually practicing.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Saul's most glaring weaknesses are his relative lack of physical strength and subpar selection of Force powers when compared to other Jedi. He makes up for this by trusting in his mind and endurance, playing the long game until a more physically dominating foe tires out or makes a mistake. Saul also utilizes a number of tactics unexpected of a Jedi such as using blasters, explosives, or sneak attacks.
CLOTHES: Saul wears clothing that gives the appearance of a spacer or smuggler, favoring a pair of weathered black boots, dark denim pants, grey undershirt and a black leather flight jacket. Although appearing simple, Saul's jacket is lined with armor mesh that can stop a knife, shrapnel, or a light hit from a blaster pistol. Many pockets are also hidden inside, including a couple sized to contain and conceal a holdout blaster and lightsaber respectively.
LIGHTSABER: Saul's lightsaber consists of a simple hilt with rubberized grips housing an cyan focusing crystal. If required, the weapon can be concealed within a functional stun baton, although it takes some time to disassemble the baton to remove the saber.
BLASTERS: Exactly what blasters Saul has on his person changes about as often as the day, but he's never without at least a pistol on each hip, usually with a small holdout blaster concealed in his jacket as well.

MISC EQUIPMENT: In addition to the above equipment, Saul also makes use of a small set of security spikes and manual lock picks hidden in his boots, as well as a vibro dagger usually tucked in his jacket.
