  • In addition to her rather youthful visage, Sayla has a rather light appearance for that of a Darksider. Standing at almost half a foot over five, and not weighing a considerable amount, she doesn't create an imposing aura based off of physical appearance either. Her hair, both on the top of her head, and in her thick eyebrows, are a smooth, dirty blonde pigment. This, along with her calm, green eyes, show dissonance from the empire that she is associated with.
While most of the Darksiders similar to her have taken on corrupted appearances and dark, dreary clothing, the dirty blonde's general appearance seems almost similar to that of a Jedi. Her appearance is not to be mistaken, however; like many other Darksiders, the rage-seething appearance of yellow during her more passionate fits shows her true alignment in the Force.
  • Once a wise pupil of the Jedi Order, a dark hand was slowly placed over the bright future of Padawan Sayla Valis. It started small; little temptations, or inconsistancies between her training and her actions, but quickly grew into a looming distrust for the ideals she had been trained her whole life to uphold. No longer a true, pure Jedi, the force wielder continued to train under her master in hopes of learning what little she believed was left for her of those who called themselves 'light,' all while delving deeper into the raw emotion that fueled a power she never knew that she had- a power that would corrupt her beyond saving.
Eventually, her Master saw through the thin veil that separated light from dark within the girl, and her ideals shattered- fracturing her into any Jedi Master's worst nightmare. This fracturing was not only internal, as it splintered out to those around her. In her final days, her Master tried to stop her from traveling the path she was set on, but their efforts were too little, too late. In a final confrontation, Sayla wounded another Padawan in a fit of emotion, and truly sealed her fate.
Expelled from the Jedi Order, her distrust quickly became hatred. Feeling free for the first time, Valis continued her studies of the Dark Side of the Force, feeding her internal desire for more power, and letting its dark impulse slowly creep farther into her mind.
Now an Exile, rather than a Jedi, Sayla continued to hop from planet to planet, swindling and taking what she needed to continue what she called her 'research.' Eventually, news reached her of an Empress in the Twin Worlds who wished to unite the scattered darksiders into a coherient Sith Empire. Currently, she seems interested in finding out more about this 'Sith Empire,' and what it could mean for her. However, she has not yet made any significant steps towards this, seeming more interested in her own research at the moment.
  • Sayla's personality, just like her appearance, are not typical of an Exile. Outwardly, she shows very little 'free' rage and almost no constant anger. In fact, she shows very little outward emotion at all, in many cases. However, this should not let one be fooled: Sayla's heart is still muddied with the same dark power and hatred for the Jedi Order that plagues the rest of the Exiles.
Viewing the dark side like a wild beast that must be caged and controlled, rather than a power to give yourself to, like many Exiles believe, this young woman prefers to keep her distance from the dark side, while still using it to her advantage. Whether or not her belief that she is successful in maintaining her 'real' self is true, or not, however, is not clear. It is entirely possible that a naïveness of the full power of the dark side allows her to be controlled more than even she herself knows.

  • Ruin Exploration — Sayla meets an odd fellow at an abandoned Jedi Temple on Antar 4. [LINK] ● (Cancelled)
