The scan for opportunity.

Glitzy setting

It was so hard to find a dark place on this damn moon. A place that wasn't bathed in light for the million signs that were absolutely kriffing everywhere. And once you finally did find that one that could work as a possible place to sleep it was often filled. With a dead body, a shady deal going on, or a bunch of disgusting trash. N'ah just couldn't on this damn moon. So now he got to be up a creek with no funds and no friends and be sleep deprived. Again.

Holding his arching stomach N'ah sighed and looked over the arrival dock again from his perch about forty feet off on a supply crate he was sat on. He was hoping from some of kind of injured person to be brought here. Anything that he could rush over and help. He was tired but he could still heal a person. He could do most injuries in his sleep at this point. That would get him some money. Or some kind of damaged droid or speeder. Something...anything. Anything for some funds and food. But like yesterday so far there had been nothing. It was mostly drunk looking arrivals that were heading either to the small Casino or the Cantina on this damn platform.

He would stay here for a little longer...before going back to the far end of the platform to look through the metal cast offs again. Maybe he could find something in there to sell at the junker. But that was always a risk because he would have to find something whole. All he had were basic wrenches and spanners and nothing to cut off something big to sell. He always wasn't the only one that frequented that place and was the smallest of the scroungers. Kriffing....ugh.

Holding his growling stomach again the Kushiban growled before focusing back on the arrival point. He didn't want to have to sell the few tools or medical supplies he had left but hed have to if he didn't find anything else today. Or his shock baton but then hed only be able to run from issues besides trying to scare them off. Damned Hutt Cartel leaving him behind like this!

Lights and colors flooded Dravien's vision as he opened his eyes. At first, the crowded flow of force energy overwhelmed his newly opened senses to the force. Slowly he grew accustomed to the feeling. The feeling drowned out his rage. That would serve him well-as much as anger was his strength, it was a weakness too. A low profile was best for now.

Moving away from the wall he was leaning against, he started to continue down the crowded pathways. The time was nearing. The Sith was not on Nar Shadaa for mere gambling or slaves like much of the filth. His purposes lied elsewhere.

As Dravien continued, he noticed a Kushiban rummaging about. Nearly grimacing at the creature, a thought crossed his mind. He approached nonchalantly and without menace. Getting the kushiban's attention, he gestured the creature over.

In a friendly tone, the Sith started, "You look like you could use some work. I might have something for you...I promise it will be more lucrative than...your current situation."

Dravien kept an open stance towards the kushiban, but kept his distance. He didnt want to be attacked by some rabid creature.

orly?

Finally giving up as it had been twenty minutes of no speeders at all arriving N'ah got back up on the crate he was sat of and hopped down on all fours. Scampering away from the main throng of people and back towards the scrap part of the platform. His annoyed grumbles making him totally miss the figure following him.

Sliding to a stop he stood back up on his back legs as he rubbed his temples to help his eyes adjust to less light here before his left side ear flicked and turned. Someone was coming. Turning to look at them his right hand moved to his backpack to reach for the stun baton if he needed to 'quickly' deploy it. Or it would be time to run. After seeing the oddly cloaked man standing there beckon him over N'ah had some serious doubts about this. He didn't look trustworthy at all. But...kriff it. He needed anything at this point. So he walked over on his back legs since it thankfully wasn't too far before crossing his arms and looking up the Human. Little Kushiban glow eyes slightly narrowed at him.

"Oh do you now? Do you need a droid repaired or a wound patched because that I can do for you for pay. If you need me to cheer up some young kid who lost their expensive toy then you'll need to look elsewhere mate." Hopefully the Human wasn't expecting an obedient little fluff cause he very much wasn't going to get one. But N'ahs attempted tough guy first impression was lessened a few notches as his stomach growled again and he bent over a little before trying to straighten up.

Dash flew his freighter through the outer rim in an attempt to avoid anyone who wanted to steal what he was carrying. He was running low on scrap and managed to build an astromech droid, a probe droid, and two combat droids which still needed calibrating. He was looking for junkyards on nearby planets where he could salvage some of the scrap.

A glowing moon came into view, covered with signs advertising everything from ship repairs to droid merchants to arms dealers. Dash decided to save his credits and landed the vessel in a less populated area where only signs dotted the horizon, unlike the sea of neon that was everywhere else. Piles of metal scrap lay nearby, unsearched and full of useful things.

“M2, Start putting the nearby metal into crates.” Dash commanded. The droid got up and picked up a few crates by their skids and carried them toward the scrap. Dash looked around himself and was able to find a probe exploration droid, much better than his makeshift one that he planned on selling. He kept it and kept looking. He found quite a few droid parts as well as a few blasters that he immediately sold at the nearby shops.

When he returned he saw M2 in the ship laying down the crates, ready to go. He headed toward the ship when he heard a conversation nearby. He put on his helmet and grabbed his two pistols. He creeped around the corner to meet a Kushiban whereing a vest talking to Human in dark robes... perhaps a Sith? He kept his distance but continued listening.

The Sith nearly grinned. This one has some spirit, he thought. He didn't expect it from a rummaging creature like this, although he wasnt surprised. Even with the Kushiban's attitude, Dravien knew he had pull here. An empty stomach was a weakness.

"Not quite. I could use some help...retrieving some sensitive supplies from acquintances of mine," Dravien smirked, "I could give you some of my extra food rations as a down payment and a share of the supplies once the job is done."

Wooo stuff to do.

That sounded like a reasonable offer and a pretty normal job for him. But he held up his tiny paws and opened and closed them a few times. "Sure, not like I'm doing anything else. But see these? These can't really hold a rifle and snipe fools. I can throw grenades but not the best in a fight. Am I to be a distraction or a sneak or what Coaty?" A nick name already, how touching. "Also what supplies are we going for? Food? Slaves? What? We can go after I eat something so I don't collapse part way through."

it would be clear to the two Humans that this fluff despite appearances had seen some stuff with the callous nature he discussed slaves and supplies. But it kept being balanced by 'cute' beahavior. The Kush reaching up to rub and flick one of his long ears but he couldn't pick up an armored gun toting man out of all the other noises of this moon. Now back to arms crossed he looked Coaty up and down some more. "You seem competent though. We just need a game plan and we'l get this done easy. Also don't need a name if this is a one off thing that complicates matter Coaty." Confidence! Good.

Metropolis squatted slurping a bowl of noodles after having purchased an adhesive and a fragmentation grenade. He was on top of a crate stacked above the crowd's heads. He watched the mass of people go by, and as he did so listened to a conversation between a fuzzball and and some tall man. Mostly out of curiosity. He thought he may have noticed the furry species before, or maybe it had just been another species like them, but had never heard one speak, and had no idea what they called themselves.

At first Metro thought the tall dude was trying to scam the creature just offering him food for work, but when the tall dude asked to hire a stranger on Nar Shaddaa, without even learning anything about said stranger, Metro knew. The tall guy must be new to the moon. If anyone was running a scam on anyone, fuzzball was probably trying to run one on the tall guy. But he also couldn't rule out some other deeper level play, one he simply hadn't figured out. In any case he wasn't about to move on either one's game.

But Metropolis had been looking for a mechanic. On the other other hand, the creature looked down on his luck and he wasn't sure how great a mechanic he must be if he was. Of course there was a solution to all this. Metro could just try to read the furball's mind. He focused his own, reaching out his mental energies to grasp what the hairball's own mind was thinking. It would be difficult though. He had never tried to read the species' mind before. He didn't know what to expect.

Something broke his concentration though, as Metro noticed a Mandalorian moving suspiciously slow, weapons drawn. He seemed set on the other two though and was not moving in Metro's direction or even seemed to be aware of him. But he had lived on the moon long enough to know when things were about to go awry. If he was to see what the little creature could do, now was not the best time.

"Hey hairball. You any good?" Metropolis said loud enough to catch the hairball's attention. He took a business chip out of his jacket and tossed it towards him. Assuming it was a him. The chip had his company information on it. "Contact me. I pay credits." Metro turned back around to head to his airspeeder. He had decided to finish his noodles somewhere safer, assuming that could be found without leaving orbit.

Dash thought to himself, Do I try to call out the sith or do I help this poor furball? He decided to wait a while longer to see what the supposed sith needed help with. The mission the sith called for could be more dangerous than any of his encounters before, therefore it’s probably best not to jump right in.

Raising an eyebrow, Dravien thought, he seems like an arrogant one. He paid no heed to the man, however. Even with the mans offer, he was confident he had the Kushiban where he wanted. A starving stomach can't eat credits, and that was clearly on the furballs mind right now.

"I'll make sure you get something to eat beforehand. As for the job...lets say it includes retrieving sensitive information from some...aquintances of mine. While I am a warrior, I am not made for subtle work. There is only one thing of value to me; the rest is not of much concern. If you help me, I will make sure you are rewarded. You have my word."

As long as the vermin didn't double-cross him, he had no reason to lie. Dravien intentionally left out the specifics. He didn't bother to mention that his "acquintances" are an unsavory gang and the sensitive information is information on a holocron that only a Sith would have use for. Those bastards knew what they had and were going to charge him an exorbitant price for it. Now he would teach them not to play with fire.

Oh NOW everyone shows up.

The tiny glimpse into the fluffs mind before the concentration was broken would revel a lot of annoyance but also fear. Likely fear over this not working and the fluff being stuck again. But he was trying to cover the fear with attitude. Would be tricky to tell if the peak into him or the movement made the Kush look over at Polis but there was an ear facing his direction before he looked over fully and then catch the chip. Giving it a glance before he looked up again at the Human? But they were already walking off.

"Really mate?! Where were you and even YOU Coaty the last two weeks when I needed work and food and a place to not get mugged!?" Giving them both a point with his free hand before he ughed and slipped the card into his vest for later examining. Turning his full attention back to Dravien as he once again totally missed the Mandalorian. His eyes rolling at the mission was 'detailed' to him. It was pretty standard stuff but really did this guy have to be so vague? Its not like shady deals and murders weren't discussed openly on the street around here. Especially around these areas. So he spread out his arms and shrugged.

"How about, Coaty, we go and get that food and then you be a bit more specific yeah? I've been around this block more than once even though to you I may look like a kid. I'm not just going to jump to it with a 'you got is boss' when a deal has this many unknowns in it."

(Hes nicer once you get to know him I promise >.>)

Dravien grimaced at the Kushiban, "Now now, despite what you say you should know better than to talk like that to the wrong people. You should be careful with that mouth of yours, it could get you hurt," Dravien's expression lightened as he continued, "Now, I know a small cantina that is relatively cheap. Not the loveliest place in the world, but you can't complain when I'm feeding you, can you? By the way, my name is Dravien. Might as well know if we are working together"

The Sith finished, turning off and heading in the direction of the Cantina. He wanted to slap the words out of the Kushiban's mouth, but he let it go for now. Until he had no more use for the creature he wanted to stay on good terms.

Dash was concerned, for the Kushiban's sake. He knew something wasn't right and he didn't want it to go badly. He took note of the direction the sith was headed and slowly creeped away. He used his jetpack to reach the rooftops and tracked the pair as they worked their way to the cantina. He looked over and saw a man on top of some crates, sipping noodles, and starring right back at him. Pretty confused, the mandalorian holstered his blasters and waved a singled hand.

After the strange encounter, Dash folded his antenna down at the pair to hear in on the conversation. His brain kept branching out for every decision, thinking about every possible way this could go. Everything seemed unpredictable, almost as though the sith had fogged up his mind.

wehwehwe.

The open posture soon changed to hands on hips as N'ah leant forward a little. "How about no Dravien? I'm gona go with no. You clearly need me for something and you just saw someone else give me a job offer. So you need me as much as I need you for money for food. I could always scavenge like I've been doing the past two weeks and so no. You can deal with me being annoyed until you," but he was already walking off. So N'ah waddled after him still continuing.

"Until you start being more straight with me. It would have been far better if you said 'hey lets go eat so I can go over the details' not 'hey im going to tell you nothing." The chittering drowning out the mando jetpack nicely. "If your plan was to tell me more then then you need to inform me these things so I don't think you are going to be this difficult the entire time," like it seemed like N'ah was being. But that would surely improve with food and sometime to do besides sit around looking for something to do and looking hungry.

"Look-you know how things are on Nar Shadaa. I'm not trying to convey my business to the whole planet. It may seem insignificant to you, but I need a very specific datapad."

Dravien paused speaking as he stepped into the Cantina. He helped himself to a table in the back, waiting for the Kushiban, "I am only concerned about the datapad, we can split whatever is left. My "acquintances" are a small local gang, and they aren't very friendly."

The waitress brought the menu and the Sith motioned for his new associate to order whatever he wanted, within reason. He gave the Kushiban some time before continuing, "I can handle them if need be, but I need you to get me inside. I am a warrior; skulking around is not a skill I can pride myself on."

And there it was. A sith asking a Kushiban for help. They were an odd pair, but that might be for the best. A Kushiban and a human might draw unneccessary attention but they might be glossed over for the more common rabble that frequented Nar Shadaa. Dravien helped himself to an alcoholic drink, quite jovial, all things considered. He was more than eager to get things under way.

Finally buisness.

Ears flopping forward toward Dravien N'ah nodded. "See? That wasn't so hard was it. As I said you could have easily said 'wel talk inside'. Now I feel much better knowing you have an actual job offer for me." Taking a jogging hop at the chair once they found a table the Kushiban was able to clamber himself on top of it before having to kneel to have his chin over the top of the table. But that was all normal for him.

His head tilting to the side as Dravien continued. "What kind of gang is this? What do you expect them to have just lying around to be taken?" Skimming over the menu Tep finally ordered himself a appetizer that would be a full meal for him of something that vaguely resembled Pasta before he reached up to cradle his hands under his chin as he listened.

"Is there some kind of door you need me to find a way through or would you like me to make a song and dance in front of this dangerous gang and hope they run off to make me into a pair of mittens? Because one of those I can likely do and its not the second one."
