DESCRIPTION​

Scramble Keys are single-use slicing devices for non-slicers to quickly and easily slice into a computer terminal, attaching to the computer socket, giving the it's user the opportunity to bypass security measures without the necessary technical know-how. Scramble Keys are, however, notoriously inconsistent. Their quality can range from very poor, slow slicing speed (three posting rounds for civilian computers, seven for military-grade security), to high quality, incredibly fast slicing speed (less than one posting round for civilian computers, and two to three for military-grade security). This should be dice rolled when the Scramble Key is used, with the creator of the Key's slicing ability accounted for by adding or subtracting to the roll. The better the slicer who made it, the more you add to the roll; if acquired on the Black Market, do not add nor subtract.

INTENT​

To create a piece of slicing technology for non-slicers to use in the circumstance they require the capacity to slice into a computer system, and do not have a slicer on hand.

ADVANCED TECH​

YES. Scramble Keys are highly-illegal throughout the galaxy, and often come in sets of five, so to obtain one five-set of Scramble Keys you would need a tech plot one (at very least) or more threads in length. Obtaining one is usually viable through the Black Market, or through an individual slicer who is willing to make a sale.
