An unmarked Imperial ship, above Sneeve

Saric was ill-at-ease with this mission. The empire brought truth, justice and, most of all, order to the galaxy. Freeing one pirate from the clutches of another seemed to him a step backwards in that respect rather than forward. Nevertheless, this order had come straight from the top and so he would carry out the mission with all his usual skill and vigour on trust: trust that there were components he did not understand and that would come together in the fullness of time. His not to reason why and all that.

As for the mission in hand, he looked down to the planet they were over in low orbit. He looked from sea to mountain and from mountain to sea. Somewhere amongst this barren wasteland was the hideout of a deadly pirate band.

Not seeing any visual clues, Saric looked across the small cockpit to his colleague who was at at the scanning controls.

Now THIS was a mission suited for Rowan's skillset. The new Empress was very tactically proficient, as anyone with a lick of strategic ability could see the use of attacking the Old Empire indirectly, through former dangers turned into impromptu weapons. It was efficient and a simple thing to remove once their usefulness were gone, especially since they'd be kept under surveillance during that time. The hard part was still to come, though, in that they had to break the leader of their group of scum out of another group of scum's hands to seal the deal. He didn't know his teammate for this particular mission, though if he were chosen by the Empress to be his support then he had to be competent enough. The scanner beeped, showing a ship trying to hide out beneath an overhanging cliff in the sea. It was trying very hard to hide, so it seemed like a good place to start. "Here, let's start with this ship. If they're not the target, we'll keep searching. They do seem awfully keen on hiding, though."

"Look, the ridge seems to continue over there," Saric pointed out to the pilot, who started to bring the ship down. "Let's not ring the doorbell right away. If we approach from the southeast, we should be hidden behind that outcrop."

As the ship came down, the access ramp was lowered and Saric made his way down the companionway and keep a lookout ahead. The privilege of the other Sith's seniority was such that he could choose to come and investigate or to direct things from the ship. As he didn't know his companion before this mission, he didn't know what his preference would be.

As the ship touched down on the rock momentarily, he would sweep onto the barren waste and, whether he was alone or not, he would say "keep in touch," into his mouthpiece: either to his colleague or the pilot.
