SDK Issues (TF2 specific)

I recently nearly finished a map of mine. However, whenever I try to compile it, it stops at

PortalFlow: 0...1...

And then my comp lags until I end the VVIS process. I have never had this problem compiling before (I had a different one, but that was for a HL2:EP2 map I gave up on).

Things of note in the map:

It has many basic light sources as it is an interior map.

The level is rather large in some areas due to large gaps for people to fall and (once I have a kill region type of set up) die.



And no, this is not my first map.

And no, this is not my first map.

If it's a portal compiling issue, you need to double check to see which brushes are structural and which are detail.

I haven't even put details (to my knowledge) in this map beyond entities and blocks. There have been no overlays. I presently have been sticking to just getting my presently pretty early maps to function right, asthetics are low on my priority list. And to expand upon what I said: this is no longer just a TF2 problem. My only SP HL2 level also refuses to compile and thus load. I was having issues with it compiling properly before (as I believe I said) but it recently (until about two days ago) stopped working altogether.


Valve! :CStern I wish to know what is the problem here!

I would help you, but I've really never had trouble making any maps.

caulkbox the entire thing and see if that helps. I can't think of it being anything other than a portalling issue somewhere - the map has to be leaking.

but what about my SP map? It was working fine until I started having trouble with TF2.

I just like to say why I'm awesome at map making

This is the last post to be off subject:

Make a level that is multi-staged in Battlefront 2 that can be played balanced in multiplayer.
