''I would gladly teach him the ways of the blade. We can't have any more of you running around, can we?'' Huang replied.

He studied the armour as he moved around.

''I must say, it's my best work in the area.''

He smiled.

''And also, my first.''

 

[Kit]

"Personally, I don't see the harm in it, but the last time I tried, I had Colm breathing down my neck for weeks... It's like they're terrified of a Jedi without a blade! How does that make any sense!?"

Hector laughed. He knew full well how the other Jedi thought of him and his refusal of the blade. They didn't know whether to laugh, or to pity him. So they chose distrust, dislike and sometimes hate. Which did nothing to make him want to be more like them.

"Well, for a first attempt, it's truly beautiful. I'll let you know how well it protects me once I've had a chance to test it. Trust me when I say though, that if it lets me down, I shall be deeply disappointed in you, old man."

''They need to make it look like I'm not the only capable fighter when we go to war.'' Huang replied dryly.

''I'm sure you'll test it on your mission. Now go! The quicker your gone, the quicker I can start twisting your padawan to my way of thinking!''

He made shooing motions with his hands, chivvying him from the room.

 

[Kit]

Hector laughed, drawing his outer robes to him with the force, and slipping them on. He would clank, as he walked, but he had to get used to the armour sometime.

"Thank you, Master." He smiled broadly, and turned on the spot. As he neared the door, he stopped, and added, "Though somehow, I don't think he's going to much enjoy your style of teaching."

With that, he strode from the room, and away to his courtyard.
