Now that the time skip is looming right over us, I thought it would be appropriate to put out this call for padawan and companion. But before you rush into replying, let me tell you a couple things about what you might be getting yourself into.
Ze'kyre Saixc was raised in a Monastery as far as his memory serves. The best cultural reference I could give you to form an idea of his lifestyle is that of the Shaolin. His understanding of hand to hand combat is well beyond what most would consider typical, even of Echani. He learned from a young age to be the master of his own body and mind, so he is extremely disciplined. He is unrelenting in his own practice, and just as merciless to those under his tutelage. He will not put up with any laziness, not the slightest modicum.
Myself? I'm no Shaolin monk but I created this character because I am personally interested in the historical implications of the Echani. I'm huge into Martial Arts, always studying at least a couple at a time. I'm not talking MMA, nor am I talking exaggerated kung-fu-flick. I'm talking a technical application and implication of every step, every angle, every minor detail, and the thrill of the split second you have to capitalize upon it all. This is a large part of what leads me to be the type of roleplayer I am.
I consider PVP a bit of a specialty of mine. In fact, it largely perpetuated my interest in martial art after I began writing at the age of eleven. So I think it is important to consider that it is all I'm surely good for if you want to learn much from me :P
Do I think that defeating Sith and beating down other player characters is more important than collaborating to tell a powerful narrative? Yes.
Jokes.
All of us here (even the Imps) are writers and teammates first and foremost. Although our characters want what they want, as players we know that the story comes before our own desires.
But with that said, I digress. I'm looking for a padawan who aims to be amongst the best swordsmen of the New Jedi Order, and a partner who can commit to the details. Reading and re-reading posts is important. Before you ever begin to reanimate your character with a reply, you need a full picture of what is happening in your character's world. Not only is this crucial to PvP, but all around. You'll feel the awkwardness of exactly what I mean when your character goes to shake someones hand just to have it ignored unintentionally.
So if you're interested, either shoot me a PM or reply here. I'm also gauging interest for a couple of lessons, Including the Tiers of Echani Combat, and a class targeting Antarian Rangers on resisting the Force/Other applications of mastering ones body/mind/Qi to allow a near Jedi-like (yet totally non-fictional) capacity for Control. Who knows, Ze'kyre may even share his secretive lightsaber Form, which is developed from the most sacred of Echani Artforms. We're not talking any third tier here, kids.
