Selene Trakand, a female arkanian offshoot who lived during the Force Eternal era, was a simple widowed housewife who ran a small bakery on the planet of Ylesia. In reality she was was a criminal operating as a Syndicate fixer in the employ Durga the Hutt, a small time would be ring-leader within the Zaa Fenn crime family. Originally hired to run the numbers for Durga, Selene quickly gained his favor and ultimately came to serve as his majordomo. And while to those in the know she was but a pretty face by his side, she was the true power behind his "throne", operating from the shadows and letting Durga be the rather ugly face of their even uglier operations.

BIOGRAPHY

Selene was born on Arkania, to an Arkanian mother and a Sephi father. As an Arkanian-offshoot with Sephi blood, she was an outcast on both sides of her family, and managed to make it to her fifteenth birthday before running away from home. Having saved up over the years to start a life of her own, she wandered the Galaxy till she ran out of credits, which didn't take long. Forced to fend for herself she landed herself in a pickle on more than one occasion, till a few near death experiences and more than a few nights spent without food or shelter taught her how to survive on the street. The loss of naivety, along with the education she had received on Arkania allowed her to land small jobs that paid just enough to keep her fed and allow her to get till the next spaceport and hunt for her next job.

This continued for a few years, till she landed in Hutt Space, where her talents at bookkeeping landed her a job as an accountant for another outcast, a screwup of a hutt by the name of Durga. Durga came from a prominent enough family to not be fully cast away, but had been exiled to Ylesia to mind some minor operations on the planet and keep him away from the family's major holdings on Nar Shaddaa and Nal Hutta. Selene's accounting talents, coupled with a few lucky breaks at the right time that won Durga a great deal of money, quickly earned Selene the Hutt's favor. She quickly rose through the ranks of Durga's meagre operation, and within a year was serving as his majordomo.

During this time Selene built a new identity for herself, that of a mercenary by the name of Rose, under whose guise she was able to reap the benefits of Durga's connections to Zaa Fenn and orchestrate her own ascent within his small organization. It was at the hands of Rose that the "lucky breaks" that helped her earn Durga's trust were orchestrated. Durga, too incompetent to realize Selene's true influence, and too arrogant to consider that he could be getting manipulated, never realized that Selene had taken over his operation in all but name. And Selene worked hard to keep things that way, as working from the shadows allowed her more freedom to operate as she saw fit, without attracting the dangers that came with being in Durga's position.

ABILITIES

Selene received a decently expensive education on Arkania, along with training that has helped her in her current enterprises with the Zaa Fenn. Good with numbers and spotting patterns, something that allowed her to exploit the gambling scene on Ylesia on the way to current position, she is very much more on the side of brains in the brains vs brawn distribution of most crime families. A fully trained Teräs Käsi adept, she is also capable in a fight, as most in her line of work need to be. But while she is capable in combat, as Selene she keeps her combat abilities a secret.

Rose, infamous in some remote parts of the Galaxy as Bloody Rose, was a persona built by Zaa Fenn fixer Selene Trakand to operate as a mercenary and independent agent who could interact with other Syndicate members without letting Durga the Hutt gain any knowledge of her operations and schemes outside the realm of her responsibilities as his majordomo.

While Selene was a known, albeit low level, operator within the Zaa Fenn family as Durga's subordinate, Rose was who took on jobs that Selene could not take on without blowing her cover. Rose had the freedom to go to places, take on jobs, and meet with contacts that Selene the majordomo did not, and as such was invaluable to Selene's ambitions and plans for the future.

BIOGRAPHY

Rose is an enigmatic figure, with little known about her outside of her reputation as a reliable fighter and a mercenary willing to take on jobs most might refuse. The only connection between Selene and Rose is that the two are known to work together on occasion. Selene has made use of holograms and other means of misdirection to have the two make the odd appearance together to keep up the subterfuge.

OOC: Selene is the fixer, a secretive one at that, and Rose is the mercenary alias for when she needs to get her hands dirty (for when she needs to make sure something gets done right).

ALIAS

Born out of makeup, prosthetics, and a number of cybernetic modifications, Rose was a second life that Selene had created for herself. Cybernetic implants on her face, which acted as communication devices and also changed the modulation of her voice, a top of the line dermal implant that allowed her to change her hair style, color, and length at short notice, and some well applied make-up allowed Selene to become an entirely different person. On top of the physical changes, Rose was known to be a competent fighter whereas Selene herself has shown no combat ability whatsoever.
