Senate Fate

Alright so I've been gone for many many months and have done a lot of reading to catch up with everything that happened in the timeline pre-skip. I know the Republic's gone, right, got that, no issue. I just am wondering what exactly happened to the Senate specifically. I know the Sith took over Coruscant and have basically been their good old fascist selves, but I must've missed some reading stuff because the details of the Senate's fate are fuzzy (read: missing) for me. I'm trying to create a former Senator, so this is kind of a definite "need to know" thing. If somebody's got links or something to point me to, that'd be rad. Thanks!

Your fate would probaly depend on the planet. Since the republic is in 4 now with the Jedi, Mando and sith get some and the rest breaking off. I will had the sith have moffs.
