Name: Senetel Jedd

Faction: Jedi

Rank: Initiate

Species: Human

Age: Sixteen

Gender: Male

Force Sensitive: Yes

Personality:

Senetel is a character who often takes risks he knows he shouldn’t simply for the chance to prove himself to those around him. He has a humorous personality that he uses to his advantage. Since he was conceived, he has constantly strived to show that he is capable of anything and ready to take on anyone, even if he isn’t prepared to, which has cost him greatly in the past. Senetel tries to avoid conflict with anyone and everyone. On the rare occasion he is dragged into conflict, he will do everything he can to ignore it and make things as they were before. This, too, has harmed him on numerous occasions, although he would never admit it to you. Senetel has a strange obsession with the force. Something about infinite power appeals to him. After seeing the power of the sith during the raid on Tython, He began to question rather or not he should continue training to be a Jedi. He wanted power like that of the sith. It is times like these that he remembers his parents and wonders what they would think of him as a sith, making him reconsider. Senetel is occasionally overrun with these thoughts, making him hostile to those he is speaking to.Senetel tries to learn as much as he can from everyone who will teach him, although he will occasionally do things his own way.

Appearance:

Senetel is exactly six feet tall. His eyes are a bright blue and the same size as most eyes. His hair is a darker brown and is a bit longer than most hair, usually covering up his left eye. His part is on the right side of his head, between the center of the head and his right ear. He is always wearing a smirk on his face. He wears a brown vest/jacket over a white/ grey shirt.

Attributes:

Agility 7/10 Strength 4/10

Intelligence 6/10 Charisma 7/10

History 3/10 Blade 4/10

Force: 4/10

Senetel is a very fast, agile character. Most of the time, Senetel will try and stay undercover on missions, preferring to take a stealth approach rather than a brute- force strategy. However, if Senetel gets into any trouble, he will retaliate. His speed and stealth make him a perfect candidate for information retrieval. Although not the best, Senetel can use a lightsaber fairly efficiently. Senetel has learned how to use the force fairly well, although is still in training.

Backstory:

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away…

A Jedi named Raze Jokar was sent on a mission to find and capture a woman named Ettal Erith, who had betrayed the Jedi Army and turned to the Dark Side. Sworn to do what he was told, Raze Jokar headed off in his ship, Victory, to Coruscant, Ettal Erith’s last known location. Upon arrival, Raze was sent an alert telling him that Ettal had just been seen causing a commotion in a nearby bar. Raze headed there immediately. Upon entering the bar, Raze was shocked to find that every living soul there had been killed. Corpses of men and women lay on the floor, motionless. “I didn't do this.” A voice said. Raze, startled, drew his lightsaber and looked on in the direction of the voice. “I was framed for this. Someone wants me dead. Will you… please... help me?” A woman stepped out from the shadows. “I assume you are Ettal Erith?” Said Raze. “Yes. Yes I am. Please, I beg you. Take me away from here. Clear my name.” Raze felt sympathy for this poor woman. Taking her hand, Raze lead her aboard his ship and headed off. “The Jedi Council will never believe either of us. It is best you hide in my room and stay there until we can escape the order or clear your name. I will bring you food and water”. Raze did so, and day after day, the two would talk a little more. Eventually, Raze Jokar and Ettal Erith fell in love and had a child named Senetel. Knowing they could never possibly hope to hide a child, (or keep him alive, for that matter) Raze Jokar and Ettal Erith decided to give themselves up and give the child to the Jedi. Upon doing so, Raze was banished from the Jedi Army for harboring a prisoner. Raze and Ettal left the Jedi Army and headed off for Tatooine, where they would hide for years to come. The Jedi master Din Jek volunteered to raise Senetel and provide for him, and so it was. Din Jek and Senetel took a liking to each other, and Senetel thought of Din Jek as a father. At the age of eight years old, Din Jek started training Senetel to use the force. It was around the time that Senetel started training that his parents returned to the Jedi Army undercover to check on him. Raze Jokar and Ettal Erith had set up a home in a small cavern near the Jedi Temple. One night, Senetel was awoken from his sleep by his mother and father. They introduced themselves and explained what had happened to them. Senetel quickly took a liking to them. Every night, Raze and Ettal would visit Senetel and converse. In the mornings, they would head back to their hidden home and anxiously await the next night. During the day, Senetel would tirelessly train to become a Jedi. Din Jek was a massive role model in Senetel’s life, and Senetel strived to become like him. Every chance he had, Senetel would try to out perform everyone in his class. This lead to his obsession with proving himself to everyone he met.

One night, during a visit with his parents, Senetel heard an alarm sound. Afraid of his parents being discovered, Senetel told them to hide under his bed while he went and asked what the alarm was about. Heading to the front of the building, Senetel found his master and asked him what was going on. Din Jek looked at Senetel with a scattered face. “We are under attack” he said. Just then, the first bomb went off. Seeking the direction of the blast, Senetel turned around and saw the remains of his room. His parents. He screamed and tried to run for the remains, only to be grabbed by Din Jek. “It is only a room. It is not worth your life. The others are too far away for us to evacuate with them. We need to get to the escape pods ourselves!” Senetel had never told his master of his parents. Holding back tears, Senetel ran after his master to the escape pods. More explosions could be heard in the distance. “The pods are just around this corner” Said Din. Din turned the corner, and to Senetel’s shock, was shot. Din fell to the floor with a thud. Senetel whipped around the corner and drew his lightsaber. He saw only a silhouette running down the hall to the escape pods. Sheathing his lightsaber and turning around, Senetel fell to his knees beside his master. Din was dead. Senetel screamed in pain. Picking up his master’s body, he ran for a pod. Senetel gently set Din in the nearest escape pod, launching it as fast as he could. The moment the pod left, Senetel collapsed on the ground in a heap. He could no longer feel. He wanted to wake up from this sick, demented dream. He banged his head violently against the wall, hoping to wake up. Or pass out. Anything would be better than what he was feeling now.

A few days after the events of the battle of Tython, Senetel decided he was going to search for a new master to continue his training with. He traveled to Bespin in hopes of finding someone proficient in the force. It was here that Senetel met Ragos, a former Jedi and current shopkeeper. Ragos agreed to train Senetel in the force as long as Senetel helped manage the shop. Ragos taught much to Senetel over the course of several years. However, after two years had passed, Ragos grew weak with age and could no longer train Senetel. Senetel remained for another year, continuing to help manage the shop. At last, Senetel decided that he would never become proficient in the force if he stayed here. With that, Senetel told Ragos goodbye and headed off to find a new place to train. Upon hearing that there was a Jedi base on Dantooine, Senetel decided to travel there to complete his training.

Hey there, a few things to note as I'm sure you'll be submitting Senetel as a Jedi soon enough.
First of all, we are roleplaying in the Jedi Army this time and not the Jedi Order, so we don't actually have Padawans and instead use Initiates. If you haven't already, take a look through the Jedi Archives and specifically the Ranks and Organization for more details on that. :) Initiates are typically Padawans from the Order who are on the verge of taking their Trials, but decided to join the Army to fight against the Sith Brotherhood in the war. If I may make a suggestion, if you'd like to still play an Initiate (which is an optional rank - we encourage newer RPers to make Knights first), up his age a little more as most Jedi reach the rank of Knight near their 20s.

Secondly, the Jedi this timeline don't have anything against relationships or marriages, so Senetel's parents wouldn't have been banished from the Order for having done so. Also, unless he escaped in his own ship, all the younglings and padawans were taken to the temple on Ilum to continue their training before returning to Tython when it was rebuilt a few months later.

Unfortunately that might affect your character's backstory quite a bit, just let me know when you've made the changes and I'll take another look!

Alright! I just finished applying the changes. If anything is still broken or has questionable cannonicity, let me know!

Thanks a billion!
