It had been years since Tobian had last set foot on Kuat. His home planet. Ever since he ran away after killing his father and joining the Sith Empire's military. Well he had never taken the time to come back. There is no telling if authorities are still looking for him even after all of these years, and may be very risky to show his face. The man doubts that anyone will recognize him after all these years being away from home.

Well it is not home anymore. But it didn't mean that the streets he is walking along didn't spark any memories. Mostly of his childhood when he would play innocent war games with children around his age, and a few teenagers here and there. Boy how so much has changed since then.

One of the changes being the prosthetic leg of his. Funny thing is that as soon as he was able to do so, the officer walked right out of that hospital. And since then he had been on the move visiting other worlds as he adjusted to the new limb. Within it he had a lightsaber hidden that no one will fibd out about unless he opens the compartment. Or if someone knows about the make and model of his leg.

Stopping at a familiar place, a cantina he caught his father cheating on his wife with some woman. The man sighed and kept on walking until he came across another cantina that was not there when Tobian left. So it must have been built sometime after he had left.

Walking in he walked over to the counter, waving over the bartender, "One Kuatian Whiskey please. A double if you got it." He told the woman. Getting out a bit of money as the woman put a glass filled to rim in front of him, "Keep the change." He told her as Tobian walked over to a table in a corner. Taking a seat the man took a big gulp of the fluid, sighing at the familiar burn as it traveled down his throat. The man looked around at the vaguely decorated interior of the place. It must be either so new that no one is visiting it or busy hour has not started just yet due to how few people are in the place. Which is fine to Tobian since he is not here to draw attention on to himself. He is here to visit for the first and last time before bidding his hometown and planet good bye for good.

Up on the rooftop of the adjacent building, a cloaked figure kept watch over the cantina’s entrance.
Since it was evening, the deep blue cloak blended into the coming night sky very well.
Tynian had been sent to track and detain any and all Sith that dared to enter any Jedi friendly space. And even though the Republic had put a bounty on all Jedi declaring them outlaws, there were still those who thought the Sith were the real villains and sought to keep them away from republic space as best as they could.
The Sith he was tracking was very familiar to him... they had met over a meal quite a while ago and somehow struck up a friendship.
But this wasn’t a friendly visit. Tynian didn’t come there to be friends again, the Jedi was there to take a Sith into custody.

The night came quickly and rain began to fall, which helped the Jedi even more to stay hidden.
Now it was a matter of waiting for the Sith to come out...

Tobian took his time consuming his drink. As he sat there a woman who took interest in him took a seat next to him. The woman got a bit too close but the man didn't mind it. Having contact that has nothing to do with combat was a nice change.

Eventually though, the officer finished his drink just as night came. He heard the soft pattering of rain as he stood up. Bidding the woman good bye, Tobian stepped out of the cantina. He had no idea he was being followed as the man walked the path that took him to the home he murdered his father in.

Seeing the lights were on in the windows, told the officer that the home is occupied. Fine by him. The Kuatian had no plans to go inside the place. Adjusting his coat to keep the rain off of him, Tobian turned and walked away from the home to head towards a different location. This time he made the short walk to the location he got his very first taste of real combat. Clearing his throat, the man looked around as vivid images of that day came to mind. Wondering what kind of man he would have become if he didn't murder his father and flee to Sith territory.. Or experience this first taste of battle while saving the very man he will later murder.

He then started to wonder if he could.have left the Empire the day he met Tynian. No he couldn't. There is no telling if there is still a warrent for his arrest. Plus like then, he is in far too deep to change course now.

Following the Sith want al that hard, since he didn’t know he was being followed, and therefore wasn’t trying to hide from the Jedi.

As the Sith stood looking at the house, Tynian felt a sense of pity for him. Something happened here that shaped his destiny, but before Tynian could try to guess what that was, Tobian turned and headed down the street again.

The Jedi followed him at a distance, keeping his presence cloaked with the force so as not to alert the Sith.

Tobian frowned as he looked around at the part of town. When he was a child there was an attack here from cartel smugglers and mercenaries that allied with the smugglers. His father had told him the run and hide. But he couldn't bring himself to abandon the man he had respected at the time. Perhaps it was because of all the training and lessons his father had Tobian do. Perhaps that was part of the reason for the path that he followed. The other reasons being what took place in their home, and something his mother told him.

Running his hand through his hair, the Imperial Officer took another look around as the rain appeared to be coming down harder now, "Better go get under some shelter. Will not do any good to catch a chill now.." He said to himself as the man turned to leave. Planning to take the route he took back to his ship. Thinking he can take shleter there until the rain stops.

Tynian waited for the right moment as he followed Tobian back toward the space station. As the Sith turned a corner into an alleyway, most likely taking s short-cut back to his ship, Tynian used the force to hop down to the street behind him. "Hello there." he said as he landed onto the ground. "You are not supposed to be here Sith."

The Jedi kept his hand on his lightsaber, ready for whatever the Sith was going to try...

Tobian was just turning a corner to an alleyway that he was going to use as a short cut to get back to his ship. Now what he was not expecting was a pair of feet landing just behind him with an all too familiar voice. Though this time. He doesn't sound like he is stopping the Imperial for a friendly chat.

"Tynian." The man began as he put his hands up to show he is not armed. Though he was with his one CRC-3311 Blaster Pistol that was still secured to the holster on his right thigh and the lightsaber currently hidden in his prosthetic leg, "Is it really a crime to visit my homeplanet one last time?" The man asked as he finished turning, he had no interest in fighting the other man knowing his odds were slim to none. But if he must, he will.

"My apologies." Tynian replied. "But I was sent to bring you in." He didn't like this situation any more than Tobian did, but he wasn't going to disobey an order. "Will you come quietly..." he placed his hand on his lightsaber, "or do I have to convince you?"

What Tynian had to say to that made the Kuatian wonder if the Jedi knew of his involvment during the battle of Tython. If he did, then that will explain that part. But it still didn't answer how the jedi knew where to find him. Or the fact he was coming to this planet in the first place.

"How did you know that I was coming here? I never told you where I am from." The man asked as he pondered through his options. He could try to run away, but knowing now first hand the abilities of a Jedi the Imperial will not get very far. Then there is the option to stand his ground and fight. That is not a good option either since that option will result in injury or death as the end result. A reminder came to him as his left knee spasmed a bit. Then there is the option to surrender and simply wait for the right opportunity to get away. Now that is the better solution out of the three.

With a heavy sigh, Tobian reached for his pistol. Taking it out of it's holster the officer placed it on the ground and kicked it towards Tynian, "Convincing is not necessary." He replied quietly with a hint of defeat in his voice. His eyes remained on the lightsaber, his knee still spasmed at the memory of what damage a simple deflected bolt can do. He didn't want to know what an impact from the actual blade will do.

Tynian stood unmoving for a moment. Something wasn’t right about all this. he thought to himself.
As Tobian set his blaster down onto the ground, the Jedi shook his head.
“I really don’t know why they sent me for you. The Jedi are becoming extinct and I’m supposed to capture you? Instead we should be looking for a way to resolve this.”

He stepped back and shook his head again. “In all honesty, I don’t want to take you in, and I certainly don’t want to kill you.”

He flicked a finger and the blaster rose up from the ground and into his hand. The Jedi inspected it and then tossed it back to Tobian. “I’m surprised you don’t have a lightsaber yet. I can sense the force in you... albeit it seems dormant and untrained... but it’s there nonetheless. What happened to your leg? If I may ask.”

Tobian tilted his head in thought. It is indeed strange that Tynian was sent to capture him despite the Imperial technically being too low in the chain to be of any sort of hostage that will get the Sith's attention. The officer shrugged, "Granted me being an officer is enough ground to warrent capture. But I am still technically low in the chain. And with that no useful information."

The Imperial shifted a little on his feet, "Either way.. I am a dead man whether it is from you or you taking me in." The man watched Tynian lift his surrendered blaster pistol with the force. Watching the other man inspect the weapon, becoming a bit confused when it was returned to the Imperial with a simple toss. Wondering if the Jedi really did trust him that much. Granted Tobian has the same trust in the Jedi Knight standing in front of him, "... If you are saying I am force sensitive and just don't know it. It makes a little sense. My sister Shir is force sensitive with a little control of her abilities." The Kuatian lifted the sleeve of the left pant leg, revealing the prosthetic, "During the attack on Tython I was injured by a deflected bolt I fired. Doctors said it would be better to take the leg than for me to keep it." Speaking of lightsabers and what else Tynian said. The man got down onto one knee, popping open the hidden compartment he got out the lightsaber he was given by the War Master. Holding it in his right hand the Kuatian closed the compartment, then stood up, "During the attack Kalladrrl gave me this.. I must admit.. I've had thoughts lately. But at the same time. I am in far too deep to change course now. Perhaps it is because of this lightsaber I am having thoughts."

Tynian thought for a moment. He wasn’t going to turn this Imperial in anywhere... so he decided to go a different route. “I am sorry about your leg... I have decided I’m not going to take you in... instead I will escort you to your ship.”
The Jedi wrapped his cloak around himself and began walking with Tobian towards the spaceport. “It will give us time to talk a bit... about what’s going on lately.” He paused. “I know you are with the Empire. But can’t you see what they are actually doing around here? I know you’re not heartless... you must notice things right?”

Tobian secured his pistol in his holster, placing the strap along the back of the weapon to keep it in place. The Kuatian blinked as Tynian told him that the Knight will not be turning him anywhere. He is greatful for his decision. But wasn't Tynian going against orders? Placing the lightsaber back in the secret compartment of his leg he looked over to the other man as he approached, "It's fine. A limb these days can be replaced. And I am still here to watch over my sisters. Besides. There are nice perks with this leg." He told the Jedi as he stood up, "But by not taking me in. Aren't you going against orders?"

The Imperial Officer walked along side Tynian amazed at how restrained the Jedi is. Certain that if it was any other Jedi, he or she would have either killed him on the spot or turned him in, "Mm alright if you say so. It is still quite a ways from the spaceport." He told Tynian as the two walked, "I have indeed noticed things.. And have some regrets my friend. I am not heartless. But I am.. Just a foot soldier. I have to follow orders.. If I don't there is no telling what will become of my mothet and sisters. All I can do is follow the orders and hope someone has the heart to forgive me." Tobian looked to Tynian, "Things were stable before Evandrus was killed. ButI am not sure how much longer the battle would have been pushed back if we was still alive."

Tynian nodded. Remembering what had happened to the Jedi in the fight with Evendrus. “We lost some good people that day as well. A few masters of our Order died horrible deaths that day.

He walked beside Tobian and a thought cane into he head.
“Why would you think you need forgiveness?”

Tobian was not sure if they had lost anyone on the Sith side of the battle.. As far as actual Sith Knights and up. But they did lose a lot of foot soldiers, "I am not sure if any of the Sith were lost. But we did lose a lot in the Imperial Army. A lot of good people."

The Imperial looked to Tynian, "You don't know everything that happens behind the Sith borders.. And well. With your Jedi Order being declared enemies of the Republic. There is nothing to stop the Empress. Not after Tython.. If she does decide to go beyond that I don't know." The man stopped in his tracks, placing his hands on his hips, "Plus I uh.. At one point took part in a massacre all because one man insulted the Empress. Yes I was following orders. But.. I didn't see it at the time.. It could have been handled differently."

The Jedi agreed. “I think all of this could be handled differently.” He took a deep breath. “Because of the chancellor’s edict, I fear the Jedi are going to become extinct soon. Everyone is now hunting us down and killing us for credits. It just downs t seem right to me... but because of that, we will probably have to go into hiding, or try to make one final stand.”

The rain fell more and Tynian pulled his cloak tighter around him. “I’m not one to go hide somewhere, so I suppose my life in this galaxy won’t last much longer, if it comes to an all out war.”

He looked up and the rain hit his face. “There were so many things I’d still like to accomplish... but I don’t think I’ll get the chance. But such is the way of the force.”

Tobian listened closely to Tynian as he explained just how bad the edict is. Ok he knew that the Jedi were labeled as outlaws and hunted down. But he had no idea that it was threatening the Order with extinction. The man honestly thought that there were more Jedi than Sith. Guess he was wrong. The man frowned a bit, "I had no idea that the Jedi's situation that bad.. If I was not in such a tight.. Situation. I would offer you a place to live and hide.. Though where I live is not under Sith control.so it is possible to hide there and not be found." The man mentioned as the Officer looked around, yes the Jedi are his enemy. But Tynian is a friend. He is different.

The Imperial looked to his friend as the rain started to come down harder, seeming to match the mood of their conversation and meeting, "If it adds any consolation. If there is a final battle..I may be ordered to go. So my time in this galaxy may not be much longer as well." If there is going to be a final battle, there is a high chance that he will be ordered to go. And a foot soldier up against jedi will not last long. So if that is the case, then his days are going to run out.

Tobian looked at Tynian solemnly, "Well.. If there is limited time for the two of us. There is still some time to accomplish something. Like you could help hide youngsters away so the Sith don't find them. Or secure Kyper Crystals and hide them. There is a lot you can accomplish..it may not be what you visioned yourself doing. But it is still something." The man had no idea what sort of plans that the jedi had. But it never hurts to make suggestions.

The thought of hiding just wasn’t in Tynian’s characteristics... “I can’t just leave and expect things to get better. If I truly believe that I am in the right, then I should be fighting for that belief. If not... it makes me a hypocrite.”
He kept walking for a bit until the spaceport cane into view. Then the Jedi stopped and turned to face his friend.
“This is where I take my leave. I would hope that our paths cross again, but I highly doubt that it will happen.” He held out a hand and gave a friendly smile. “Take care of yourself Tobian. And may the force be with you.”

Tobian thought about what Tynian was saying. If their situations were reversed, the Imperial will not be the type to hide and hope things will get better. He looked to the Jedi, "I am not the type to hide either. If our situations were reversed I would be doing everything in my power instead of hiding."

Tobian saw the space port come into view, knowing that their conversation will be coming to an end. He too turned to face the Jedi as the Knight turned to face the officer, "Tynian. I hope our paths will cross again but if they don't.. Well may the force be with you and guide you my friend." The man knew that this will be the last time that they will meet, fitting that it is as the last time friendly. It was sad that their conversation has ended so soon.

Then a thought came to him as he had used his mother's Nubian Starship to get to Kuat. It has enough room for four people and his mom dropped a hint on him about something stashed onboard, "Would you like to come into my ship to get out of the rain until is passes?" He asked, "I am not trying to capture you since you have not tried to turn me in. Consider it an.. Offer of a place to shelter at until the storm passes." Tobian explained. Hoping it will give him more tike with the jedi.

Tynian thought for a moment on the offer from Tobian. The Jedi didn't sense anything amiss coming from the Imperial, so he nodded. "I think a brief respite from the rain would be welcome. Lead the way my friend." The Jedi followed Tobian into the spaceport and to the ship. It was nice to be out of the rain and to be able to warm up a bit.
