This Defender-class light corvette from the Old Republic has been passed down through the A'ang Family for many generations and kept in perfect shape. It was given to Shal by his Father Shjaak A'ang.

The corvette could be flown by a single pilot, and it was equipped with heavy shielding, two sets of dual laser cannons, and missiles. The ship's interior was laid out over two decks, and a secure holoterminal, transceiver, multiple conference rooms, and a medbay were among the vessel's numerous amenities.

R9 is very useful around the ship, helping it run and helping with malfunctions he is also useful in flying the ship when Shal has other things to attend to. R9 is different from all other robots to Shal's eyes considering him a good friend and nice to be around. R9 would do anything for Shal as he has stated it before.

Shal has great confidence in himself and his abilities as well as his skills with his lightsaber and always tries his best to become stronger to protect his fellow friends from harm. Shal can be quite irritating sometimes bothering even the most calmed of person's although he does try to suppress it, it's unavoidable.

BIOGRAPHY:

Shal Baatch; Born Shal A'ang Ebonclaw was the son of the Jedi Master Shjaak A'ang and the Weaver Dalshara Ebonclaw. He was born on the Planet Delmagh on the Cave Temples.

Beginning

There was once a young girl who's connection with the Force was strong. She was the daughter of the Matron, Dalshara Ebonclaw. At the age of 20 she began her Weaver training, learning the ways of the Weaver Society. As the years passed she trained and trained until she became a True Weaver, mastering in controlling Water. Years passed and her favorite past time was walking through the streets, watching everything that happened around her. And for the first time in her life she walked towards the Commoner's District where she met a man and fell in love with him. This man was known as Shjaak A'ang, he was a Force User and tried to keep it a secret. Since he was a commoner no one paid attention to him and as the years passed Shjaak and Dalshara wanted to have their own Family. Dalshara faked her death and escaped with Shjaak far away from the nearest Danthiri Civilization where they couldn't be sensed. There Dalshara gave birth to Shal but died as she did. Before her death thought Shjaak managed to become a Jedi Master and returned just in time to take care of his son. Shjaak saw the potential in his son and thought of training him.

Training

The First Day of training was quite difficult for Shal, to his eyes everything would be different from that day on. But he never knew how difficult it would be, he was entering a new world which he never knew about and indeed from that day on it would all be different to his eyes. His Father Shjaak A’ang on the other hand was confident that his son would not fail and become a great Jedi Master just like him. But they never knew the hardships that they would face that day. The first day was a disaster, no matter what Shjaak did his son Shal was not able to fully understand and control the power inside him, resulting in extensive damages to everything surrounding them as Shal released his power. Shjaak managed to control his son, and from that they he learned to have Faith in his son as well as to wait until Shal manages to control his powers.

The Entrance

Three years after the incident Shal and Shjaak went to the Sacred Cave, a Hidden Cave inside the Cave Temples. There he and his Father would train in the ways of the Force. While there Shal learned to control his powers and managed to learn more about the Force, to feel it inside him and to be a part of the Force. While in there the days passed and Shjaak had left his son there so he would have total peace as he meditated. Three days passed and his Father returned with some food and water but all he received was a straight forward “No” Shjaak questioned this but Shal asked his Father to train him, stating that he was ready to become a Jedi. Shjaak chuckled as he stated that he had much to learn but he was willing to train Shal. There he began teaching him Force abilities such as Telekinesis and Force Push/Pull. Days passed and once he mastered those abilities he began showing him other abilities such as Breath Control and Force Jump. And as the days passed he began growing stronger until Shjaak had nothing more to teach Shal but how to wield a Lightsaber.

Shal and Shjaak dueled many times which in the end Shjaak would be victorious. But Shal never gave up, he began training on his own and grew stronger, feeling confident that when he faced his Father he would win, but he failed in the end. After their fight he began accustomed to wielding two lightsabers. Noticing this his Father taught him the form Jar’Kai, which he later became an expert in and managed to defeat his Father proving that he was ready to make his own lightsabers instead of always using his Father’s old lightsabers.

The Sacred Cave

Shjaak took Shal back to the Sacred Cave where they kept a stack of many different Crystals deep inside the Cave. As Shal journeyed around the Cave he saw something in the distance flashing , he ran towards it and as he reached it he noticed it was a Hurrikaine Crystal which he took and kept walking around as he came to a stop, as he saw a bright formation infront of him which he ripped a Crystal from feeling that it was the one as well as the Hurrikaine Crystal. He went outside of the inner cave and back to the Sacred Cave, there he showed his Father the Crystal which he recognized as a Adegan Pontite Crystal, very powerful and rare. Shjaak left the cave and left his son to make his Lightsabers which he figured would take a while. Shal began meditating as he began creating both lightsabers at the same time, to keep his concentration he began reciting the same words his Father told him.

"The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined: the crystal, the blade, the Jedi. You are one.”

After he finished Shal left the cave and walked towards his Father who was waiting next to a ship and a droid. Shjaak congratulated his son and as a gift he gave him his ship and the droid “The Nebula Promthius and R9-T6” Shal bid farewell to his Father as he boarded his new ship and left to find the Jedi and complete his training and become a Jedi Master like his Father.

Shal Baatch

Shal looked around the ship and found a Holocomunicator which he activated. The Holocomunicator showed a young man who introduced himself to be Shjaak A'ang, his Father. Shjaak began explaining what this message was for, explaining his connection to Dalharil Ebonclaw which later changed her name to Dalharil Baatch. Shjaak found this information but it's still unknown from where. He informed his son about his family's history, giving him every single detail about the past. After explaining this to his son the message bid his son farewell and turned off. From that moment on Shal decided to take on the name of Baatch in honor of Dalharil Baatch.

I see that you've put down four lightsaber forms, even though you say two haven't been learned yet. Padawans are only allowed to learn one form. And I can't see the pictures for your lightsabers.

Hurrikane crystals can only be found on the planet Hurikane. Also they arnt like normal crystals. They literally come from the Hurikane species So you wouldnt be able to find them in a cave, but in planet Hurikane, and by extracting it from the species itself.

EDIT: I can see your lightsabers so it might not be you. I like them though.

I said we had stacks of Crystals including Hurrikaine Crystals meaning that they where placed there.

And The things that say "Not yet" means I have yet to learn them

You aren't allowed to know 2 lightsaber forms only one. Unless you learn them IC and even then I'm not sure if you can. And saying he doesn't know them yet is just confusing to some so I'd just get rid of all force powers and everything and put them in a spoiler at the bottom.

Other than that stuff it seems good. I've only glanced at the bio though so there might be a problem as to how he learned those force abilities also.

EDIT: The name Baatch sounds familiar, if it's a canon name and you're saying he's a descendant of said canon person you'd have to discuss it with the admins. Though I could just be remembering something from some other book...

I wouldn't necessarily call someone who will rush head long into battle, without assessing the situation, calm and collected. :p :CHappy

I can also see the pictures of the lightsabers.

And you didn't understand her. I've talked at lenghts with Empress about the Baatch bloodline, as well as the Danthiri and the early lore of SWRP. The last Danthiri Baatch was Dalharil, whom had a Sith pureblood wife, and they had a quarter human, quarter Danthiri, half-Sith, child whom was sterile. So that half of the Baatch bloodline would have died off roughly four or three thousand years ago. The other half of the Baatch bloodline was Alderaanian as well as Crystavian, and would in no way be related to the Danthiri.

So if you want this character to be Danthiri, you'll have to come up with a new surname (like Ebonclaw if you really want him to be a distant relative of Tiera).

Secondly, you will have to edit your background. First of all, Delmagh is extremely isolated. Without knowing how to reach the cluster (which is one of THE biggest secrets in the galaxy, that I believe only a select few, including two of Empress' characters, knows), there is no way a Jedi would reach the Tynan Cluster, and Delmagh, without being well into his sixties or seventies.

Thirdly, the Danthiri society is extremely matriarchal, and equally superstitious. There is no way a male (or jaluk) Jedi would be allowed to teach a Danthiri (male or not) child in the ways of the Force. In Danthiri society, males are little more than cattle and breeding stock. Had the child been female, she would have been taken away by the Matrons and the Weavers, and taught how to harness the Force in the Danthiri way. A male Force user would have been killed or exiled quite quickly. And given how all Danthiri are capable of sensing Force Sensetives, that wouldn't take long.

You have the start of a good character here. I just think you need to discuss this a bit further with Empress/Adena.

EDIT: Also, I just noticed. Your character is 17 years old. For a half-Danthiri, seventeen years is roughly the equivalent of being ten human years. For a pureblood Danthiri, you'd be barely beyond the equivalent stage of a toddler. 100 years for a Danthiri pureblood is the equivalent of a Human's 18.

Just a few points: should be easy to work with.

1) I'm fine with the baatch name used as said, but a few things:

there are no danthiri named baatch save for Dalaharil - she adopted the name after learning whom her mother was, and when she turned her back forever on her danthiri house.
any danthiri from said bloodline would have come from Matron Tiera ( dalharils twin sister) and is as such an Ebonclaw - not Baatch ( but again remember Dalharil and Tiera are sisters, both had the same alderaanian baatch/keldrommas mother)

- though the padawan ADOPTING the same last name in honour to A) Dalharil as she was a prominent figure i the Jedi order- or in honour of the " late" sage master Skhai Baatch ( as again people THINK she's dead) would work, they would be distant cousins after all

2) I'd fill in a good bit to flesh out the early life... Force sensitive males are usually killed at birth because as I mentioned " weaving and use of the fashka ( force) is a female ONLY thing. However....If his Mother was attuned she would have been a very very prominent weaver, and a very powerful figure from the house of ebonclaw...most likely a daughter of the Matron ( most likely out of at least 10 sisters) a force attuned father MAY have lucked out and been from an outcast house or commoner she happened upon and fell for- that could have offered some protection and allowed her to send her child off if she felt the need to hide or protect her son from rest of danthiri society ( and more over her mother)

1.7 seems a little tall for the age, but within possibility, just would make him very very tall for the species.

age, if your aiming for " equal to 17" then he would be in his early 90's like 92, 93 - danthiri are considered adult at 100 ( equal to 18 to 20 by human standards)

I like that hes impulsive though, For Danthiri base emotions, instinct and such are very very very very difficult to fight, and let fall to the side- so that seems totally right actually for the species reguardless of what they do in their life.

But you said that Tiera hade many wives as Matron. That's when I asked if it was possible for her to have children connected to the Baatch name which you then replied saying that I would have been her great great great you know. Doesn't that mean I would be a Baatch?

Also I stated that the Jedi Shjaak A'ang was the Father of Shal Baatch. Meaning he must know his way around.

No. Tiera's name was Tiera Ebonclaw. Her daughter took the surname Baatch later, upon learning the true name of her human mother, in the greater Galaxy. Before that, when Dalharil was in the isolated Tynnan Cluster, she was named Dalharil Ebonclaw, just like her mother, sister, aunts, and step-mothers were all named Ebonclaw. So your character would be named Ebonclaw or A'ang.

Also I stated that the Jedi Shjaak A'ang was the Father of Shal Baatch. Meaning he must know his way around.

Except I stated that it isn't possible for Mr. A'ang to reach the system, which makes "knowing his way around" moot. Site canon takes prescedence over your personal beliefs, I'm sad to say.

( Note however that while all Danthiri can sense the force being called upon or altered, they cannot detect the nature of it's use, nor can they sense it beyond a few hundred yards. Thus supporting the claim that they were intended to serve as bloodhounds by the rakata)

They can't sense "IT" beyond a few hundred yards.

Shjaak A'ang is a Danthiri meaning he must know his way to his home.

I'm aware. I've played Danthiri. It still doesn't invalidate any of my points here, nor those made by Empress, which you'll have to adress.

Just letting you know you need to put the link on your Signup. Also you shouldn't be trying to argue with Empress on this, she basically made the species.

I think there was a misunderstanding:

Tiera IS of the Baatch line by blood. she, and her sister Dalharil are daughters of Adena Keldrommas( aka Amara Baatch/Empress Viea) Both were raised by their other mother Matron Lirreka Ebonclaw.- Dalharil ran away and decades later changed her lastname to Baatch in honour of her human mother- Tiera however did not, she remained ebonclaw - eventually killed Lirreka and took her place as the Matron of house Ebonclaw.

the only Baatch from that point on were Crystavian

but as I said, changing his name later in honour of dal or skhai or something would be totally fine, and be not too unlike that Dalharil did when she distanced herself from her house

The Bloodline is what matters, and the bloodline is still intact more or less. only things changing off and on were names, Viea's blood flows in Ebonclaw, Baatch, and Amani - they all share the same root

And as both I and Empress stated earlier, Force Sensetive male Danthiri are not taught how to use the Force. They are killed. So the fact that your character's father is a Jedi is extremely unlikely...

It wouldn't really matter if she later changed her name to Baatch I'd still be related to her by blood. Making me a Baatch too. Tiera and Dalharil where both Baatch and their descendants would carry the same name as them. It's only logic.
