  Shimada was born on Nar Shaddaa though both his parents were from Thrysus. His parents were killed sometime during his pre-teens. This caused him to have to mature quickly and was what began his forays into the underworld to survive. He did any and all jobs thrown at him from simple clean up jobs to assassinations to scrape up enough money to leave Hutt space for good. He got his opportunity during the rise of the Sith empire and the subsequent wars it fought.
  
  He booked one of the first shuttles off the wretched planet taking his small nest egg and fleeing to Imperial space. He made a 'living' in the Imperial underworld until shortly into the reign of the new Empire after the upheaval of the Sith. He was caught doing a job taking important schematics from an Imperial database. The newly formed ISB was looking for ciphers and someone who was capable of making it through multiple security layers in a database seemed like a good fit.
  
  So far he's done mostly small jobs for the agency. Trying to keep a low profile so he doesn't become a 'go to guy' like he was in his desperation. Though with the Hutt-Imperial war outcome he may have been handed an opportunity to ply his skills. Having a Hutt controlled underworld and influence in Imperial space would be detrimental to his new home. So he offered himself to weaponize the underworld of the Empire against the Hutt's and their influence over it.
