since i wanna improve my skills at designing and drawing space ships i will be posting any final and partial designs exclusively to this site.

feel free to use them however you like:

• as the design for a new ship
• modify for specific instances of a ship
• redrawn for a slightly differant look

the drawings are compeltely free for use on this site, i merely ask that they do not LEAVE this site.

not a ship but ship related:

Breacher Pods.

designed to breach planetary blockades and deliver supplies and equipment to gorund forces without needing to land a ship.

these pods consist of 2 parts, the internal cargo pod no bigger than an average huminoid and the outer protective casing, most pods come with circular canisters to make filling pod easier, breacher pods are fired from specially prepared cannons making ship modifications nessesary

the outer casing consists of a low levle engine to assist getting past blockades a very narrow attack profile and an interferance generator at the nose behidn the armour, the interferance generator creates static and inteferes with targeting sensors making automated sensors next to useless to detect and fire on it, and its narrow attack profile makes it difficult for most gunners to spot the pod before its too late.

the armour plating itself is multi layered to protect the cargo pod from pressure and heat, much like laminated layers for bullet resistant glass, and is designed to slowly combust when pressured and heated such as when enterign an atmosphere, carefully angled plates means that the pod is able to carefully correct its own trajectory to stay true to the original targeted site, when the pod leans other plates are combusted in response to the intensity until it returns upright.

the pod thereby slows itself down to safe speeds for both ti and its cargo when it hits the ground usually leaving not but a small crater, with intertial stabalizers inside helps protect the contents.

the armour plating is susually destroyed by the time pods hit the ground making retrieving the contents easy.

strengths:

• narrow attack profile and inteferance generators makes it nearly invisible to gunners and sensors
• able to easily get past both small and massive ships in a blockade
• able to self correct its own trajectory and attitude during atmospheric entry
• eliminates the need for ships to touch down
• requires advanced notice or very experienced commanders to intercept
• very good at shipping long and narrow objects or lots of small objects
• may sacrifice goods to drop pod droids (expect impact damage)

Weaknesses:

• defenseless against gravity wells or tractor beam based technology and are easy to intercept and retrieve if aware of the pods use.
• armour plating is usless if a lazer cannon actually hits and with ignite the entire armoured casing
• cannot ship large bulky items without dissasembling them first
• cannot punch through astroids or armour, so if it hits something before hitting the ground pod will simply stop in its tracks
• requires specilized modifications of ships, making intention easy to spot and may alert blockades
• cannot drop organics inside the pod
• as most of the technology is destroyed in use, breacher pods are very expensive to use in comparison to returns for cargo.

im dubbing this the TCX-3 Advanced Actis Interceptor.

slightly increased size, extra armouring, greatly improved engines to incorporate a hyperdrive AND the addition of a low power shield and a rear gunner.
as far as canon goes, i imagine it was designed just after the empire arose to assist vader and the inquisitors on the jedi purge and later against rebel cells.

i did a hybrid of the arc 170 star fighter and the z95 head hunter wiht some alterations.

i like this better than the TCX-3 which im not happy with.
