The hovertruck jolted as it stopped at it's destination. Cardinal pulled his mask over his head, and checked his weapons, nodding to the men and women that sat beside him. "It's go time, ladies and gents, remember why we're here, only the money, a quick in and out. Lets move out." The doors to the truck opened, and men and women rushed out of the truck, masks on and weapons in hand. They rushed up the steps of the exterior of the bank. "Team 2 how much time we got before the pops get ticked?" Team two had shut down the bank's security and alarm features, preventing any distress signals to be sent to the police. "Roughly ten minutes sir." A burly man said. Cardinal smirked, more than enough time.

Cardinal had participated in over a dozen bank robberies, and still he was always nervous when he first went in. Cardinal looked to his men and women, some young and some old, some with families. He didn't care. They knew their place.

[Miha Archan]

Miha had abandoned his robes for a suit off the rack at a charity shop, it was a size too small and it needed three washes to get the smell of stairwell piss out of it, but it was cheap and so bland eyes would’ve glazed right over it. Bank robberies were a delicate art, when played right they were actually a remarkably safe way to make money in this day and age. But if you hit the wrong target, and if you hit it poorly, then you end up smeared across the walls. His employer was a consummate professional however, Miha had faith it’d progress smoothly. When the van doors opened, Miha pulled a simple woollen mask over his face and stepped out alongside his temporary comrades. He took up the back, ascending the stairs at a casual pace as the rest of the team ran ahead.

The huge bank doors were opened, and the criminals rushed in. "OK! Everyone get down, this is a robbery! Anyone moves and we shoot!" Cardinal yelled, and he shot some bolts into the ceiling to prove they weren't messing around. The security guards were handcuffed, and their blasters and comlinks removed. Cardinal motioned for several of his men and women to go to the bank tellers. Others would stand guard and watch the citizens. Cardinal the separated another group of his people to follow him down to the big vault. Today would be a huge payday. "Let's get this done as fast and non-violent as possible. I want minimal casualties."

[Miha Archan]

Miha entered the door just as the last the last of the security had been disarmed, peering over his head he checked no unlucky civilian was crossing the street by the bank, before waving one of his colleagues over to keep watch while he joined the Cardinal’s group. He shadowed his employer as they went further into the building, Cardinal was his paycheck as far as he was concerned, and one he needed to keep secured. Once they’d left the crowd behind, Miha spoke up for the first time since he’d accepted the job, “You’re sure about this bank? I know these guys are no Hutts; but they’re the kind of guys to kill you, then go to work on you.” He scratched his neck under the itchy wool, adding, “I was at a gallery here once, they had a guy and his husband sliced into thirty pieces and frozen in ice, displayed like a sculpture.”

The plan was working, so far. Cardinal's vault group continued through the hallway. All the guards had been subdued and the security camera and footage disabled and destroyed. Cardinal was completely focused and cooled the whole time, until someone new on the team spoke up. Cardinal stopped, raising his hand signaling the rest of the group to stop. He turned to the voice, "I have complete confidence in this bank. I've been monitoring security patterns for the past two weeks. I have the blueprints for the entire layout of the bank." Cardinal chuckled. "Plus if i were you, I wouldn't be worried. If the plan doesn't work, it won't be you being killed, it'll be me." Cardinal had no idea what the man was trying to play here. If the man was attempting to scare anyone, it wasn't working. The group Cardinal was leading were stone cold killers. The type that performed the action the man described, on others. That was the whole reason Cardinal had hired them, most of them completely loyal to him. Without Cardinal they'd be back to doing petty store robberies and holding store clerks for ransom. Cardinal gave these men a purpose. And a paycheck.

[Miha Archan]

Miha stopped just behind the group, taking a small step back as Cardinal turned towards him. He apologetically shrugged in response to the comments, “Just making conversation, Boss Man;” Miha checked his watch as he continued, “I’ve got no doubts about your rationale, I was just curious to hear it.” Even with his face hidden, it was clear he was being earnest. Miha liked to learn on the job, after all, the only way to get better at a game is to meet a better player.


“Not to sound like a screb, but this is a time sensitive affair.” Miha added, nodding towards the corridor.

Each second they spent talking was a second wasted. "Alright, let's go." It was funny how the man reminded Cardinal of time when it was he who started the conversation in the first time. Cardinal would have to look into the new guy later, after the job, if all things went right. They continued through the halls and a few moments later, they arrived at the vault. Two burly security men blocked the path, with stun guns in their hands. Cardinal didn't even have to mention a word or give a signal, before the men were taken out lethally. To reassure any new addition to the team's minds Cardinal stated, "Don't worry, it's part of their job, as is this is ours. A matter of life and death folks." They walked up to the vault, and he heard someone say, "Uh boss, how we gonna get it?" Cardinal smiled, "Let me worry about that." Luckily the vault door was made of simple metal. Cardinal however didn't plan to go through the door, he planned to go through the wall next to the door.

Withdrawing his lightsaber from his belt, he ignited the bright red blade, and inserted it into the wall, cutting a rectangular shape large enough for the people to enter. Once he was done, Cardinal put his saber back and motioned for his people to enter. "Take everything. I need two guards to watch our back."
